Chapter 269: Chapter 188: Sifan, this is the room prepared for you

"This... How big is this lawn?" she couldn’t help but ask.

Lu Fan smiled. "I’ve never measured it, but it’s big enough for a run."

Big enough for a run?

This wasn’t just ’big enough for a run’; it was practically a small golf course!

’This is incredible,’ Jiang Silu marveled.

After crossing the lawn, a standalone building appeared before them.

Lu Fan pushed open the door, revealing a huge gym inside.

There were rows and rows of treadmills, along with all sorts of equipment whose names she didn’t know.

A mirrored wall stood in one corner, and the floor was covered with professional-grade athletic flooring.

Several yoga mats were placed by the window, basking in the warm sunlight streaming in.

"This is the gym," Lu Fan said. "I use it a lot. If you ever want to work out, feel free to come anytime."

Jiang Silu nodded, looking around with fascination before taking out her phone to snap a picture.

A few steps after leaving the gym, they came to another separate building.

He pushed the door open, revealing a basketball court inside.

It was a standard-sized court with a gleaming floor and hoops with adjustable heights.

There was even a rest area on the sidelines with a few water coolers and chairs.

"There’s actually a basketball court in the house?!" Jiang Silu’s eyes widened.

Lu Fan nodded. "Yes. If Sifan comes over, he can play here."

Jiang Silu took out her phone and snapped another picture.

She thought about her brother playing ball at school. She couldn’t imagine the look on his face if he knew there was a huge basketball court here.

Next to the basketball court was yet another building.

Pushing the door open revealed a badminton court.

It was also a standard court, with white lines painted on the floor and the net pulled perfectly taut.

There was even an automatic shuttlecock machine on the side, which looked very professional.

"There’s a badminton court, too?!" Jiang Silu was at a loss for words.

Lu Fan replied, "It’s usually for entertaining guests. Playing badminton is a nice change of pace sometimes."

Jiang Silu silently took out her phone to take another picture. She even considered just leaving the camera app open.

After leaving the badminton court, there was another building next to it.

Lu Fan pushed open the door to reveal an indoor swimming pool.

The water was a brilliant blue, so clear you could see the bottom.

Lounge chairs and towel racks were arranged around the pool’s edge.

The ceiling was made of glass, allowing sunlight to shine directly in.

"A swimming pool..." Jiang Silu murmured.

Lu Fan nodded with a smile. "It’s more comfortable for swimming in the summer, but the water temperature can be adjusted in the winter."

Beyond the swimming pool, there was also a tennis court, a billiards room, a media room, a wine cellar...

One after another, Jiang Silu had already lost count.

A word suddenly came to her mind—paradise.

’This must be paradise.’

She kept snapping photos with her phone, wishing she could capture every single corner.

To send to Song Miaomiao, to her mom, and to save for herself to look at later.

After more than an hour of walking, they had only seen half of it.

Seeing that she was getting a little tired, Lu Fan said, "Let’s go have breakfast first. We can see the rest this afternoon."

Jiang Silu nodded and followed him back.

The dining room was on the first floor of the main building. It was huge, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the lawn.

When Jiang Silu entered, someone was already waiting inside.

A well-dressed, middle-aged man stood by the dining table. When he saw them enter, he gave a slight bow.

"Sir, Young Miss," he said with a smile.

Lu Fan introduced him. "This is Old Luo, the butler. He manages everything at the manor."

Old Luo smiled at Jiang Silu and replied, "Young Miss, you look so much like your mother."

Jiang Silu was taken aback for a moment, then asked shyly, "You... you’ve met my mother?"

Old Luo nodded and explained, "I have. The Sir was still young back then. The Madam was very beautiful and had a wonderful air about her."

Jiang Silu didn’t know what to say, so she just smiled.

Old Luo then prompted, "Please have a seat, Young Miss. Breakfast will be ready shortly."

Jiang Silu sat down, and Lu Fan sat across from her.

Soon, people began to serve the food.

First came a few side dishes, all exquisitely plated. Jiang Silu didn’t recognize any of them.

Then came the congee. It wasn’t ordinary congee; it was sprinkled with something that looked like gold foil.

Next were the dim sum, each one small and delicate. Some were shaped like flower petals, others like little animals.

Jiang Silu was dazzled by the sight.

Several more dishes arrived—steamed, boiled, pan-fried, deep-fried—and every single one looked like a work of art.

She counted more than a dozen dishes, and they were still bringing more.

"This... this is so much!" She looked at Lu Fan in astonishment. "Is this all just for the two of us?"

Lu Fan nodded. "Yes. Give it a try and see if you like it."

Jiang Silu looked at the breakfast spread covering the table. There were so many things she had never seen before.

One dish looked like a steamed bun, but its wrapper was transparent, allowing her to see the filling inside.

Another looked like a pastry, garnished with edible gold foil.

There was also something that looked like soup, but the tureen was made of jade, so exquisite she was reluctant to even touch it.

She swallowed hard, glanced at Old Luo standing nearby, then at Jiali and Chen He in the distance. "Why don’t... why don’t we all eat together? There’s so much, I can’t possibly finish it all myself."

Old Luo shook his head with a smile and explained, "Young Miss, that would be against the rules. We are servants; we cannot dine at the same table as the master."

Jiang Silu paused, then looked at Lu Fan.

Lu Fan said with a hint of helplessness, "I told you before, they’re very principled. You won’t be able to persuade them."

Jiang Silu had no choice but to give up. She picked up her chopsticks and took one of the transparent buns.

She took a bite, and savory broth spilled out, filling her mouth with flavor.

"Delicious!" she couldn’t help but exclaim.

Lu Fan smiled. "If you like it, eat more."

Jiang Silu tried a few other dishes. Every single one was unbelievably delicious.

She did her best to eat, wanting to finish everything on the table so nothing would go to waste.

But there was simply too much food. After eating for a while, it looked as if the dishes on the table had barely been touched.

Watching her, Lu Fan said with concern, "Eat slowly, there’s no rush."

Jiang Silu put down her chopsticks, saying with some embarrassment, "It’s too much, I can’t finish it."

Lu Fan, however, said calmly, "If you can’t finish it, don’t worry about it. There will be plenty of opportunities in the future."

Jiang Silu nodded and took a sip of the congee.

She didn’t know what it was made with, but it was fragrant and thick. As she swallowed, a pleasant warmth spread through her stomach.

Halfway through the meal, Lu Fan suddenly asked, "Did you sleep well last night?"

Jiang Silu nodded. "I did, extremely well! That room... it was so beautiful. I’ve never seen a room so beautiful before."

Lu Fan laughed. "I’m glad you like it. From now on, you can come whenever you want."

Jiang Silu paused and looked up at him. "Really?"

Lu Fan chuckled. "Of course, it’s true. You’re my daughter. This home is your home. You can stay wherever you like and come whenever you want."

Jiang Silu looked at him, a warm feeling swelling in her heart.

She lowered her head and continued to sip her congee, but the corners of her mouth couldn’t help but curve into a smile.

Lu Fan added, "By the way, the room diagonally across from your bedroom was prepared for your brother."

Jiang Silu looked up, her eyes lighting up. "My brother’s room?"

Lu Fan nodded. "Yes, I saved it for him. Would you like to go see it?"

Jiang Silu nodded eagerly. "Yes!"

Lu Fan stood up and led her upstairs.

The door was diagonally across from Jiang Silu’s bedroom. It was made of dark wood and looked more stately than hers.

Lu Fan pushed the door open and stepped aside to let her in.

Jiang Silu walked in and looked around.

The room clearly had a masculine style.

The main color scheme was deep blue and gray. On the wall hung a poster of a basketball star, professionally framed, making it look like an authentic signed piece.

Against the wall was a wide bed with deep blue bedding and perfectly squared pillows.

By the window was a desk, on which sat a lamp with a simple, clean design.

Next to the desk was an empty bookshelf, waiting for its owner to fill it.

In the corner was a basketball hoop—not a toy one, but a proper one you could actually shoot hoops with.

The floor was covered with athletic flooring, and a few basketballs sat nearby.

An entire wall was taken up by a row of closets with simple, elegant, dark gray doors.

Next to the closets was a display rack holding several pairs of limited-edition basketball shoes.

Jiang Silu walked to the window and pulled back the curtains. The view outside was expansive, showing the lawn and the mountains in the distance.

A small potted plant sat on the windowsill, adding a touch of life to the room.

"This room..." She turned back to look at Lu Fan. "Did you prepare this, too?"

Lu Fan nodded. "Yes. I figured you two siblings should each have a room. If he comes, he’ll have a place to stay."

Jiang Silu looked around again, then suddenly remembered something. She took out her phone and snapped several pictures of the room from various angles.

After she was done, she opened WhatsApp, found Jiang Sifan’s profile picture, and sent him the photos one by one.

Then she typed: "This is your room."

After sending it, she stared at the screen, waiting for a reply.

A few seconds later, three question marks popped up in the chat box.

"???"
