Chapter 486 -259: Yixia, Silu, and Sifan’s Family Moves into the Villa

“Mm-hmm.”

“Thank you for spending these last three days with me.” He Lingyi sniffled, and tears fell from her eyes. “These have been the three happiest days of my life.”

Watching her cry made Jiang Sifan’s heart ache. He reached out and wiped her tears away. “Don’t cry. Go back, study hard, and get a good score on your college entrance exams.”

“Okay.” He Lingyi nodded forcefully, but the tears kept streaming down her face.

She stepped forward, hugged Jiang Sifan, and buried her face in his chest. Her voice was muffled as she said, “Brother Sifan, will you miss me?”

Jiang Sifan froze for a moment before patting her on the back. “I will.”

He Lingyi looked up. With her red eyes and red nose, she looked like a little bunny.

She gazed at Jiang Sifan’s face for several seconds, then let go and took half a step back.

“I’m going now,” she said, wiping her tears and forcing a smile.

“Be careful. Text me when you get there.”

“Okay.” He Lingyi turned, took two steps, then looked back at him one more time and waved.

Jiang Sifan waved back.

He Lingyi turned around again and walked through the security checkpoint without looking back.

Jiang Sifan stood there for a long time, watching her figure disappear into the crowd.

He turned, left the airport, and hailed a taxi back to the city.

While he was sitting in the taxi, his phone vibrated.

It was a message from He Lingyi.

[Brother Sifan, I’m through security and waiting for my flight.]

[By the way, I got my math final exam score back. It’s an 87, my highest score in all three years of high school! Hehe.]

Jiang Sifan looked at the message and replied: [That’s great progress. Congratulations.]

He Lingyi replied instantly: [So, do I get a reward?]

Jiang Sifan: [What kind of reward do you want?]

He Lingyi: [Can you reply with the words, “Lingyi, you’re so beautiful”?]

Jiang Sifan stared at the message, stunned for a moment.

He typed a few words, looked them over, and sent the message: [Lingyi, you’re so beautiful.]

He Lingyi sent a blushing emoji, followed by another message: [Brother Sifan, I love you too.]

Jiang Sifan stared at the message, his finger hovering over the screen for a long time.

He didn’t know how to reply. He typed a few words, then deleted them. He typed a few more lines, and deleted those too.

Finally, he locked his screen, stuffed the phone in his pocket, leaned back against the seat, and closed his eyes.

His mind was a complete mess.

The words “I love you too” kept spinning in his head, and he couldn’t get them out.

The taxi stopped in front of the flower shop.

Jiang Sifan got out and pushed the door open.

Jiang Yixia was behind the counter doing the accounts. Jiang Silu was squatting on the floor arranging floral materials, and Wen Wan was next to her, handing her flowers.

“Brother, you’re back?” Jiang Silu looked up at him. “Where have you been the past two days? So mysterious.”

“I was visiting a classmate,” Jiang Sifan said, his voice a little unnatural.

“What classmate? A guy or a girl?” Jiang Silu pressed.

“A guy,” Jiang Sifan lied, his ears turning red.

Jiang Silu looked at his expression. She felt something was off, but she didn’t press him further.

“Class President, you don’t look so good. Did you not sleep well?” Wen Wan stood up and asked with concern.

“I’m fine. Just didn’t sleep well last night. I was up late playing games.” Jiang Sifan didn’t dare to meet Wen Wan’s eyes. He lowered his head and walked quickly into the bathroom.

He shut the door and stood in front of the sink, looking at his reflection in the mirror.

He had heavy, dark circles under his red eyes.

He turned on the faucet, cupped some cold water in his hands, and splashed it on his face again and again. Then he raised his head and looked at his reflection in the mirror.

He took a deep breath.

He pushed open the bathroom door and walked out.

In the living room, Lu Fan had arrived at some point and was sitting on the sofa, talking to Jiang Yixia.

“Yixia, I have something to tell you,” Lu Fan said with a smile. “This house you’re living in now, with Silu and Wen Wan next door… although it seems bigger than your old place, it’s still a bit cramped. I was thinking, why don’t you all move in with me?”

When Jiang Silu heard this, her eyes lit up instantly. She put down the flowers in her hands and ran over. “Dad, what did you say? We’re moving? To where?”

“The house your mom and I went to see yesterday,” Lu Fan replied to Jiang Silu, glancing at Jiang Yixia.

Jiang Yixia frowned and was about to speak, but Jiang Silu had already jumped up. “That villa? The one with the attic? Mom, didn’t you say you really liked it?”

“When did I ever say I liked it?” Jiang Yixia shot her daughter a look.

“When you came back yesterday, your ears were all red. How can you say you didn’t like it?” Jiang Silu said with a laugh.

Jiang Yixia’s face instantly turned red. She opened her mouth but couldn’t say a word.

Lu Fan chuckled as he watched Jiang Yixia’s reaction and continued, “I bought that house. It’s specifically for you all to live in. The house is big, with plenty of rooms, so each of you can have your own bedroom. There’s also a study and a garden. It’s just a bit far from the flower shop, but I’ll have Chen He drive you. It’s only a twenty-minute ride.”

“Specifically for us?” Jiang Silu shrieked, turning to Jiang Yixia. “Mom, did you hear that? Dad said it’s specifically for us!”

Jiang Yixia was stunned. She looked at Lu Fan, her lips trembling. “You… you said yesterday that you were buying that house… for us?”

Lu Fan nodded and said with a smile, “Of course. What would I do with such a big house all by myself?”

Jiang Yixia opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but swallowed her words.

She lowered her head, pretending to organize the account book.

Jiang Sifan came out of the bathroom just in time to hear this. He froze for a second, then walked over to Jiang Silu and asked in a low voice, “What? What did he buy specifically for us?”

Jiang Silu turned around, grabbed Jiang Sifan’s arm, and exclaimed excitedly, “Brother! Dad bought us a huge villa! We’re moving! Yay!”

Jiang Sifan looked at his sister’s excited face, then turned his head to look at Lu Fan.

Lu Fan was sitting on the sofa with his hands folded on his knees. He looked at Sifan with a calm gaze and a smile on his lips.

Jiang Sifan opened his mouth to say something, but his throat felt like it was blocked, and no sound came out.

He looked into Lu Fan’s eyes. There was no smugness or showing off in them, only a quiet sincerity.

“Brother, why aren’t you saying anything?” Jiang Silu shook his arm.

“It’s nothing,” Jiang Sifan said, his voice a bit hoarse as he averted his gaze. “I’m going to wash my face again.”

With that, he turned and went back into the bathroom once more.

‘I go away for two days, and when I come back, we’re not living in the old part of town anymore, but in a villa?!’

For a moment, Jiang Sifan didn’t know whether to be happy or sad.

But in any case, after spending these past few days with his father, Lu Fan, he slowly felt that he didn’t hate him as much anymore.

He couldn’t say he liked him, but at the very least, he no longer disliked him.

After all, as a father, he had indeed been trying to make it up to them.

Just then, Jiang Sifan remembered what Jiang Silu had asked: “So when are you going to forgive Dad?”

‘Maybe I should forgive Dad too…’

Jiang Sifan stared blankly at his reflection in the mirror.
