Claimed by the Mad Lycan King

Chapter 174: YOU ARE ADORABLE

"That’s right. There are a lot of things that we can explore with them. They have been living deep within our society without being detected. It is important to learn about their behavior and how they interact with one another. I am sure we will find more fascinating things."

The lab assistant lit up. She then told Owen more about the result of their experiment. "We found that they have unique brain waves whenever they are close to each other. Based on the myth, they will call it a ’mindlink,’ but we need scientific proof of that. We also need more of them alive so we can conduct further research."

Owen smiled and patted her on the shoulder. "Don’t worry, you will get more for your research."

If they managed to raze the beach house and got the Lycan, the research on him would be more fun. But of course, Owen wouldn’t hold his breath, since it wouldn’t be that easy to capture the Lycan alive; the thought that the attack would give Zade a panic put him in a good mood.

"Keep up the good work." He patted her on the shoulder again and then left, but this time he took a detour to the other part of the laboratory, where they held all of the werewolves that they had managed to capture alive.

In total, at least, there were twenty, but a dozen had died on the operating table to sate humans’ curiosity.

"We can’t kill them, remember that?" Alpha Sebastian reminded Jeremy after he finished explaining his plan.

"We can still cripple them," Seara added when she found Jeremy was having a hard time answering the question. She immediately regretted it because the focus was on her now.

However, Zade squeezed her waist lightly as he pulled her closer toward him, reminding her that he was there.

"I mean..." Seara cleared her throat, but she couldn’t make her voice louder than she intended to. "They don’t have healing ability. If they are down, they need to back down. A bite on their shoulder will not kill them, but it will take them down."

Seara was right about that, though, and they didn’t expect her to give such a gruesome idea.

Meanwhile, Zephyr, who was still leaning against the door, seemed to be familiar with Seara’s method. Did she apply the fighting game that they used to play in real life? That was the first thing that came to his mind when he heard what Seara said.

"It would be nice if we had weapons too." Alpha Edgar touched his chin.

"We do," Zade said.

"You do?" Ace was surprised; he didn’t expect Zade to have weapons in the beach house.

"Just a collection."

And what Zade meant by a collection was a room full of weapons; it was more like an armory instead, with hand grenades and RPGs.

"You are insane, Zade," Ace said when Zade brought them there, and the alphas looked elated; they were like little kids who got early Christmas presents. "How can you get all of these weapons? I don’t see it in your transaction."

"I have a lot of accounts that you don’t know," Zade admitted, leaving Ace speechless. He then turned around and looked at Seara, who seemed to take an interest in one of the guns. "You have done a great job. Your idea is excellent." Zade was not holding back when he praised her.

"Really?" Seara turned around, her hazel eyes lit up with delight upon hearing the praise.

"Yes." Zade took the gun that Seara had taken interest in and took her outside. "Come, I will teach you how."

Meanwhile, Jeremy was standing on the side, waiting for Zade to praise him too, but the king just walked past him, not even sparing him a single glance.

"But I was the one who almost got a heart attack when I explained the plan," Jeremy said in a pitiful tone. "Why didn’t Zade say anything to me?"

"There, there." Zephyr patted his back. "If Seara is by his side, your existence is no different from just a backdrop. Get used to it."

Seara was surprised when Zade grabbed her hand and took her into an empty room as he started to kiss her.

Her mind worked so slowly before she clumsily reciprocated; the intensity of the kiss made her slightly dizzy, and Zade wouldn’t let her go until she was out of breath.

"I thought... you were going to show me how to use it." Seara was breathing heavily.

Her body was pressed against the door behind her, and Zade, who towered in front of her, nibbled on her ear this time.

"I will show it to you when I am done with you..." Zade kissed her along her jaw and down to her neck. "Damn it, Seara. I want you," he said in a dark voice, and Seara didn’t know how to answer that.

"You can’t mark me now. It would be troublesome if I were in pain during the attack."

Zade laughed when he heard that. "You are adorable. I know that." He kissed her forehead. "When I mark you, I will do it right. I promise."

But little did he know that was a promise that he couldn’t keep...

Later on, they were busy with the preparation, and Zade took Seara to the cliff, where he taught her how to use the gun. It was a basic thing for her to remember, and he didn’t wish for her to use it because it meant she would be in danger.

But to his surprise, Seara was a quick learner; she got the hang of it after trying a few times. Her aim was not perfect, but it didn’t stray too far from the target.

"You are so smart." Zade kissed her. He couldn’t keep his hands off her, but Zephyr came to inform him that their man had spotted the humans.

"They are on the way here. Approximately an hour. No chopper. They still think we are clueless."
