Chapter 214: YOU ARE NOT MY BROTHER
Seara crawled with her chest close to the ground, and she could feel the broken glass cutting her arms and legs; it was suffocating her, and she had to breathe carefully, just in case she would be choked by the debris.
It was not as easy as she thought it would be.
"So, where is he?" Seara asked in a low voice. She couldn’t see Sybill, but she sensed her presence nearby. Even though she had asked the same question several times, she received no answer. "Sybill, don’t you dare leave me. Tell me where he is."
Every second was precious, not only because those warriors could have lost their strength and she would get buried here, but also because something bad could happen to the boy if he stayed here for so long. It had been three hours since the pack house was bombed and the building collapsed.
And a minute later, she heard her voice. "On your left; go to your left."
"Left?" Seara furrowed her brows, but she had no reason to doubt the voice in her head. She had been hearing and seeing Sybill again after she didn’t take the medicine.
But now, she didn’t mind it. It felt as if she had a secret friend who belonged only to her.
Seara started to crawl in the direction that Sybill told her. Her arm was cut when she accidentally grazed against a nail. It hurt so much, but it didn’t stop Seara from moving toward Elio.
At first, she saw his feet, and then his body. He was curled under what looked like a remaining table. He was still breathing, with the way his shoulders rose and fell, but he was unconscious.
Quickly, Seara checked on him. She looked for a fatal wound, but thankfully, there was nothing. The boy was not harmed.
Probably he passed out because of how scared he was or because he got a concussion.
"I got you." Seara pulled Elio’s body toward hers, dragging him after she made sure the ground was safe, and then tucked him in her left arm as she crawled back by using her right arm.
She couldn’t move freely, and holding Elio in one arm, she had a hard time moving forward. Not to mention, with the wreckage around them, it was easy to get hurt. Seara had suffered a few cuts at this point, and she couldn’t protect the child from getting some too.
But the main priority right now was to get out of there quickly. She didn’t know what was wrong with the boy, but he was still breathing, which was a good thing.
And after what felt like forever, Seara finally could get both of them out of there. Rune pulled his son first, of course, while Jared helped Seara get out of there.
"Are you alright?" Jared saw blood mostly covering her arms and legs from the jagged edges of the things down there.
The warriors around them sighed with relief when they saw both of them come out and knew that the boy was still alive.
Alpha Rune didn’t say anything as he took his son and rushed to the hospital to get him checked. Seara didn’t expect him to give a beautiful speech about how grateful he was to her, even though a simple "thank you" would do.
However, she wouldn’t dwell on that minor detail.
"We need to get you to the hospital too. You are bleeding." Kayden looked worried.
But then, it was Silas who grabbed Seara’s hand and took her toward the nearby car.
"Let her go," Jared said sternly as he physically stopped Silas. He looked intimidating, but Silas didn’t budge this time.
"I am going to take her to the hospital. Are you going to stop me from getting her help?" He glowered at the warrior. "I am her brother and the beta for the pack; you have no right to stop me."
"Stop it, Silas. I don’t want to go with you." Seara twisted her hand so she could get away from his grip and then walked toward Kayden and Jared. "You are not my brother."
Silas wanted to say something, but Seara had ushered Kayden and Jared away from there. Leigh followed them too; she threw a glance at Silas and frowned. She didn’t like that man, especially after she heard what Seara’s old pack had done to her.
She didn’t know it in detail, since all the information came vaguely from Royal Gamma Zephyr, but she could tell it was an unpleasant one.

Seara couldn’t help but check her phone again and again, but there was no text from Zade. He didn’t try to call her either, and when she tried to call him, the phone call went straight to the voice message.
From the clear icon she saw, it indicated that Zade had not yet read the message. This fact messed with her mind.
Seara was worried, and she couldn’t stop fidgeting as she stayed in the hospital corridor after she got intensive care from the doctor here for her cuts.
She felt bad for taking their time when there were a lot of people in need of their attention.
For a shifter, cuts like hers shouldn’t need a doctor to check, since they could heal on their own, but unfortunately, that was not the case for Seara.
"Still no words?" Lidya asked. She sat down next to Seara because the hospital was rather crowded.
Leia was also here with Lidya and Leigh; they helped with whatever they could since they were greatly understaffed.
It was understandable because most of the hospital staff were human, and they had fled the area when they were informed this place was surrounded by the shifters—what they referred to as "monsters."
The capital city and the Wvern city were the safest cities for them, as the government cleaned up the other city of the monsters.
"No. What happened to him?" Seara chewed on her bottom lip nervously.
