Chapter 208: Chapter 205: Lucky Star on High

’Could this girl be the distinguished guest Blake was waiting for?’

Chen Xing was preoccupied with this thought and didn’t pay any attention to what the girl was saying.

"Eastern pig..." The girl called out disdainfully at Chen Xing before heading to the elevator, surrounded by her bodyguards.

Chen Xing: "..."

Although the girl didn’t look like an adult, Chen Xing, being the petty type, still flicked a small stone at her.

It wasn’t a personal insult; it was aimed at tens of millions of Eastern women.

She had expected the stone to hit the girl’s back.

But unexpectedly, the stone seemed to be controlled by something. It didn’t fall, but simply stopped in mid-air behind the girl.

As the girl spun around in anger, the stone fell to the ground.

Chen Xing was a step ahead of her, having already slipped around a corner.

’This girl is no simple character. I’d better not provoke her until I have a better grasp of the situation.’

"Anyone who opposes the Booker family will meet a terrible end!" Cadar uttered like a curse, staring in the direction where Chen Xing had disappeared.

Of course, Chen Xing heard her.

At this moment, the zombies from the Beast Fighting Arena were already pouring out.

So Chen Xing and Carson headed down the stairs on the other side.

They had only gone down half a flight when they saw a door below open and a group of people rush out.

Behind them were several Lizard Monsters.

Chen Xing sent out a few streams of electricity, and the Lizard Monsters were knocked to the ground.

Carson wasn’t an idiot. He knew they weren’t completely dead and, without waiting for Chen Xing’s instructions, went up to dig out their Crystal Cores.

This delay gave the zombie horde behind them enough time to catch up.

Not wanting to waste time on the zombies, Chen Xing gave Carson a push. The two of them entered the doorway and locked the door behind them.

The zombies banged on the door a few times, but when they couldn’t see anyone, they headed down in the direction of the noise.

On Chen Xing’s side, just as they entered, they saw a slender figure standing in the middle of the hallway.

Her hands were like gliding serpents, twisting and turning smoothly.

Several columns of water, as if they had a life of their own, swirled above her.

Chen Xing remembered her. She was Blake Commander’s personal bodyguard, the stoic, mixed-race girl, Cheng Cheng.

Hearing a sound behind her, Cheng Cheng forcefully flung her hands out.

The water columns above scattered like bombs, exploding as they landed on several Lizard Monsters.

Once that was done, she turned around warily.

Seeing it was Chen Xing, her face remained expressionless. She silently turned and walked toward the elevators.

Chen Xing had no intention of following her into the elevator, nor did she plan to leave. Although there were quite a few Lizard Monsters in this building, it was far fewer than outside. For her, it wouldn’t be a problem; she could go out and kill the monsters just fine. But Carson might not be able to handle it. It wasn’t worth the risk of him getting hurt.

She was just a little curious why Cheng Cheng, who was usually inseparable from Blake, was all alone right now.

’Did Blake die?’

’Not likely!’

Chen Xing didn’t dwell on it and started looking for a room to hide in with Carson.

They opened a random door and found what looked like a conference room. It had a massive conference table and dozens of chairs. The chair at the head of the table had its back to the door, and its back was so high that they couldn’t see who was in it.

Carson quickly walked over and pulled at the black executive chair, causing it to spin around.

"Great Commander?" Carson jumped back several steps in shock. "He’s dead?"

They saw Blake with his eyes shut tight, his face a bluish-purple. It looked like he had been dead for some time.

A bad feeling washed over Chen Xing. She grabbed Carson and started to head out.

But it was too late.

At some point, a large group of Americans had gathered by the elevators, with more still emerging from them.

"You killed the Great Commander?" a man in the lead began to command. "Quick, seize the people who killed the Great Commander!"

"We didn’t kill him!" Carson was baffled. They had only just arrived.

But the other side didn’t give them a chance to explain, directly unleashing their superpowers.

’This isn’t an arrest, they’re trying to kill us!’

Chen Xing was a step faster. A current of electricity shot through the doorway, felling a row of Superpower Users.

"You dare to resist?" Seeing Chen Xing take down so many people in a single move, the man’s heart trembled. "Killing our Great Commander... is making an enemy of the entire United States!"

Chen Xing lifted her gaze, a rare smile appearing on her face. "Your useless Great Commander... what good would killing him do us?"

"You... you want to invade our territory!"

"Bullshit! What’s so great about your territory?"

"The facts are right in front of us! We saw you kill the Great Commander with our own eyes!"

"You’ve got to be kidding me."

"Why would we joke about the Great Commander?"

Chen Xing glanced back at the Great Commander’s body. "Are you sure this is Blake?"

Carson: "..."

’It should be him, right?’ Carson thought. He had only ever seen him on TV, after all. But it would be hard to misidentify the Great Commander.

The man who had spoken earlier furrowed his brow, clearly feeling insecure. "Of-of course..."

"Blake’s neck is a tiny bit longer than this person’s, and he has a small black mole on his ear." It was a complete fabrication.

The man was taken aback again. ’Is that right?’ he wondered. ’Who cares? I’m here today to execute this woman!’

His gaze turned cold, and he stopped looking for excuses. "Kill her!"

The Superpower Users, who were already prepared, launched their second attack.

But before they could even use their superpowers, a small dinosaur appeared out of nowhere and charged into them, knocking over a large swath of them.

The little dino-monster saw food, and so it was time to eat, eat, eat!

Its size ballooned from something small to much larger than an elephant, and it was now killing with its sheer bulk.

A wiggle of its rear end would cause several Superpower Users to kick the bucket.

In an instant, the American team was crushed, with almost no one left.

Chen Xing then led Carson out of the conference room. She had summoned her little dino-monster to the vicinity long ago.

Carson was so shocked his jaw dropped wide enough to fit a goose egg.

But why wasn’t such a huge monster attacking them?

’This isn’t very scientific, is it? But... this feels great!’

Just then, a bomb was thrown from behind the monster.

Just as it was about to land near Chen Xing, the little dino-monster blocked it with its body.

Carson: "..."

’The little dino-monster is...’

Several more bombs followed, all of them intercepted by the little dino-monster.

Before long, the little dino-monster shrank back to its original small, nimble form.

’Oh, thank you so much!’ Chen Xing thought sarcastically. She couldn’t have been more grateful to the person throwing the bombs.

The little dino-monster leaped, bit the last few enemies to death, and then, receiving its master’s command, went off to kill Lizard Monsters.

’Oh my... I’m so important. Master simply can’t live without me!’

Carson: "..." ’Forget it, forget it!’

’Maybe Chen Xing and I are just born under a lucky star,’ he thought. ’Why else would little wolf cubs and dino-monsters all be helping us?’

Chen Xing let him have his wild thoughts as she moved slowly, deliberately walking toward the room next to the conference room.

’Throwing bombs, are we?’

’You’ve seen what you should and shouldn’t have seen. Now it’s time to pay you back!’
