Chapter 731 - 719: I Want You to Marry Me (7)
Chapter 731: Chapter 719: I Want You to Marry Me (7)
Hearing his boss’s words, Howard Rhodes sighed softly in resignation before replying, "Yes, I understand."
Once in the car.
Archie Lockwood sat in the car, his expression somewhat dazed as he gazed at the scenery outside the window.
As he thought about everything that had happened since he met Eleanor Bishop again, a faint, bitter smile touched his lips.
’So many years have passed. In truth, all that so-called resentment disappeared long ago.’
’Now, the life he wanted was very simple: just to live quietly with his daughter.’
At the thought of Rory, the desolation in Archie Lockwood’s eyes gradually faded, replaced by a look of fondness and resignation. "Howard, head to a nearby mall!"
"Yes, sir."

Meanwhile, Yara Ross had already returned home, dragging her suitcase behind her.
However, what Yara Ross didn’t expect was that as soon as she walked through the door, she saw her husband and daughter had packed their things and were about to leave. Even the sofa in the living room was covered with a dust cloth.
She frowned, asking in surprise, "Where are you two going?"
Eleanor’s expression soured when she saw her mother had returned. Instead of answering, she glanced at her father.
Seeing that neither father nor daughter was responding, Yara Ross closed the door and asked with a smile, "Don’t tell me you two already know?"
"Know what?" This time, it was Harold Bishop who spoke up first, his voice deep.
"That we’re about to go abroad!" Yara Ross said, setting down her suitcase.
Hearing this, Eleanor Bishop asked in astonishment, "Go abroad?"
"That’s right, go abroad. The plane tickets are already booked. But aren’t you two a little too eager? We’re leaving tomorrow, not today."
Harold Bishop remained silent, his expression dark with anger.
Eleanor Bishop’s mind went blank. She couldn’t understand what her mother meant at all. "Mom, make yourself clear. Go abroad for what? Why are we going abroad?"
Yara Ross’s brow furrowed in confusion. "Huh? Eleanor, you don’t know?"
"Know what?" Eleanor felt her mother was acting very strangely. She had stormed out of the house just yesterday, furious. How could she be like a completely different person after just one night?
"Didn’t Mr. Lockwood tell you?" Yara Ross was in a good mood, so she was smiling the entire time she spoke.
Eleanor’s heart instantly dropped, and her face turned deathly pale. "Mr. Lockwood?"
"That’s right, Mr. Lockwood. The true son of the Lockwood Family who came back."
After getting Yara Ross’s confirmation, Eleanor strode over, grabbed her mother’s arm tightly, and demanded furiously, "Mom, did you go see Archie Lockwood?!?!"
The way Eleanor was grabbing her hurt Yara Ross’s arm. She scowled, saying resentfully, "What are you getting so worked up for? Why would I go looking for him? He was the one who sent someone to find me."
"What did he want with you? Mom, I’m warning you, don’t you dare get any ideas about him!" Now, Eleanor was even more shocked and unsettled.
"Eleanor Bishop, what nonsense are you spouting? Why would I get ideas about Mr. Lockwood? He was the one who sought me out and shoved money at me! Besides, if Mr. Lockwood hadn’t looked for me, I would have almost forgotten a person like him even existed."
Hearing Yara Ross’s words, Eleanor’s heart twisted into a tight knot. "Mom, what did you say? He gave you money? Tell me right now, what exactly did he want from you?!?!" She refused to believe that Archie Lockwood was the kind of person to give her mother money for no reason.
"It’s nothing, really. Mr. Lockwood just... gave us money to leave the country and never come back for the rest of our lives."
