Olivia told Flinx that she would spend the next day teaching the two new sales girls in handling customers, which, in her opinion, was easy enough. She planned to do it in just an hour or two, then she would spend the rest creating a lesson plan for the four children.

Olivia said that the lessons would include teaching the kids how to read and write. Once they were able to read and write, she would start teaching them numbers and arithmetic, and once they had learned the basics, she would divide the lessons into different parts, which would include Ilioven’s history and noble etiquette.

While Olivia would spend her time creating the lesson plan, Ambrose would look after the four children. They planned to spend the day roaming Ilioven, with one of the stone golems following them. The other two stone golems would remain at the shop as its guards.

Christopher's day would be spent applying to be an apprentice to a chef who used to be friends with their father. Olivia had already given him the funds to spend on his apprenticeship.

“Since it’s an apprenticeship and not a school, why does Christopher need to pay? Isn’t he supposed to be the one receiving allowance from the chef since he would be some sort of assistant to the chef?” Flinx asked.

“Normally, a truly talented apprentice would receive such things, but that was only after he signed a very strict contract that is basically almost like a slavery contract for the years that he would be spending learning from the professional, but since Christopher is going to pay a very expensive tuition, he would receive the training without the need to serve as a slave. After he was done learning, he could leave and start his own business,” Olivia answered.

“You said that you completed the 50^th floor of the Dungeon of Mara, that’s why you’re in a good mood. What its like?” David asked, after they stopped to rest a little from their playing.

Everyone stopped whatever they were doing to listen to Flinx. He then told them the details of the dungeon monsters he had encountered and how he fought the monsters. He told them of the powerful fire dragon that he needed to fight at the end of the floor.

“I wish I could see the fight,” Ambrose sighed.

“Well, I can record my delve and show them to you tomorrow night,” Flinx said.

“What do you mean by record?” Ambrose asked.

Flinx then showed everyone his Android Tablet. They had seen it before, but they hadn’t seen its recording function, so he demonstrated it to them. Everyone became excited about seeing Flinx’s fight against the powerful dungeon monsters on the last floor of the Dungeon of Mara. Flinx told them that he would only record one delve and that was it. Mainly, it was because each delve would mostly be the same. He also informed everyone that starting tomorrow, he would spend more time delving into the dungeon, since he planned to run the 50^th floor more than once daily. He told them that he might be spending 9 to 14 hours inside the dungeon, at least for the next few days.

“Why do you need to delve into the dungeon so much?” Olivia asked.

Flinx saw that everyone was curious about his reason for his need to keep delving into dungeons. He simply told them that his wizard class would only progress through battle with monsters.

“Why the need for haste?” Olivia asked.

Flinx then told them the story that he told the people of Beldor Town. He told them that he came from somewhere very far because of a teleportation accident, and that the only way for him to return home was to increase his power. He told them the only way for him to increase his power fast was through battling dungeon monsters.

“Does that mean that once you’ve reached your goal, you will leave Ilioven?” David asked.

The kid looked worried, and Arcios, Keero, and Violet had the same expression. Even Olivia and her two siblings were wearing the same expression.

Flinx wanted to be candid with everyone.

“Yes. But it would take me years to reach that point. That meant that you all have time to grow up and become powerful in your own right. Not only that, this place had grown on me. Once I’ve reached my power goal, I’ll become powerful enough to travel to and fro from my home to here in an instant, so you don’t need to worry about me leaving all of you anytime soon.”

Everyone looked relieved when Flinx told them that it would take years before he reached his goal. After that serious talk, the night was already deep, so they all went to their rooms to rest.

They left the tower early the next day. Flinx arrived at the Dungeon of Mara at 7 in the morning. He was one of the first to go there. After paying the 50 gold coins, he didn’t delay any longer and started his delve.

He cast his 5th-level spell Conjure Elementals, which was slotted in the 7th-level spell slot. He summoned two wind elementals and one earth elemental. After he bound the elementals using his 5th-level spell Planar Binding to increase their duration, he commanded one of the wind elementals to record his delve using his Android Tablet. That meant that he would have just two elementals that would assist him in fighting the dungeon monsters.

In truth, since he planned to rush the delve by casting as many spells as he could, he didn’t need the elementals too much. He was just comforted by their presence.

After that, he didn’t tarry any longer and rushed into killing all the dungeon monsters that he could find. After killing the earth dragon that was the final boss of the floor, he stored the single item that he had received from the treasure rest, along with all the mana stones that he had gathered, in his 4^th tab space, stored the Android tablet as well, and dispelled his summons. He completed the delve in six hours.

Flinx immediately left the floor and told the guild staff that he planned to delve into the 50^th floor again. He paid the 50 gold coins and didn’t wait any longer, and entered the floor. He summoned his elementals again and rushed into killing the dungeon monsters.

His expertise in running the 50^th floor of the Dungeon of Mara was increasing, and based on his calculations, after a few more delves, he would probably be able to complete the floor in 5 hours.

Flinx's strategy was extremely simple. He would cast as many spells as he could toward the dungeon monsters until all of them were destroyed. He still made sure to be cautious; he always cast all of his defensive spells before every battle.

There were a couple of instances in which he got mildly wounded because of bad luck, but Flinx healed himself immediately using his 1st-level Healing Elixir spell. After killing his second fire dragon and storing the two items that he had received from the treasure chest, his delving for the day had ended.

He checked the time and was happy to note that it was only seven in the evening. He completed two delves in exactly 12 hours. After a few more delves, Flinx knew that he could shave an hour or two from those 12 hours.
