Ch. 28 Provided that he truly possessed the combat power befitting a knight

Provided that he truly possessed the combat power befitting a knight, and was not just a role-playing enthusiast.

At the same time Felix saw the two, Mia naturally also saw him; in that instant, the girl only felt that she must have seen the Soldier in front of her somewhere before.

But she couldn’t recall where.

Of course, he hadn’t seen it in reality; the sense of déjà vu was like seeing a coser at a convention whose costume was familiar and accurate, but whose character name he just couldn’t recall.

“Come quickly, we need you!” Felix shouted to the two.

As the words left his mouth, a wave of guilt engulfed Felix, for the mage before him looked clearly like nothing more than a child; he had dragged a young girl into the battlefield.

But there was no other way now.

While he couldn’t allow the weak who should be protected to be embroiled in war, he could ignore even less the role a magic user could play.

Fortunately, Mia’s subsequent performance provided Felix with some comfort; Felix saw several Skaven crawling out of the alley.

Mia, having long been prepared for pursuers, immediately released a wall of fire toward the depths of the alley, and then Wilden quickly used his dual swords to finish off the Skaven whose retreat was blocked by the wall of fire.

Felix saw a decisive spellcaster and an outstanding warrior.

And, those insidious creatures that might dash out from inside the alley.

“Watch the alley!” Mia warned loudly.

Mia and Wilden joined the melee decisively; they easily found the front line of the battlefield.

Mia saw a shirtless dwarf with a towering mohawk standing on a pile of corpses, as wave after wave of Skaven charged toward him.

Gotrek swung his axe, carving out almost a buffer zone made of severed Skaven limbs.

Wilden sought the best battlefield.

He rushed into the chaotic zone where mercenaries and Skaven were fighting.

The mercenaries only saw a huge dark shadow appear before them, a flash of cold light, and then the Skaven they were staring at lost its head.

Mia released flames of various shapes toward the Skaven swarm.

But when she discovered that the flames she released would not cause her any harm, she completely unleashed herself.

Flames like ocean waves and flames like whirlpools continuously formed in her hands; her control over fire became increasingly skillful.

Then, continuous tongues of fire spewed from her hands; Mia was like a human-shaped self-propelled flamethrower.

Wherever her palms turned, the fire would burn.

This move was a Prayer that players also needed to learn in the game.

But now, Mia had mastered it without a teacher.

And to the locals watching this scene, the addition of a fire mage and a valiant knight caused the morale of the fighting mercenaries and citizens to soar.

Now, they seemed to see victory in sight.

Mia took a moment to drink a sip of blue dew; there was still more than half the liquid in the bottle.

It wasn’t that she was being frugal, but that she had poured all the dew from the red flask of sacred tears into the blue bottle.

Mia was not lacking in restorative spells at all, but she needed a lot of blue dew to maintain the fight.

Even if her stamina could recover over time, that amount of recovery could not support her in fighting a high-intensity battle.

At the same time, she was also looking for ways to reduce stamina consumption.

As she continuously released various types of fire Prayers, she kept trying to achieve the same effect with faster and less consuming release methods.

Felix watched from afar the petite figure wielding fire.

It wasn’t that he hadn’t seen the combat scenes of the Empire’s fire mages, but the appearance of that young girl was far from what he had in mind.

The fire mages Felix had seen wore fiery red robes, kept exaggerated hairstyles or beards, and were hot-tempered combat experts, just like the fire magic they used — unstable yet extremely destructive.

Unlike that young girl and the fire she wielded, which were agile.

‘Where did she come from?’ Felix couldn’t help but feel such curiosity.

Countless Skaven were roaring, charging from all directions; Felix carefully moved toward Gotrek’s direction.

His gaze suddenly crossed the layers of the Skaven army; in that direction, Felix saw a large group of monsters walking over unsteadily.

That was at least a dozen Rat Ogres!

Felix pursed his lips; he believed that others must have seen it too, especially Gotrek standing on the pile of corpses, and that big Bretonia knight who had descended like a god-sent soldier not long ago.

Gotrek jumped off the high ground piled with dirty flesh, smashing into the dense crowd of Skaven like a meteorite.

His large axe hacked left and right, plowing a gap in the Skaven swarm that couldn’t be closed in a short time, and he charged toward those Rat Ogres, howling.

Felix hesitated for a moment, but chose to follow Gotrek’s pace.

He held his longsword high, shouting while running: “Guys!

Follow me!

Let’s go kill those damn Skaven!” The mercenaries heard his call and followed Felix’s footsteps in a disorderly fashion, charging toward the Skaven army.

Mia pursed her lips; she had fallen to the back of the crowd.

She was hesitating whether to perform another Erdtree Prayer.

If the Prayer released earlier to save those civilians, and also for her to be able to get to the Palace District, was a last resort.

Then perhaps there was no need for it now.
