The mercenaries rushed into the palace and found the lord of Nuln in the banquet hall, as well as the culprit behind this Skaven invasion: Grey Seer Thanquol.

Thanquol wanted to force the entire city to surrender by holding the city lord hostage, but fortunately, the city lord, Countess Emmanuelle, still possessed the backbone of a noble and did not yield under the threats of the Skaven.

Just as Thanquol’s dark energy was about to engulf the Countess, reinforcements finally arrived.

“It’s rat-killing time!” Gotrek let out a roar like grinding boulders and charged first at the horned rat-man.

Thanquol also saw the two of them; it was not the first time he had seen these two guys.

Every time, every single time, just when his plans were about to succeed, they were ruined!

Thanquol shrieked in anger and fear, gathering green lightning in his hands.

The lightning crackled and popped, scorching the air as it flew toward Felix and Gotrek.

Felix suddenly realized that the priest and the knight had disappeared from his field of vision.

Especially the priest.

Mia was gone!

Felix had witnessed the defensive power of that golden light against Skaven magic earlier; Mia had protected the mercenaries as they charged through poisonous mist released by a Skaven warlock, which was why Felix dared to charge so far ahead.

Healing wounds, bestowing strength, blocking magic…

Felix had never seen such powerful magic.

There might be more powerful magic in this world, but as of now, Felix had not seen any magic more powerful than that cast by Mia.

After witnessing those incredible grace, he subconsciously held the thought that ‘there is nothing that girl cannot do.’ And now, facing the magic of a Skaven warlock again, he subconsciously wanted to seek Mia’s help.

And then, no sign of her.

When Thanquol’s lightning struck toward Felix, his mind went blank, and he was just about to close his eyes and wait for death.

Then, the lightning was blocked by the golden protection.

The effect of the Prayer was still active.

“Is that all you’ve got?” Gotrek roared, charging forward.

Watching the two enemies charging toward him, Thanquol shrank in terror into his Stormvermin: “Quick, kill them!

Charge, brave Stormvermin!

Go win the victory!” He shouted, then turned his tail and ran backward with all his might.

“Follow me!” Mia and Wilden were running through the empty corridor, with traces of blood of unknown origin on the ground.

High on both sides of the corridor, portraits of human gods were smiling benevolently.

It was getting closer, and the guidance of grace was becoming more and more precise, from originally only having a general direction to now being able to lead them smoothly through the labyrinth-like palace corridors.

They turned another corner and suddenly ran into a shadow head-on.

After a moment of stunned silence, Mia realized that it was a Skaven, a horned Skaven holding a staff.

Thanquol also reacted, but the distance was too close; he didn’t have time to cast any spells and could only swing his staff to strike.

Mia parried the Grey Seer’s strike.

“Despicable human!” Thanquol cursed.

Mia only knew that the guy in front of her was a Skaven, and she swung her sword without hesitation.

Thanquol nimbly ducked, the golden sword slicing off one of the horns on his head, and the Grey Seer let out a sharp squeal of pain.

Pop, a burst of black smoke erupted around him, enveloping the two people in front and himself within it.

A Grey Seer who had climbed up step by step from the bottom of the cruel Skaven society could not possibly lack self-preservation methods; although the smoke was not toxic, it was certainly enough to obscure vision.

Mia coughed twice, worried that the Skaven might ambush them from the black mist, so she gripped her holy seal tightly, and a whip of fire swept across, splitting the black mist into upper and lower halves.

A wail came from the mist, and Wilden’s greatsword immediately slashed toward that direction.

There was no more sound from there, and when the mist dissipated, only a burning grey robe and half a rat tail were left on the ground.

“Let him get away…” Although this was just a small interlude, Mia, who had been covered in dust by the smoke bomb, was in a bad mood.

“Where do we go next?” Wilden reminded Mia while vigilantly observing the surroundings.

“That way!” Mia pointed in a direction; the return was close at hand, and she immediately put this small interlude behind her.

The two turned two more corners.

A faded door appeared before them.

Mia went up and grasped the door handle, pulling forward, but found that the door did not budge.

Wilden pressed his hand on Mia’s shoulder and said: “Let me.” Subsequently, the Soldier strode forward, Mia made way, and Wilden kicked the door open with a bang.

The old wooden door was almost crumbling; its hinges endured rough treatment that it shouldn’t have at its age, and dust that had accumulated for who knows how many years was blown up by the wind created when the door opened.

The room was empty, with only a golden grace floating in the air.

Wilden was taken aback.

“What is that?” He asked.

He looked at the golden light, feeling the sense of peace contained within it, much like amniotic fluid.

“You can see it?” Mia opened her eyes slightly wide in surprise.

She thought that only she could see the guidance of grace.

But she didn’t expect…

No, Mia shook her head in her heart.

Before coming to this world, Wilden could not see the grace in The Lands Between either.

This was something she had confirmed many times.

Wilden could also see the grace; was it related to traveling between worlds?

She looked at the grace again.

Regardless, she had to go back first; she didn’t want to stay in this world for too long.

Then, the new question was, how to go back?

Wait a minute, how did she travel to this world?

Mia recalled.

Probably, by thinking about things related to rats?

And then, she traveled here and met the Skaven.

…If that was the case, that would be too ridiculous.

How could there be such a wish-fulfillment travel?

Mia’s mouth twitched; she was not very willing to believe such a sloppy setting.

But…

it seemed there really wasn’t any other clue for traveling between worlds.

She sighed.

“Wilden, come to my side.

I’ll try to see if I can go back.” The Soldier stepped forward.

He had been staring at that grace, as if it were the most beautiful light in the world.

Mia closed her eyes.

‘Send me back to The Lands Between.’ She silently recited in her heart.

Until she felt a familiar sense of weightlessness.

Mia still resisted the urge to open her eyes, keeping them tightly closed.

If she wanted to open her eyes, probably nothing would happen, and she wouldn’t be sent back.

But what did that matter?

She simply wanted to close her eyes.

She felt the darkness before her.

Then, beside the grace in that ruined house in the desolate village, a pile of golden light particles suddenly condensed into two human shapes in the air.

Thud.

“Ugh—” Mia landed solidly on the stone floor that was still emitting a burnt smell.

It was as messy as if she had been in free fall for twenty minutes.

Dizzily, she lifted her head and took in the surrounding environment.

Without a doubt, they were back.

Grimacing, she lifted her head and found that Wilden had also fallen to the ground just like her, but Wilden’s condition was much better.

Not as badly fallen as she was.

“We are back.” Rubbing her knees, Mia stood up and said.

Kalé had not returned yet.

This trip to warhammer fantasy, in the end, had only taken an hour or two.

Wilden stood at the doorway and looked out; he finally saw that huge and brilliant Erdtree again.

It had only been two hours, but his longing for the Erdtree was even stronger than when he had been trapped in the cave for countless years.

…And it wasn’t entirely feelings for the Erdtree.

It might not seem tempting right now but who knows what the future holds?

“And If you’re enjoying it, drop a Power Stone for me!”
