Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife
Chapter 1617: Indifference
Daniel Harris spoke like this to make Old Master Landon more convinced of the authenticity of his words, and not because he was seeking the Landon Family’s wealth. After all, when it comes to wealth, the Kinston Family is far richer than the Landon Family.
Sure enough, upon hearing this, Old Master Landon’s pupils contracted, and some of the suspicion in his eyes dissipated.
Kyle Kinston, he had naturally heard of this name. His own granddaughter… is Kyle Kinston’s wife? Suddenly, an overwhelming amount of information hit the old man.
“However, my friend is currently pregnant. If possible, I hope we can first secretly have them both undergo a DNA test. If it turns out positive, everyone should be happy. If not, there’s no need to tell her to prevent her from experiencing extreme emotional fluctuations,” Daniel Harris continued.
“That’s naturally not a problem,” Old Master Landon replied. “However, I still hope Mr. Harris can tell me more about Miss Mabel Quinn.” At this point, Old Master Landon was eager to know about Mabel Quinn, as she very likely might be his direct granddaughter.
That would be the person truly related to him by blood!
Old Master Landon called a servant to bring tea, and Daniel Harris sat down openly, drinking tea with the Old Master while sharing some of Mabel Quinn’s current situation. They also arranged that Daniel would first try to get Mabel Quinn’s hair and then give it to Old Master Landon for a DNA comparison.
The two chatted for a while longer when suddenly someone knocked on the study door, revealing Grace Yowell.
Old Master Landon frowned slightly. Knowing that the badge Grace Yowell had once been mistaken for by his daughter wasn’t picked up as she claimed but was stolen, his heart grew even more disgusted.
This meant that from the beginning, this woman knew who the real child of the Landon Family was, yet she continued to conceal it for her own glory and wealth—truly greedy and callous.
“What are you here for?” Old Master Landon asked. Although he felt disgusted, he didn’t intend to immediately fall out with Grace Yowell.
“I heard Mr. Harris was here, so I wanted to come see. After all, Mr. Harris is somewhat of an old acquaintance,” Grace Yowell smiled, seemingly unaffected by Old Master Landon’s demeanor.
Daniel Harris stood up and said to Old Master Landon, “Well then, Old Master, I shall take my leave. I’ll get in touch another day.”
“Good, good!” Old Master Landon stood up, intending to see Daniel Harris out the door, but Grace Yowell quickly interjected, “Your health isn’t well; let me see Mr. Harris out.”
Daniel Harris cast a nonchalant glance at Grace Yowell, walked out of the study, and Grace Yowell hurried to follow.
Walking alongside him, Grace Yowell said, “Daniel, it’s been years since we last met. Although I initially deceived you back then, afterward I ended up in that predicament. Don’t you feel even a bit of pity for me?”
“Why should I pity you?” Daniel Harris replied indifferently, “You ended up like that solely because you brought it upon yourself.”
Grace Yowell’s face turned pale, her eyes complexly looking at the person in front of her, “You and Mabel Quinn are impossible now, Daniel; if… back then Mabel Quinn hadn’t appeared, maybe now you and I would have already…”
