"And you, old man, I’ve long found you unpleasant to look at. Take a look at those Landon family relatives, how many of them are sincerely good to you? Aren’t they just cozying up to you because of money? Your wife is dead, your son is dead, and your only daughter is an idiot—how much of a failure have you been in this life? Why don’t you just die?" Grace Yowell deliberately provoked Old Man Landon with her words. As she continued to speak venomously, his face turned crimson, his body trembled, and with a quivering hand, he took out a bottle of medicine from his pocket, preparing to open it and take the pills.

But Grace Yowell rushed forward in a single step and snatched the pill bottle away.

"Give me my medicine!" Old Man Landon shouted, his hands struggling to prop himself up on the desk, nearly unable to support his own weight.

Just an old man with one foot in the grave; even if her words wouldn’t trigger his heart attack, she had plans to deal with him differently. Now, he’s saving her the effort.

Seeing Old Man Landon collapse heavily to the ground, Grace finally stood up satisfied, walked to his side, looking down at the fallen old man, "Had you not treated me like an outsider all these years, you wouldn’t have ended up like this. You only have yourself to blame for your stubbornness!"

So everything was Old Man Landon’s fault; she had done nothing wrong! She was forced into this!

When she left prison years ago, she vowed that whatever she could seize, she would seize it. If ever there was a chance to rise to the top, she wouldn’t miss any opportunity.
