Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife
Chapter 1630 - 1672: Doubts of the Heart
"Even if you cry, it’s no big deal," Kyle Kinston said, glancing once more at the coffin. After all, the elderly person inside the coffin might very well be her biological grandfather!
But he hadn’t told her this yet.
It was only last night, when Caleb sent the information related to the Landon Family to his email, that he discovered Lady Landon’s name was Giselle Landon, and the photo of Lady Landon startled him. Because he had once seen a photo of Mabel Quinn’s mother when she was young. The 50-something Lady Landon in the photo bore a resemblance to "Clover" from Mabel’s photo.
Thus, Kyle immediately thought that Lady Landon might very well be Mabel’s mother. Thinking this way, and then recalling how Daniel Harris went to the Landon Family before the incident, and how he asked Mabel over the phone about the badge, even muttering the word "badge" continuously when he was comatose from the car accident... Everything seemed to gradually have an answer.
Daniel went to the Landon Family, probably to investigate whether Mabel had any connection with them.
And the badge... Years ago, Grace Yowell stole Mabel’s badge. That badge was destroyed in an explosion, but what if... the one destroyed in the explosion was another similar badge? What if Mabel’s badge was still intact?
Could this be the key reason why Grace Yowell was mistaken as the daughter by Lady Landon? After all, Kyle didn’t believe in destiny at first sight; Lady Landon noticed Grace, who had just been released from prison not long ago, liked her, and determined her to be her daughter.
At that time, Grace was not only down and out but had also suffered facial disfigurement. Anyone who saw her would likely keep their distance.
Now, even though the DNA test between Lady Landon and Mabel has not been done, he hasn’t told Mabel that Lady Landon is likely her mother. Mabel is pregnant now, and her emotions should not fluctuate too much. Kyle suspects that Daniel only asked about the badge because he planned to confirm other things later, probably considering these circumstances.
However, Kyle still believes that most of the evidence suggests Lady Landon is Mabel’s mother, which is why he brought her over today to bid farewell to the Landon elder. He doesn’t want her to regret it in the future, if this fact is indeed confirmed, for missing her biological grandfather’s last journey.
And now, seeing Mabel Quinn’s tears, Kyle sighed in his heart. Perhaps this is the familial bond of blood ties. Even though Mabel doesn’t know she might be a child of the Landon Family, or that the elderly man lying in the coffin might be her biological grandfather, the blood ties make her tears fall uncontrollably.
The coffin of the Landon elder was carried by several people towards the crematorium at the funeral home, with Kyle holding Mabel Quinn’s hand as they followed the procession, bidding farewell to the elder.
Lady Landon almost fainted from crying several times, and Mr. May stayed by her side continuously, wiping away her tears.
Kyle Kinston’s gaze crossed the crowd, looking towards Mr. May. And... what kind of role is Theodora May playing in all this?
————
At the end of the funeral, Mr. May accompanied Lady Landon back to the Landon Family home first, with Grace Yowell naturally following closely.
