Fairy Tail: I Don't Want to Be the President
Chapter 1106 440: Mirajane·Wolf_2
"Theoretically, machines should be afraid of the thunder attribute, right?"
Vahl smiled and replied, "Generally, that's the case, but as one of the Twelve Shields, I have long overcome this weakness.
"Therefore, not only am I not afraid of lightning, but I can absorb it and convert it into the energy I need. The more I absorb, the stronger I become!"
Carla pondered for two seconds and asked, "So, why didn't you absorb the breath of that Hex-Tech Sub-Dragon just now?"
Vahl fell silent, choosing to ignore the talking but not-so-articulate little cat, and pointed at Laxus, saying:
"In any case, encountering me is your bad luck. The more I absorb the lightning, the stronger I become! You absolutely cannot defeat me!"
Carla bared her teeth, "Don't ignore me!"
Laxus turned his head to Carla and said, "I feel like the way you speak is a bit like Lucy, you two have a good relationship, right?"
"No way!" Carla snapped, am I really that much like an idiot?
"What an impolite brat." Vahl's eyes locked onto Laxus, swiftly analyzing his weaknesses,
"Virtually flawless... truly a powerful mage. But you still have no chance of winning, Weakness Specialization Soldier, generate!"
A row of five metal mechanical soldiers appeared out of thin air, each with a metal backpack with nozzles strapped to their back.
"Five mechanical soldiers appeared all at once." Carla speculated, "Is it summoning magic like Rhode's?"
Just as she finished speaking, flames spouted from the backpacks of the mechanical soldiers, propelling the five into the air.
"They can fly, be careful!"
"Don't worry." Laxus didn't use powerful magic, he simply threw a few clean punches, sending the mechanical soldiers flailing back to the ship, smashing the deck.
The mechanical soldiers staggered as they clambered to get up.
Vahl glanced over, noting that although the lightning on Laxus's fists had been absorbed, the mechanical soldiers had still been forcibly dented.
"Truly powerful, if it weren't for the specially used lightning-resistant metal, they'd likely have been destroyed in one blow."
Vahl waved his hand, generating another five soldiers beside him, and proudly introduced:
"My magic can produce soldiers with targeted different attributes. This time, I'll further enhance their defensive capabilities—you have no options left!"
Carla was genuinely affected by these words, suggesting, "Wouldn't it be better to let Gajeel handle him?"
Laxus directly refused, "No, if what he said is true, Gajeel would just encounter a type he's not good at dealing with too."
Carla was a bit stumped, "Then, what should we do?"
"It's simple." Laxus summoned golden arcs of electricity in his palm, converging into a golden torrent, striking Vahl in an instant.
The magic exploded with a roar, engulfing Vahl, the ten mechanical soldiers, and the ship beneath their feet.
Lightning continued to spread, as if lighting up a golden sun in the night sky.
The surrounding three large ships were only caught in the blast, yet half of each was shattered.
Countless people screamed as they fell, accompanied by the wreckage of the ships and many charred figures.
Laxus looked down at the center of the lightning:
"Now, absorb it for me, mechanical man."
...
As Vahl confronted Laxus, Agir had already leapt to the airship closest to Natsu.
In front of him, the Sand Tornado rolled endlessly, with the voices of Natsu and Hapi coming from inside.
"Hapi, don't fly around randomly!"
"I don't want to fly around, but... I got sand in my eyes!"
"Damn it, I'll blow away this annoying sand right away! Fire Dragon's—Wing Strike!"
Red flames tumbled along with the sand tornado, nearly turning it into a fire tornado.
The sand briefly scattered, but soon gathered again, still trapping Natsu inside.
Agir, who had been somewhat frustrated since earlier, finally felt a bit relieved:
"It's useless, my sand is endless, and your little flame definitely can't burn it all!"
"Then, let me show you what real flames are!" Natsu shouted, "Hapi, put me down and fly up high yourself!"
"Aye!"
Hapi obediently released his grip, closing his eyes as he flew straight upward.
Natsu didn't fall immediately; instead, he burst into roaring flames, encasing himself in a massive fireball.
The fireball's temperature far exceeded the flames from earlier.
All the sand near him was baked red by the high temperature in a short time, melted into liquid, and directly vaporized.
"You must be joking, with such temperature..."
Sweat beaded on Agir's forehead as he unconsciously raised his hand to shield his face.
The soldiers behind him only felt their armor heating up and the weapons in their hands turning red.
"So hot!"
"I feel like I'm going to melt!"
"At this rate, the ship will catch fire too!"
They clumsily dropped their weapons and retreated over ten meters.
"Haaaah!!!"
The fireball exploded with Natsu's roar, evaporating the ferocious sand tornado entirely.
Natsu, like a deity of fire, somersaulted in mid-air, landing precisely in a half-crouch on the deck.
"Heh..." He supported himself with one hand, flashing a charismatic smile at Agir.
Agir tugged at a wry smile, "Hm, quite something, little... huh?"
He only got halfway through because Natsu, after just one second of looking cool, covered his mouth and collapsed onto the deck.
In the high sky, Hapi pressed his cheeks with his hands, looking panic-stricken:
"Oh no! Rhode said not to let them onto the ship! I forgot!"
Agir felt a surge of exasperation, "You... are you here for comic relief?"
...
"Get ready, Kana from the back to the front, and Erza from the front to the back!"
"Got it!" ×2
Beneath the fleet, Mira grabbed Erza and Kana by the hand respectively, spinning her body and throwing them one after the other, like throwing a hammer.
"Requip: Black Wing Armor!"
Midway, Erza quickly changed her outfit, slashing with her blade, slicing a massive cruiser in half.
"Shatter!"
Kana spread out her hand, and the hull of the ship furthest in the fleet shattered into numerous neatly cut cubes.
She dove into the cabin, punched through the ship's power core, and flung a handful of cards to blow away the soldiers blocking her path.
Then, copying her dad's style, she phased through walls layer by layer, jumping onto other ships before the airship fell, and continued her destruction.
As for Mira, she spread her wings and flew above the fleet.
"Take Over: Mirajane·Wolf!"
Mira's white hair transformed into short light-yellow hair, with a pair of beast ears standing on her head, and a fluffy light-yellow tail growing from behind her.
Her arms up to her elbows were covered in brown spots, and her clothes transformed into a form-fitting leopard print outfit.
Her smooth shoulders and abdomen were exposed, appearing particularly fair.
This form came from one of the nine officers of the Gate of the Underworld, the Jackal Wolf Jia Ka'Er.
Like a cat, Mira nimbly landed on the cruiser, with all four limbs on the ground.
When soldiers surrounded her, she didn't attack at all, relying on her agile steps to weave through the crowd, jumping directly to the next ship.
After passing through seven or eight ships, Mira leapt to the top of the mast, and watched the soldiers below preparing to attack her, smiling as she snapped her fingers:
"Watch your step now~~Explosive Curse Magic, boom!"
Boom boom boom...
Seven or eight massive cruisers, including the one beneath her feet, all exploded.
They weren't blasted apart; the cruisers themselves turned into big bombs, instantly detonated by the curse magic.
The firelight illuminated the sky, and the scorching shockwave radiated everywhere, impacting another dozen nearby ships.
Among them was the one Natsu had been on.
At this moment, Agir was gathering a spear of yellow sand, ready to deal a decisive blow to Natsu.
However, the side of this ship was destroyed by the shockwave, flipping the entire ship sideways, tossing Natsu into the air.
Hapi flew like a streak of blue light to catch Natsu.
Meanwhile, a bolt of golden lightning struck down from the sky, straight at Agir.
—It was Carla, who had foreseen Natsu's predicament through her divination magic, alerting Laxus to initiate assistance.
