Falling For My Alpha Stepsister (GL)
Chapter 185 - 3 Months Later
The living room was no longer filled with only their dating memories. The walls now had their wedding portraits, pictures of them with their family, and even the beautiful moments they had captured during their honeymoon.
Their memories seemed to be everywhere.
On the couch, April sat comfortably while Angel sat on the floor between her wife’s legs, happily busy cutting April’s nails before carefully painting them.
April was now seven months pregnant, and her baby bump had grown much bigger than it had been three months ago.
Her stomach rested prominently in front of her as she relaxed on the couch, watching her wife take her time with her nails.
"Bebe, your toenails look so amazing that I want to eat them. Can I?" Angel asked, looking at her four-eyed wife. She was glad April had returned to wearing her glasses.
"I bet you my heart you can’t eat one," April said.
"Are you sure? If I can bite you, I can eat your toe. And you can’t bet your heart. It’s already mine."
"Hahaha... stop saying fetish things. Come on, we have work to do."
"Fine, I will finish it up. Still suggesting you stay home and rest. Turning the bookstore into a cafe is a lot of workload," Angel said.
It had been months since Katie and April had turned their bookstore into a cafe shop, and it had been going really well. Customers had been coming in and out, not only for the books but also for the refreshments and pastries.
The online bookstore was doing well too. Selling ebooks online was something April and Katie had never believed would work this well, and now they had so many online customers from different parts of the world.
April placed her hands on her belly and smiled at her Alpha.
"I know you care about me, Papi, but it is not a lot of workload. Katie and I have employees, and we only go in to check in and supervise. Nothing much. Being a boss is so amazing and stress-free."
"I still want you to rest. You are seven months now, and you look heavy and beautiful. I am just worried about you both... you and my little Angel inside."
"Don’t worry, I will be careful..."
Angel was done with her wife’s nails, so she moved on to massaging her legs and arms. She gently worked her way through them before moving up to April’s shoulders, just as she had been doing every day.
She had become very careful with April since her pregnancy had started getting further along. Even when April insisted that she could handle things herself, Angel still found small ways to help her without making a big deal out of it.
After the massage, they did some yoga together. Angel stayed close throughout the session, making sure April did not push herself too much. The gentle movements helped April stretch her muscles and made her feel more comfortable.
When they finished, Angel placed her hand on April’s belly. Then she lowered herself and rested her ear against her wife’s tummy, patiently waiting for a kick.
Hearing the baby kick was something Angel really loved, and April sometimes teased her about how patiently she would wait for it. Angel could stay there for several minutes without getting bored, as if she was already having a conversation with the baby before she was even born.
After that, they went to take a bath together and got dressed for the day.
Angel wore her usual cowgirl attire, while April dressed in a stylish, loose gown that gave her growing belly plenty of room.
They then prepared breakfast together. Today, they made loaded cheesy tacos with orange juice. The smell of warm tortillas and melted cheese quickly filled the kitchen. Angel handled most of the cooking while April helped with the easier parts, occasionally stopping to rest whenever her body reminded her that she was carrying a growing baby.
While they ate, Angel could not help remembering what had happened two months earlier when she had suddenly started craving the same things her pregnant wife craved. She was not pregnant, but April’s marking had really done a number on her.
Angel had gone from becoming unusually clingy to developing cravings and even feeling nauseous, all because of the strange effects of being marked by a pregnant Omega.
April already knew what she was doing. She had read about it in a book and decided to test it on her wife.
And it worked.
Angel still could not believe how badly the marking had affected her. For a while, she had been acting like she was the one carrying the baby, following April around and suddenly wanting whatever food April wanted.
After breakfast, April and Angel spent about 30 minutes meditating together, just as their doctor had recommended.
They sat quietly together, allowing the house to become peaceful around them. Angel occasionally opened her eyes to check on April, but her wife seemed completely relaxed.
When they finished, Angel drove her wife to the cafe. The trip did not take too long, and April spent most of it looking out the window while Angel drove. By now, Angel had gotten used to checking the time and planning her day around April’s schedule.
As she watched April get ready to start her day, Angel could not help feeling proud of everything her wife had achieved.
April was really hardworking whenever she set her mind on achieving something.
The cafe had become more than just an extension of their bookstore. It had become a place where people could sit, read, eat, and enjoy themselves. April had always loved books, and now she had created a place where other people could enjoy them too.
After dropping April off, Angel drove to the ranch to check on her cat family. As usual, they were happy to see her. The moment she arrived, the familiar sounds around the ranch made her feel at home. She checked on the animals and spent some time making sure everything was in order.
Dante had already finished the morning work, which meant Angel’s workload had been reduced. She spent the rest of her time simply roaming around the ranch, watching the horses and pigs. There was something peaceful about having nothing urgent to do. Angel walked around without rushing, occasionally stopping to watch the animals before continuing on her way.
By mid-afternoon, Angel drove to the market to buy groceries for dinner.
She moved through the market with a small list in her hand, picking up the things she needed before checking everything again to make sure she had not forgotten anything.
After that, she stopped by the twins’ fruit shop to buy some fruits. Angel did not have to pay.
She had free, unlimited coupons from Sabrina, which she had happily gotten by blackmailing Sabrina with the threat of exposing her naughty secret poems to her twin brother, Carlos. Even Carlos was surprised that his sister had suddenly become so nice to Angel. He knew Sabrina had always teased Angel, so seeing her act so calm around her was something he had not expected.
Angel found the whole situation amusing. She had no idea how long Sabrina would continue behaving so nicely, but as long as those coupons remained valid, she was more than happy to enjoy them.
After finishing her shopping, Angel went home to prepare dinner before April returned.
Sometimes, April came home late.
Angel did not like it when that happened, so she would simply get into her car, drive to the cafe, and go pick up her wife herself.
Then they would both return home together.
