“Grandpa.”

A smile immediately spread across Mr. Shaw’s wrinkled face as he looked at Chloe Sinclair.

“What brings you two here?”

Chloe Sinclair replied, “I came to get all the data for the laboratory.”

She had only just arrived at the research institute and was still unfamiliar with the progress and direction of many of the senior researchers’ work.

Mr. Shaw naturally understood what Chloe Sinclair meant, so he placed the prepared files on the table.

Watching Chloe Sinclair and Jasper Shaw’s retreating figures, Mr. Shaw couldn’t help but murmur, “The future of the country is in your hands now.”

When he was young, his family was wealthy, so he was able to attend and graduate from university without any trouble.

In that era, a university degree was highly valued, and graduates were welcomed everywhere in the country.

But when he studied abroad, he discovered that this was only the case back home.

Life abroad was not as pleasant as he had imagined.

White people looked down on his countrymen, targeting them and making things difficult at every turn. They mocked them for lacking advanced technology and powerful military weapons.

Even the exchange students from Grython would sometimes belittle them, mocking his countrymen as the “Sick Men of East Asia.”

And it was true; the nation’s technological strength back then was far too behind.

But now, the country was growing stronger and more prosperous. The new generation was increasingly patriotic, and everything was thriving.

Their technology far surpassed that of other nations, placing them at the forefront of the world.

Their infrastructure technology was ranked number one in the world, beyond comparison even with the developed nations of Europe.

His country was rising from its scarred past, moving toward a future of vigorous prosperity!

His grandson and granddaughter-in-law would, in the near future, stand at the very forefront of science and technology!

Mr. Shaw sat in his office. Despite his advanced age, his eyes still held an unyielding spirit.

‘The things he, Kane Shaw, couldn’t accomplish when he was young, his grandson and granddaughter-in-law will! They will even do it better, more perfectly!’

—

After returning to her room, Chloe Sinclair began to go through all the data from the past ten years.

There was a lot of it; even after Mr. Shaw had condensed it, the amount was still considerable.

However, Chloe Sinclair and Jasper Shaw flipped through the pages with incredible speed.

In a single night, the two of them had more or less mastered the institute’s current research.

The pair tidied up briefly, then put on their lab coats and headed to the research conference room.

To Chloe Sinclair’s surprise, the conference table was already filled with people.

Chloe Sinclair and Jasper Shaw exchanged a look, then found empty seats and sat down.

Mr. Shaw was getting old and could feel that his health was not what it used to be. So as not to hinder the research, he had already begun to transition into a behind-the-scenes role.

Therefore, the person sitting at the head of the conference table was Chloe Sinclair.

A young woman sitting in the lead position—if it had been anyone else, the others would have started grumbling by now.

But this group had already witnessed Chloe Sinclair’s incredible abilities the day before, so aside from excitement, they felt nothing else.

Besides, the world has never been short of Geniuses.

“Everyone, I’ve called this meeting today to tell you all one thing: we are going to build the satellite within one year!”

Chloe Sinclair’s words sent a murmur through the entire conference room.

Scott Yates frowned as well.

He didn’t mean any harm, just asking, “Our current progress is only a third of the way through. A year might be too short.”

He knew that Project Jiuzhang had already taken nearly ten years, from initial concept to its current research phase.

Wanting to build a satellite within a year was clearly impossible.

But Scott Yates didn’t say this out loud.

He subconsciously recalled Mr. Shaw’s words.

‘Chloe Sinclair is a miracle.’

‘Perhaps this young woman before him really could create a miracle?’
