From Trash to Treasure: The Sinclair Family's Beloved Genius
Chapter 541: A New Research Genius
Just as everyone was filled with doubt, Scott Yates slammed his hand on the table.
“Alright! We’ll build the satellite within a year! Let’s show those Westerners that our technology is just as good as anyone else’s!”
As if inspired, many of the researchers also slammed their hands on their tables and stood up.
“That’s right! One year it is! I’ll be damned if I can’t get it done!”
“In one year’s time, we will definitely build a state-of-the-art satellite!”
“Let’s do it! We’ll show the entire world that Celestria can become the first nation to develop a new type of satellite in just one year!”
“Our great nation of Celestria has never lacked for miracles. So what if we create another one today!”
“…”
In the research lab, everyone’s blood was boiling with excitement. Their bloodshot eyes shone with resolve.
They looked at Chloe Sinclair, their resolute gazes fixed upon the girl who was not yet twenty.
This was the first time Chloe Sinclair had ever witnessed such fervent emotion from these scientists.
In the research projects she had participated in during her last life, most scientists just buried their heads in experiments and data recording.
But it was undeniable that no matter the era, the patriotism of this group of scientists in white lab coats and goggles was always unwavering.
Chloe Sinclair’s eyes grew misty. “Alright! Then let’s show the whole world what Celestria’s Science and Celestria’s power are all about!”
Looking at the red flag on the wall, a fire ignited in Chloe Sinclair’s heart.
She swore to herself she would build the new satellite in the shortest time possible.
With that thought, Chloe Sinclair immediately turned on the projector.
The projector, linked to her computer, instantly displayed the information for all the research team leaders to see.
Chloe Sinclair cleared her throat. “This is the information I’ve compiled. Right now, what we’re lacking most is not just technology, but also resources and top-tier scientists in Physics.”
The development of a new satellite requires not just mechanical engineering, but also complex calculations from various fields, as well as the creation of an internal power source.
“The base currently has 372 scientists. Three hundred of them are in mechanical engineering, with Scott Yates as the head and Don Lynch as the deputy head. There are 72 scientists in Physics, with Landon Sinclair as the head and Samson Upton as the deputy head.”
Chloe Sinclair subconsciously glanced at Samson Upton’s file and was taken aback for a moment.
She knew of Samson Upton; he was a year below her.
He had placed first in the nation last year.
What truly surprised her was that Samson Upton was also an actor.
Since Samson Upton was so young, Chloe Sinclair spotted him in the crowd instantly.
The boy was dressed in a white lab coat. He had probably just come from an experiment, as he hadn’t yet taken off his goggles.
His appearance, however, took Chloe Sinclair by surprise.
The boy’s eyes were large and strikingly clear, with a dewy look that made them seem as if they could speak. His memorable, slightly curly chestnut hair looked natural.
When the boy noticed her looking, he offered her a small smile.
Chloe Sinclair gave a nod in return, quickly looking away from Samson Upton.
“Once the technology matures, the base will be relocated to The Kharzan Desert. Please be prepared for the move.”
“Meeting dismissed!”
After everyone dispersed, they all hurried to their workstations to get to work.
Once everyone else had gone, however, Jasper Shaw couldn’t resist stroking Chloe Sinclair’s face. “Why were you staring at that kid just now?”
Chloe Sinclair blanked for a moment before it dawned on her that this master of jealousy was talking about Samson Upton.
“He’s just a kid. Why would you be jealous of a kid?”
Jasper Shaw replied, “I’d get jealous of a three-year-old.”
