Chapter 491: Chapter 244: Stack It into a Wall, What Do You Say?

Irkutsk Airport!

The familiar, sky-blue, three-story terminal, which looked more like a residential building, came into view. Six SUVs and a cargo truck slowly pulled up to the airport entrance.

The car doors opened, and a dozen or so burly men in matching black suits stepped out. The spectacle immediately drew the attention of everyone nearby. Even passengers inside the airport came to the windows to see what the commotion was about.

They began to whisper among themselves, speculating about what kind of VIP would travel with so many bodyguards.

Looking at the members of the private security team lined up in two rows at the entrance, Su Chen got out of the car with a sigh of resignation. His original plan had been simple: just two cars for the airport trip. One for him and Chen Fei, and the other for Pang Hu and the two little ones.

But as it turned out... when Ivan found out he was leaving, he insisted on seeing him off. Faced with such earnest sincerity, Su Chen could only reluctantly agree.

What he hadn’t expected, however, was that Ivan would summon over a dozen men—the entire group from the mountain camp, the same patrol team that had later helped move the gold.

These patrolmen held Su Chen in the highest regard. The moment they saw him get out of the car, they all straightened their backs and silently gave him a respectful gaze.

In the short month since he had arrived at the ranch, every single one of their families had undergone an earth-shattering transformation. Thanks to the rewards Su Chen had given them, they had all bought new homes in Irkutsk City, and their living conditions were immeasurably better than before.

They all knew that Su Chen was the one responsible for all of this. When they heard he was returning to his country, they all came voluntarily to see him off.

"Alright, don’t just stand there like fools. Get Pang Hu and the others inside," Su Chen said with some exasperation, looking at Ivan who stood at the very front.

Ivan grinned, then gestured for a few team members to head toward the cargo truck at the back.

It took five or six men working together to lift a wooden crate from the truck. It was the kind specially made for transporting animals, sealed on most sides with only an air hole about two palms wide left at the front. Pang Hu could be seen peering out through it.

Originally, Su Chen hadn’t wanted to put Pang Hu in a crate. But since the airport lacked a business channel that would allow them to drive directly onto the tarmac, he had no choice but to inconvenience the tiger to avoid causing a scene.

As for the other two little ones, they were in hand-carried pet carriers held by Chen Fei.

The staff in the airport waiting hall had already been notified. They arranged for a luggage cart, placed Pang Hu’s crate on it, and began pushing it into the airport.

Su Chen patted Ivan’s shoulder, said softly, "Don’t disappoint me," and then gave Chen Fei a look. The two of them then walked briskly into the airport.

"Boss, don’t worry! I will absolutely not fail to live up to your expectations!" Ivan replied loudly.

Su Chen, who was just about to enter the airport, paused his steps. Without turning his head, he raised his left hand and gave a wave, signaling that he understood.

Ivan and the others watched silently until Su Chen and Chen Fei disappeared from view before they turned, got back in their cars, and drove away.

「...」

After Su Chen and Chen Fei entered the airport, it felt like they had walked into a zoo. Everyone stared at them with curiosity.

Fortunately, Irkutsk Airport was a small one, and it wasn’t peak tourist season, so there weren’t too many passengers waiting. Otherwise, Su Chen really couldn’t have stood the feeling of being constantly stared at.

Following an airport employee, they boarded a shuttle bus that towed the wooden crate containing Pang Hu toward Su Chen’s private jet.

Su Chen’s plane was a private jet, so boarding wasn’t handled at the terminal but out on the tarmac.

"Sir, would you like us to load this wooden crate onto the plane?" a member of the ground crew asked upon seeing the crate.

"No, that won’t be necessary. I’ll just need your help disposing of this crate in a moment," Su Chen said as he walked toward it.

The ground crew member, however, looked baffled. ’Dispose of the crate?’ he thought. ’Just looking at that huge wooden box—about one and a half meters tall and three meters long—it must be holding a lot. Is he planning to take the contents out and then carry them onto the plane?’

Just as the ground crew member was wondering about this, he saw Su Chen undo the latch on the wooden crate. A large, black-and-white tiger appeared before his eyes.

"A... a tiger?" the ground crew member stammered, his voice trembling. If his legs hadn’t frozen up, he probably would have already run for it.

’Why didn’t they give us a heads-up they were transporting a tiger?’ he cursed the airport security staff in his head. ’At least give the ground crew some mental preparation!’

’And what’s with the owner of this private jet? He just lets the tiger out so casually! What if it mauls someone to death? You can pay with money, but we don’t want to pay with our lives!’

Su Chen noticed the ground crew member’s panic. He smiled and stroked Pang Hu, who was currently rubbing against his leg. "It’s alright," he said with a chuckle. "Pang Hu is very gentle. He won’t do anything to you."

The ground crew member forced a pained smile and nodded in agreement, terrified that saying the wrong thing would get him attacked by the big White Tiger.

Seeming to understand the crewman’s thoughts, Su Chen patted Pang Hu’s head and led him toward the plane.

Boarding the plane inevitably caused a wave of panic among the flight attendants. But when they learned that the big White Tiger was their own boss’s pet—and a particularly docile one at that—their eyes began to sparkle, and they all wanted to go up and hug Pang Hu and pet him.

Pang Hu, who was lying at Su Chen’s feet, suddenly felt an inexplicable chill. He lifted his head and looked around. Finding no danger, he scooted a little closer to Su Chen, as if only by his side could he feel safe.
