Chapter 469 - 382: Avril’s Spiritual Magic and Inspecting the Magic Academy

Chapter 469: Chapter 382: Avril’s Spiritual Magic and Inspecting the Magic Academy

"Don’t worry, I’ll write to my father and have him send a shipment of supplies over."

Avril said.

...

「The next morning, at the crack of dawn.」

In the castle’s small square, Storm Griffin King Baofeng already stood tall and proud, preening his tawny Iron Feathers majestically.

Behind him, twenty Griffin Knights were lined up in neat formation.

Avril was wearing a set of blue Magic Robes.

Raylo carefully draped a cloak over Avril’s shoulders and fastened the clasp.

Raylo helped her up, and the two of them leaped onto Baofeng’s broad back.

At Raylo’s command, Baofeng let out a piercing cry. With a powerful beat of his wings, a huge gust of air kicked up dust from the ground. His massive body shot up from the earth, soaring straight into the clouds.

Immediately after, twenty Griffins took to the sky at once, forming a standard escort formation with Baofeng protected in the center.

The wind howled past their ears as Black Stone Territory below rapidly shrank into a dark patch on the landscape.

Avril leaned against Raylo, her face lit with the joy of freedom as she gazed at the endless mountains and forests below. The experience of flying high in the sky was nothing like traveling by carriage.

More than two hours of flight passed in what felt like an instant.

When a vast expanse of azure blue appeared on the horizon, Avril couldn’t help but sit up straight.

That was Amber Lake, like a flawless piece of amber set into the verdant fields.

Sunlight scattered across the lake’s surface, its glittering waves refracting into a thousand points of light.

On the shore of the lake stood an exquisite castle, none other than Amber Castle.

"It’s beautiful."

Avril sighed in genuine admiration.

Unlike the rugged grandeur of Black Stone Territory, Amber Territory exuded a sense of grace and refinement.

Baofeng began to lower his altitude, and the escorting Griffin Knights adjusted their formation accordingly.

A group of people was already waiting in the square before Amber Castle.

Lillian was at their head, dressed in a well-tailored, fiery red Mage Robe. Her amber-colored hair was tied back in a neat ponytail, making her look even more vibrant and youthful.

Seeing the Griffin formation in the sky, a brilliant smile spread across her face, and she waved her hand energetically.

"THUD!"

Baofeng landed smoothly in the center of the square. The gust of wind from his folding wings sent Lillian’s Mage Robe fluttering wildly.

Raylo vaulted to the ground and then helped Avril down.

Avril walked forward and affectionately took Lillian’s hand.

"Lillian, it’s been too long. This place of yours is looking more and more beautiful."

"Sister Avril, so are you."

Lillian returned a sweet smile, and the two sisters quickly fell into conversation.

After some brief pleasantries, Lillian’s focus shifted to business. She said, a bit impatiently,

"Come on, let me show you our academy."

She deliberately emphasized the word "our," her face filled with pride.

The location of the Magic Academy was exceptionally well-chosen, built not far from the shores of Amber Lake.

The academy wasn’t massive, but its design was extremely clever.

Several white, three-story buildings were arranged in a picturesque layout, interspersed with gardens and fountains.

A small Mage Tower stood in the center of the academy, glittering in the sunlight as it continuously gathered the surrounding Magic Elements.

Raylo could feel that the concentration of Elements here was significantly higher than elsewhere. It was clear a Magic Array designed to gather Magic Elements had been established.

"When you insisted on building the academy here, I thought it was a bit far out. Looking at it now, you made the right choice."

Raylo nodded in satisfaction as he took in the scene.

"Of course it was. The environment is crucial for a Mage’s development."

Lillian lifted her chin like a proud little swan.

"I didn’t want our students to be learning Magic while smelling ore from Black Stone Territory all day."

Raylo chuckled. The girl never missed a chance to take a jab at his Black Stone Territory.

As they walked into the academy, they heard a medley of sounds.

It was class time, and the scenes inside the classrooms were visible through the hallway windows.

In one classroom, dozens of young boys and girls in uniform gray apprentice robes sat ramrod straight, listening with rapt attention as a middle-aged Mage at the front explained basic Magic Runes.

Their eyes were filled with a thirst for knowledge and hope for the future.

Another classroom seemed to be holding a practical lesson.

The students were attempting to control their Spiritual Power to light up a small Crystal on their desks.

The Crystals in front of some students were already emitting a faint glow, their faces showing unconcealable joy. Others were sweating profusely as their Crystals remained unresponsive, leaving them to scratch their heads in frustration.

One unlucky soul seemed to have used too much force. With a loud "CRACK!", the Crystal in front of him split open, startling him so much that he fell right out of his chair, drawing a wave of quiet laughter.

This lively and vibrant scene brought knowing smiles to both Raylo’s and Avril’s faces.

This wasn’t just an academy; it was the future hope of their territory.

Lillian led them through the corridor to the dean’s office, located on the first floor of the Mage Tower.

A lady in a Mage Robe, with a gentle and elegant bearing, was already waiting for them.

She appeared to be around forty years old and was exceptionally well-preserved. This was Lillian’s teacher, the current dean of the Magic Academy—Lady Irina.

"Count Raylo, Lady Avril."

Lady Irina stood and gave them a Mage’s salutation.

"Lady Irina, thank you for all your hard work."

Raylo returned the gesture.

"It is my honor."

Lady Irina smiled and invited them to sit.

Her gaze was filled with a passion for Magic.

"Lord Earl, Lillian, please allow me to report on the academy’s current situation."
