“You’re going to break it.”

Hearing Bebuta’s words, Li Ziyu froze for a moment, then realized he was talking about his hand.

Though he didn’t understand, he quickly lifted his hand away.

There, on the spot he had just been pressing, was a clear handprint.

Bebuta turned to stare at the handprint and sighed helplessly once more.

As a Lord-Level Void Creature, he naturally had the ability to recover from injuries.

The recovery process, however, was very similar to insect molting. A very soft new shell would form first, which would then gradually harden back to its normal state.

Although the hardened shell possessed extraordinary Defense Power, the newly formed shell had none whatsoever.

Normally, forget about a simple press—even if Li Ziyu had taken a Sword to him, Bebuta wouldn’t have cared, because it was impossible to hurt him.

But things were different now. Li Ziyu had only pressed down, yet he’d left a clear handprint. That part of the shell had completely caved in.

It was like pressing hard on a water-logged sponge.

“Uh…”

Li Ziyu was extremely embarrassed.

He hadn’t known that would happen.

He had only wanted to show how seriously he was taking the matter; he never thought he’d end up hurting Bebuta.

‘What a mess.’

“Prepare more Energy. To open a Wormhole capable of teleporting something like the Undead Fortress, I need to replenish a large amount of Energy.”

Bebuta wasn’t actually too concerned about the spot that had been pressed. It would recover after a little while; it would just take some extra time.

Li Ziyu nodded immediately upon hearing Bebuta’s request.

‘Getting Void Energy should be simple enough. I’ll just go hunt some Void Creatures.’

“I’ll go kill some more Void Creatures right now. Roughly how much Energy do you need?”

Bebuta turned his head, giving Li Ziyu a look that seemed to say, ‘You really are a Demon, aren’t you?’

Li Ziyu gave a sheepish laugh. He had forgotten that Bebuta was also a Void Creature. Saying that was basically the same as saying he was going to kill Bebuta’s kin.

“Go find a Void Energy Crystal Ore Vein!”

“There’s one on the other side of the forest. Just go through it and dig out the Void Energy Crystal Stones.”

Bebuta said, looking as if he’d lost all will to live.

“There are many Void Creatures in the forest. It won’t be easy for me to get through.”

“Your Fortress is housing a recuperating Void Lord.”

Bebuta was suddenly overcome with the feeling of, ‘Maybe I should just kill myself.’

‘Is this guy an idiot?’

Li Ziyu slapped his head. ‘Of course! What’s wrong with me today? It’s like I’ve been hit with an intelligence-lowering debuff.’

‘It must be because I’m too focused on the teleportation.’

‘Yeah, that’s right. That has to be it.’

In that case, what was there to wait for? Time to advance on the Void Energy Crystal Ore Vein!

The Undead Fortress turned around and charged toward the forest.

Li Ziyu wasn’t fond of operating in a forest environment. The dense trees made movement difficult, not to mention the presence of Void Creatures.

But for the sake of Void Energy Crystal Stones, these were minor inconveniences.

Chaaarge!

The battle between Damenevsky and Bebuta had been a world-shaking event.

The surrounding Tribes weren’t blind; they had all naturally noticed such a powerful fluctuation of Power.

They were extremely curious about what kind of battle could have triggered such an immense surge of Energy, and they naturally sent scouts to investigate.

With the protection of the Undead Fortress, Li Ziyu could get closer, but the people from the other Tribes weren’t so lucky.

They could only watch from a great distance.

Even so, they discovered that the battle seemed to involve the Undead Race.

The spies sent by the Tribes didn’t leave after the battle ended. Instead, they continued to monitor Li Ziyu’s movements.

As a result, they discovered that the Undead Fortress had suddenly moved. Not only had it moved, but it was charging straight for the forest.

“The Undead have gone mad!”

“What are they doing?”

“The forest! The Undead are entering the forest! Quick, go back and tell everyone!”

“But that’s a place occupied by Void Creatures!”

As everyone knows, news doesn’t travel in a straight line. It gets… messy.

By the time word of the Undead Fortress charging into the forest reached the ears of the various Tribe Clan Leaders and Chieftains, the message had already warped. It was now: “The Undead Race has discovered the Void Creatures’ lair and is launching an all-out assault for a decisive final battle.”

Upon hearing this, the Chieftains and Clan Leaders of the various Tribes were left dumbfounded and silent.

They were all thinking the same thing: ‘Is this damn news real or fake?’

‘How could an all-out war just break out all of a sudden?’

‘What are these Undead planning?’

Just as they were contemplating the source of the intelligence, Li Ziyu and the Undead Fortress had already charged into the forest.

Meanwhile, Bebuta, who was recovering inside the Fortress, seized the opportunity to unleash an aura perceptible only to Void Creatures, driving away any that approached to attack the Undead Fortress.

Aside from a few mindless Wild Beasts, the Undead Fortress’s path was completely clear. The only tragedy was for the trees, which had been growing for who knows how many years.

Li Ziyu had no elegant solution for the trees, so he simply had the Fortress plow straight through them, knocking them over.

The fallen trees couldn’t go to waste, of course. The Undead collected them all and threw them into the Warehouse.

These were all materials. And according to the system prompts, they were even top-grade basic materials with special effects.

Li Ziyu was very satisfied. He gave himself a mental pat on the back.

‘A Lord must, after all, be a model of thrift and diligence.’
