If Aria failed to comprehend it, he would step in and help.

The scene shifted.

Night fell, pitch-black as ink, fierce winds howled through the dense forest, as if trying to devour everything, within this endless darkness, a massive tiger demon with fur gleaming with cold, sinister luster emerged from the shadows, its eyes were like burning flames, radiating a bloodthirsty, vicious light.

Vale stood not far away, facing this terrifying tiger demon, there was not the slightest trace of fear in his eyes, the sword in his hand glinted with cold light under the moon, as if merging with the dark night.

Watching Aria, trapped experiencing all of this inside Vale’s body, sneering and provoking the beast gave Adam an inexplicable sense of amusement.

"Hmph, just an overgrown cat!"

The tiger demon seemed thoroughly enraged by the provocation, it let out a deafening roar, its massive body charging like an arrow from a bowstring, Vale’s figure blurred, dodging the initial wave of attacks, but he could feel this creature’s strength far exceeded any beast he had encountered before.

"Interesting, come, eat me!" Vale laughed heartily.

Gripping his sword, he charged head-on, every collision between sword and claw produced a deafening boom, as if tearing the night sky apart.

The tiger demon’s onslaught was relentless as a surging tide, Vale sustained injuries continuously in the brutal melee, yet never backed down, an unyielding flame burned in his eyes, every swing of his sword grew sharper and more ruthless.

The battle entered a white-hot phase, Vale’s body was covered in gashes, but he held on, he understood this was life-and-death, only by going all out would he have a sliver of a chance.

Riiiip!

A tiger claw raked across his abdomen, tearing open a massive gash, blood sprayed wildly.

Adam narrowed his eyes, that was a critical injury.

But Vale did not retreat, he used this moment to find an opening, focusing all remaining strength into a single thrust toward the beast’s belly.

Blood spurted out, the tiger demon roared in agony, its offensive weakening instantly.

Riding the momentum, Vale launched a fierce barrage, his sword stabbing repeatedly into the beast’s abdomen, amidst a sky-shaking roar, the tiger demon collapsed, its massive corpse still exuded a terrifying aura.

Panting heavily, Vale sat atop the dead tiger, clutching his bleeding abdomen, looking at his scarred body, his heart filled with exhilarating satisfaction, he threw his head back and laughed, the sound echoing through the forest, as if driving away all fear and pain.

"Hahaha! I won! I, Vale, fear neither heaven nor earth! No matter how strong you are, I can still make you fall!" His laughter was full of boundless pride and heroism.

He lay back on the tiger demon, gazing up at the starry sky, as if the entire world lay beneath his feet.

Adam’s mouth twitched, this guy is absolutely a battle maniac.

"How can he still laugh? He’s so severely injured! And why come out here to fight demonic beasts? He sealed away his spiritual energy and is only using his physical body, why?!"

Adam heard Aria’s voice, the corners of his mouth curled up, she finally couldn’t hold back her complaints.

In her view, battles between cultivators were inevitable, but why voluntarily seal one’s spiritual energy to fight demonic beasts with just the body? How was that different from torture?

But before Aria could finish her rant, Vale bandaged the wound and continued marching deeper into the forest.

"No, seriously, he’s so badly hurt, why is he still going?" Aria’s brows furrowed tightly, if this weren’t an opportunity to become a Saint, she would have quit long ago.

Holding the Starlight Crystal, Adam began to review Vale’s past, soon, his eyes narrowed.

Looking at Vale’s scar-riddled body, Adam let out a faint sigh, what a pitiful man.

The night grew deeper, Vale walked through the forest, feeling the throbbing pain, yet the unyielding light in his eyes still flickered.

From deep within the distant woods, a low, eerie roar drew closer.

He knew it was a new demonic beast, no, rather, his next stepping stone.

As the roar approached, a massive beast emerged from the darkness.

A Giant Steel Bear.

Its eyes glowed with gloomy green light, and its fur shone with metallic luster, every breath caused the air to tremble.

The Giant Steel Bear was the most troublesome beast in this forest, not only immensely strong, but its fur was tough as steel, incredibly difficult to cut through.

Even utterly exhausted, Vale’s gaze remained resolute, he gripped his sword, took a deep breath, and prepared himself.

"Wait, he’s still going to fight? He can’t win, it’s impossible! Run away! At least unseal your cultivation!" Aria was entirely baffled.

Why continue in this state? Was he truly unafraid of death?

Amidst her shock, Vale charged forward once more.

The beast roared and charged as well, astonishingly fast.

Vale no longer searched for weak points, because there were none, instead, he chose a direct, crazier style, meeting the attack head-on with every ounce of remaining strength.

"Come on, you beast! Let me see your strength!" Vale roared, his longsword carving sharp, ruthless arcs through the air.

He was going to clash head-on with the Giant Steel Bear.

The beast’s attacks surged like a tidal wave, but Vale was fearless, he used swordsmanship and raw courage to confront it, every collision boomed as if the forest were quaking.

But the beast’s power was too overwhelming, Vale quickly fell to severe disadvantage, his body was struck again and again, blood splattering, yet he gritted his teeth and held on.

Blood poured from his abdomen, his face was deathly pale, as if he might perish any second.

But still.

"It’s not enough! I’m still not strong enough!" Vale kept roaring furiously.

Right at this moment, Vale felt a sudden surge of power well up from within his entire body, even his wounds didn’t seem to hurt as much anymore.

Moreover, he felt he could now completely control the vitality and blood qi coursing through his veins, gathering all his bodily strength into his arms, he raised his heavy sword to deliver a fatal strike!
