Forbidden Wizard Remi was in the Magic City. He had yet to leave the Magic City. After that incident, he didn’t go back to the Black Tower.
He was angry. He was fooled by the brat from the Silver Tower when he went to that Crystal City appraisal shop at that time.
He had looted some collections, but he didn’t expect the live streaming was going on. His activities were watched by the online viewers of the Crystal City.
His face was exposed. Now the whole Magic City and the surrounding satellite cities knew about the robbery that took place at the appraisal shop.
Since the shop was owned by Vincent Carey, the Supreme Wizard, the news made the headlines quickly.
The footage was recorded by some of the online viewers and it was aired in the media. His face became clear in the footage. He was exposed.
Since then, he has been getting calls from the faction elders. They must be pissed off. He had taken action without their knowledge.
The Mage Union had strictly warned against internal fights, especially during the current crisis. They didn’t want anyone to take advantage of the opportunity.
But he went against that and did something stupid. Not only did he not see the brat, but he was exposed instead.
Now the Silver Tower had the chips against him. He couldn’t make an excuse. Thinking about it, veins popped up on his forehead.
He decided to find some information about the new evil force. It would make the faction elders calm down. Until then, he didn’t want to make a decision.
When it came to Vincent Carey, he would do something about it in the future. He won’t naively fall into the trap again. So that was the last time he would visit Crystal City.
He is going to the city again in the future.

The cab reached the hotel and came to a halt in front of it. I exited the cab and paid the fare to the driver. Then I turned around and walked into the hotel.
I found the curious gazes of the hotel staff. Their eyes looked like they wanted to find information. I ignored their gazes and went to the premium suite.
After reaching the room, I entered and shut the door behind me. I looked around and saw the members stand up.
"Did you guys find anything?" I asked them.
Otto, Patrick, Hank, and the old man Rock shook their heads one by one. Their eyes were filled with disappointment.
"We went to the public areas. There were a few discussions about what is happening in the Magic City. But they didn’t know the full details," Otto said.
"Most of the population here is clueless," Patrick said.
"We didn’t find anything," Hank said with a sigh.
"Maybe this place was not the right choice," Rock said from the side. He too had tried to get important information, but the people here were clueless.
Even the rich people didn’t know what was happening in the Magic City.
I listened to their explanations one by one, but I was not surprised. If they learned that City Lord Bryan was already compromised, I wondered what their reactions would be.
But I didn’t want to tell them right now. The enemies employ unknown evil magic. They brought the City Lord to their side without much noise.
"It’s okay, try again. Go during the night. Check if there are any suspicious activities," I said to them.
Hearing that, everyone agreed. It was their first time staying in the city. It was impossible to reach a conclusion on their first visit.
Then I went to my room. I closed the door and appeared inside the system space.
A black steel-clad Zero Puppet stood in front of City Lord Bryan. The two lights from its eye sockets were fixed on him.
When I appeared, the Zero Puppet turned towards me.
"Is he awake?" I asked.
"No, he is still unconscious," the Zero Puppet replied.
Hearing that, I checked his condition using the system. The system results said that the City Lord was indeed unconscious.
But how to get information from him? I didn’t want the existence behind him to know about his state. But it would be a matter of time before his disappearance spread through the city.
Then I thought of the Zero Puppet. It had evolved from being a Grade-7 intel-gathering puppet.
"Zero, can you get information from his mouth?" I asked.
"Master, City Lord Bryan is already under the effect of some spell. If he divulges information, he might die," the Zero Puppet said.
Hearing that, I frowned.
"System, check the City Lord’s vein condition," I said to the system.
[Ding! City Lord Bryan is affected by an evil magic spell.]
[Ding! If he continues to remain unconscious, he might die because of the evil spell.]
I heard the system voice in my mind. Then I began to ponder. Why am I doing this? It’s because Manager Lara wanted me to collect some information.
But the mission was actually given by Lord Charlotte. I’m part of their faction. If I hand over the person directly to Lord Charlotte, they might employ a better way to collect information from him.
When this thought appeared in my mind, I felt it was the correct choice. Let the higher-ups handle this person. If the existence behind the City Lord appears, then Lord Charlotte and the others will take care of it.
I looked toward the Zero Puppet and told him to watch over him.
"If he wakes up again, don’t make him unconscious. Instead, freeze him with slight pressure. He should not lose consciousness, but at the same time, he shouldn’t speak or be able to control his body," I said to the Zero Puppet.
"Okay, Master," the Zero Puppet agreed.
Then I appeared outside the room. I used the system to check the room. When everything was fine, I took the device out and made a call to Lord Charlotte.
The ring goes on...
Finally, the call connected. She answered the call.
"Vincent, where are you?"
A female voice sounded from the other side of the call. Her voice was filled with surprise.
