Hogwarts Diary: Snape Goes Crazy
Chapter 16: Second Diary Entry
Chapter 16: Chapter 16: Second Diary Entry
Chapter Sixteen: Second Diary Entry
When Vesey opened her eyes again, she found that only the setting sun remained outside the window.
Madam Pomfrey was not there, nor was Snape. The entire hospital wing was deserted.
She used a little Energy to check the locations of Snape, Dumbledore, and Madam Pomfrey.
They were all in a meeting now.
The meeting had only just begun, and it seemed it would take some time to finish.
Vesey immediately took out her diary.
She decided to write the second diary entry while she had the chance.
As for why she had to do it now?
Of course, it was because this timing was less likely to arouse Dumbledore’s suspicions.
Although Dumbledore, that old fox, seemed to like her, Vesey knew that he must actually be suspicious of her.
After all, ever since the diary appeared, only Vesey had benefited from it.
Vesey had been rescued from the orphanage, treated well by Snape, and even brought to Hogwarts...
Every one of these things could make Dumbledore suspect that Vesey herself had created the diary.
Her identity was strange to begin with.
Lily obviously hadn’t given birth to another child, so Vesey’s sudden appearance must have seemed like some kind of conspiracy to Dumbledore.
And then there was the diary.
A powerful being disguised as one of Lily’s children, writing in a diary every day just to toy with them?
Vesey didn’t even need to use her brain to know that this was probably what Dumbledore was thinking.
So she had to write the next diary entry during a time when she was "absent."
Right now, in everyone’s eyes, she should still be sleeping. There was no way she could be writing a diary.
That might make her seem less suspicious.
Actually, the best time to write a diary would be after school started, while she was doing her homework.
That should completely dispel Dumbledore’s suspicions.
But Vesey thought about it again and felt that it might actually make Dumbledore even more suspicious.
As long as Dumbledore confirmed that she was the one writing the diary, he would be filled with doubts about her.
Therefore, it was best for Vesey to write an "absent" diary entry beforehand. That way, after school started, Dumbledore would no longer be certain that the diary had been written by her.
Vesey sighed.
Her heart was full of resentment toward Dumbledore.
If it weren’t for Dumbledore, she could have been writing in her diary every day.
Getting rewards every day was the kind of thing that could make her happy even in her dreams!
But because Dumbledore existed, she had to worry about her character, the identity she had created for the diary’s writer, and even calculate the timing.
This Dumbledore really was a piece of work!
Never mind.
Who was actually serious enough to keep a diary every single day?
She thought bitterly.
Then she picked up the diary.
At the same time.
A black diary suddenly appeared in front of Dumbledore and Snape, who were in the middle of a meeting.
Dumbledore and Snape looked at each other, their expressions becoming serious.
Dumbledore calmly motioned for Professor McGonagall to continue speaking, while his eyes remained fixed on the diary.
The diary opened by itself without any wind.
It flipped past the page Dumbledore had already read and stopped at a new entry.

"I haven’t written in my diary for more than a month, and I’m not feeling calm at all today. I’d better write something to relax!"
"Today I met Professor Longbottom. Professor Longbottom came to see Peter, the kid who lives next door to me."
"I don’t know why, but the kid received his Hogwarts admission letter today."
"But Professor Longbottom told me that this is normal. As long as the admission letter doesn’t arrive after the school term begins, it’s not too late."
"I’m actually not very familiar with Professor Longbottom, but he seems to know me quite well."
"We got to know each other because of Vesey."
"Vesey was in so much pain during that period that she couldn’t eat anything. Even my medicinal food couldn’t help her. That’s when they invited Professor Longbottom."
"Hermione told me that Professor Longbottom is the Herbology professor at Hogwarts. Maybe he could help with Vesey’s condition."
"I was very curious, so I asked Hermione how she was able to invite so many important people."
"As far as I know, the professors at Hogwarts are all very important figures in the wizarding world. Among Muggles, they’re roughly equivalent to university professors, or perhaps even more highly regarded. They’re considered experts, although ’expert’ isn’t exactly a very flattering word these days."
"But Hermione and the others can get these people to come over whenever they want, and even ask them to do their best to help. It’s really difficult to understand."
"I’m afraid Hermione threatened him. I’m a little worried. If she abuses her authority like this, could she be impeached?"
"Hermione told me that Professor Longbottom came here because of Vesey."
"Professor Longbottom was actually rather clumsy and insecure when he was at school. He was always bullied by someone named Malfoy."
"Vesey always helped Professor Longbottom and encouraged him to be brave. She even cured Professor Longbottom’s parents after the war. I heard that they were hit by the Cruciatus Curse?"
"I didn’t really understand what that spell was before, but now I understand why Professor Longbottom would help Vesey."
"When Vesey died, Professor Longbottom burst into tears at her funeral. In the end, his grandmother had to take him away. She was an old lady who looked extremely fierce. I almost thought she was going to slap me."
"Fortunately, she actually had a pretty good temper. She just spoke more harshly to other people, and then she dragged Professor Longbottom away."
"Vesey was buried in the Muggle world. I heard many people saying that Vesey should have been buried at Hogwarts. I don’t understand. Hogwarts is a school, so why can my friend be buried there?"
"Hermione told me it was an honor. I don’t understand. Of course I don’t understand. I’m a Muggle!"
"But Vesey probably really liked me, a Muggle. She asked to be buried not far from my home. It’s said that the place is also called Godric’s Hollow, and her parents are buried there."
"Sometimes when I go to see her, I think it’s just a square. But when I walk inside with my eyes closed and then open them, I can see Vesey’s parents holding a baby in their arms."
"I know that’s her brother. Every time Vesey went there, she would stare at that statue for a very, very long time."
Seeing this, Snape let out a choked sound from deep in his throat as he stood in Dumbledore’s office.
There was no Vesey in that statue.
No one knew that the child had ever existed.
Not even the statue allowed her to remain together with her parents.
Snape didn’t know how Vesey felt every time she looked at that statue.
She must have been incredibly sad, right?
