Chapter 3: The Lovely Girl

Hermione froze.

Because the moment she finished reading the diary, the scene of herself committing suicide while clutching Vesey’s tombstone seemed to appear before her eyes.

Blood slowly trickled from her wrist.

Yet what she felt wasn’t pain.

It was anticipation.

Scenes of her spending time with a girl suddenly flashed through her mind. Her fingers brushed across the corner of the girl’s lips, revealing a smear of bright red...

Hermione violently shook her head, trying to drive those images away.

Why?

How could this happen?

Was she really the Miss Granger mentioned in the diary?

But why would she become one of a girl’s wives?

She obviously liked boys!

Although no boy had ever caught her eye since she was little, there was no way she would end up with a girl in the future, right?

And who was Harry Potter?

The magical world?

Was this some kind of novel?

The diary was extremely strange, but it also made Hermione worried.

If everything written in it was true, then the girl named Vesey would be making the same mistake all over again.

Thinking about what was written in the diary, Hermione decided to call the police.

Well, she couldn’t use the telephone at home.

She had once reported a teacher for bullying a student by calling from a public telephone booth on the street.

She could do the same thing this time.

If it turned out to be a lie, no one would know that she had made the call.

Just do it!

---

At the same time.

Hogwarts, Headmaster’s Office.

Dumbledore frowned as he read through the diary again and again.

He had already gleaned several important pieces of information from it.

First, the diary should have been written by someone from the future—thirty-one years into the future.

The Muggle who wrote it was probably a woman.

According to what had been written about Vesey, the protagonist of the diary, she had been abused in the past and was therefore extremely wary of men.

She wouldn’t even allow Harry to touch her.

So if the owner of this diary were a man, there was a good chance Vesey wouldn’t have saved him in the first place.

Second, according to the diary’s owner, this Vesey was Harry Potter’s twin sister.

If it weren’t for her magical outburst, no one would have known that she existed at all.

However, this was something Dumbledore still couldn’t be certain about.

He would have to meet the girl named Vesey himself before he could confirm it.

Third, according to the diary’s owner, the incident involving Vesey would occur on July 8 of this year.

Today was July 5.

That meant that if the diary was telling the truth, something would happen to the girl in just three days.

Dumbledore thoughtfully tapped his fingers against the desk.

"I need to go out."

Even if it were merely an ordinary girl whose fate he had somehow learned about in advance, he couldn’t simply ignore it.

---

At that moment.

Potions Classroom.

Snape clenched his fists tightly.

Lily had another child?

Was the girl named Vesey real or fake?

If she really existed...

The moment he considered that possibility, Snape’s blood ran cold.

No.

He had to go and see for himself.

If it was true, he would kill every single one of those people!

---

Angel Baby Orphanage.

Vesey put down her quill.

At the same time, the mechanical voice of the system sounded in her mind.

[Ding! The first diary entry has been completed. Evaluation in progress.]

[Ding! Diary holder Dumbledore’s trust level: 75%.]

[Ding! Diary holder Snape’s trust level: 90%.]

[Ding! Diary holder Hermione Granger’s trust level: 70%.]

Vesey was very satisfied.

It was perfectly normal for Hermione to have the lowest trust level.

After all, Hermione was only eleven years old right now.

She could understand you perfectly well if you talked to her about academics, but talking to her about romance at this age was simply too ridiculous.

The reason she had such a high level of trust was probably because Hermione was naturally intelligent.

As for Snape’s high trust level, that was only natural.

After all, who wouldn’t lose their composure after hearing news about Lily?

Well, technically, it was news about Lily’s daughter.

As for Dumbledore...

The reason he had given such a high level of trust was probably because the way the diary had appeared made him subconsciously suspect that some powerful wizard was behind it.

That naturally made him take it seriously.

Of course, if Vesey were given more time, Snape and Dumbledore’s trust levels would definitely rise even further.

After all, only after they personally came here and witnessed everything would they be able to completely believe what the diary said.

Of course, this only applied to the current diary.

It didn’t mean they would automatically believe everything written in future entries.

At most, it would make the next diary entries somewhat more credible.

Even so, Vesey felt that she had done an excellent job with this diary.

What a wonderful identity she had fabricated!

First, this identity was a friend of the protagonist.

Naturally, everything she wrote about would be related to Vesey. That way, if she encountered any danger, she could immediately record it in the diary and have someone come to rescue her.

Second, although this identity wasn’t particularly familiar with Harry Potter, she had at least met him. If Vesey wanted to insert something related to the main storyline later, she could simply claim that Harry had told her about it.

Third, because she was using this identity, she didn’t need to write down her own name. That saved the diary holders the trouble of trying to figure out who the diary’s author actually was.

It was practically killing three birds with one stone.

[Ding! Evaluation complete.]

[The comprehensive evaluation of the first diary entry is: A-rank.]

[Rewards have been prepared. Would the host like to receive them now?]

Vesey almost jumped for joy.

Of course!

Distribute them immediately!

Wasn’t this exactly what she had worked so hard for?

[Ding! Congratulations to the host for obtaining God-level Acting Skills.]

[Ding! Congratulations to the host for obtaining an Obscurus.]

[Ding! Congratulations to the host for obtaining one Purification Elixir.]

[Ding! Congratulations to the host for obtaining 100 Energy Points. Energy will only be awarded for an A-rank evaluation or higher and can be exchanged for anything.]

[Ding! Congratulations to the host for obtaining the identity of Harry Potter’s twin sister.]

Vesey was stunned.

Her first thought was to use the energy to turn herself back into a real man.

But then she discovered that she had miscalculated.

Becoming a real man required 300,000 Energy Points.

Otherwise, she would have to wait for the system to give her the appropriate reward.

She sighed, looking utterly disappointed.

"Receive all the rewards!"

She immediately regretted saying it.

A wave of excruciating pain suddenly swept through her body, while large amounts of black impurities emerged from her skin.

The smell was absolutely horrible.

Vesey endured the pain and hurried into the bathroom.

After finally cleaning herself up, she took a palm-sized mirror from the cabinet.

She brought it close to her face and looked at her reflection.

Then she froze.

What an adorable face.

Her skin was fair and translucent.

Her lips were bright red.

And her green eyes were like two clear pools of water.

She smiled.

Vesey nearly fainted.

Oh my God!

How could there be such a cute little girl?

If this were her daughter, she would have gouged out the eyes of every one of those men herself!

Vesey clenched her fists and ground her teeth in anger.
