Hogwarts Diary: Snape Goes Crazy

Chapter 84 — Silent Spellcasting
Nicolas did exactly what he had decided to do and immediately wrote a sincere letter to Dumbledore.
He explained that he had learned today that Vesey would become his future heir, and he planned to bring her to his side.
He had no intention of hiding anything. If the contents of the diary could not be leaked, Nicolas Flamel even wanted to give Dumbledore a copy of it.
His heir!
And Dumbledore had nearly lost his chance to become one because of his paranoia.
Dumbledore really ought to give himself a couple of good knocks on the head.
Nicolas snorted coldly.
He looked over the letter he had written once more. At least this could be considered a sign of respect toward Dumbledore.
As for asking Vesey to leave school and come study under him, he didn’t think it would be difficult.
After all, he was Nicolas Flamel. How could anyone possibly refuse the chance to become his successor?
And Dumbledore...
Hadn’t that boy always been suspicious of Vesey?
That’s right. In Nicolas’s eyes, Dumbledore could only be considered a young man.
Even if that "young man" happened to look older than him.
He thought that if he took Vesey away, Dumbledore wouldn’t have to worry so much.
His letter quickly arrived on Dumbledore’s office desk.
Dumbledore opened it without hesitation.
He had originally thought Nicolas was going to tell him something about the Philosopher’s Stone, but as soon as he opened the letter, he saw Nicolas’s request for Vesey to leave school and study alchemy under him.
Dumbledore rubbed his forehead.
He sighed with a headache.
"Did even Nico see it?"
Logically speaking, Dumbledore felt that he should agree to Nicolas Flamel’s request.
Indeed, if Vesey left Hogwarts, Dumbledore would be relieved to a certain extent.
But he always felt that things shouldn’t happen this way.
If Vesey really left, would everything develop in a direction he would eventually regret?
But if he refused...
Dumbledore sighed deeply.
In the end, he decided to leave the choice to Vesey.
He put Nicolas’s letter aside and prepared to ask Vesey about it when he had the opportunity.
Vesey had no idea that Nicolas was planning to lock her away in his manor and make her study alchemy seriously.
She read the diary again and felt that everything was perfectly fine. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it.
If Nicolas Flamel didn’t accept her as his apprentice after reading this, then he must be completely blind!
[Ding, the fourth diary entry has been completed. Evaluation begins now.]
[Ding, Diary holder Dumbledore’s trust level: 91%.]
[Ding, Diary holder Snape’s trust level: 100%.]
[Ding, Diary holder McGonagall’s trust level: 99%.]
[Ding, Diary holder Voldemort’s trust level: 85%.]
[Ding, Diary holder Hermione’s trust level: 100%.]
[Ding, Diary holder Cassandra’s trust level: 91%.]
[Ding, Diary holder Nicolas Flamel’s trust level: 90%.]
Vesey smiled.
Sure enough.
She knew there was absolutely no problem with choosing Nicolas Flamel.
The old man was already prepared to die, so she believed it was perfectly normal for him to trust her.
Moreover, Nicolas had no obligation to save the world. As long as she satisfied him, he was willing to give her his trust.
Of course, because Vesey hadn’t mentioned anyone else this time, it hadn’t increased anyone else’s trust.
But Vesey thought that was enough.
Now, apart from Voldemort’s trust level, everyone else’s trust had reached at least 90%.
The average wasn’t low either.
An S rating was practically guaranteed.
[Ding, evaluation complete. Congratulations to the host for obtaining an S+ rating!]
Vesey grinned.
Sure enough, she knew her evaluation this time wouldn’t be low.
Another S+.
That meant another great haul.
[Ding, it has been detected that the host has obtained an S+ rating and has gained the opportunity to randomly select a Diary holder. Would you like to draw now?]
[Ding, if the host does not draw now, the selection can be made automatically before the next diary entry is written.]
Vesey sighed.
Draw it!
What else could she do?
Hopefully, this one would be a little easier to fool.
Please welcome the next victim.
[Ding, the selection of the next Diary holder begins.]
[Ding, selection successful. The next Diary holder is "Molly Weasley."]
Vesey’s face lit up with joy.
Another Diary holder who would be easy to fool.
Molly Weasley had been one of Vesey’s favorite characters in the original story.
Not just because she was kind to Harry, but more importantly because, during the final battle, she killed Bellatrix for the sake of her child.
That was a mother’s response.
So if Vesey wanted to gain her trust, all she had to do was mention her children.
For the sake of her children, Molly would probably believe the contents of the diary.
Vesey was very pleased with this.
[Ding, rewards have been received. Would the host like to claim them?]
Of course!
Vesey couldn’t wait.
[Ding, congratulations to the host for obtaining +300 Dark Arts talent.]
[Ding, congratulations to the host for obtaining +300 Potion talent.]
[Ding, congratulations to the host for obtaining an Energy Point Generator. You can obtain up to 500 Energy Points every day, and any unused daily quota can accumulate.]
[Ding, because the host has obtained Silent Spellcasting...]
[Ding, congratulations to the host for obtaining 1,000 Energy Points.]
Vesey was stunned.
In a sense, this was a bumper harvest.
Not to mention that the first two rewards alone were both +300 talent bonuses. She was already shocked by the opportunity to obtain Energy Points.
Finally, she could get Energy from something other than writing diaries.
She remembered that when Dumbledore had given her Veritaserum, the system had deducted 200 Energy Points from her.
Later, when Dumbledore cast Obliviate on her, another 200 points had been deducted.
Those Energy Points had nearly driven her into bankruptcy.
Recently, she had even been extremely careful when reading books, afraid of wasting too much Energy and then being caught by Dumbledore when she had no Energy left to deal with him.
And now, she had actually been given an Energy Point Generator.
With 500 Energy Points a day, she could even save up enough to purchase additional talents!
She nearly jumped for joy.
She immediately began asking the system how to use the Energy Point Generator.
After listening to the system’s lengthy explanation, she was still a little confused.
But the general idea was that it could collect other people’s emotional fluctuations.
The stronger the emotional reaction, the more Energy Points she would receive.
That should be how it worked.
If not, she’d figure it out later.
After studying the Energy Point Generator, she turned her attention to Silent Spellcasting.
That was an incredible ability too.
Previously, Vesey had to actually speak the incantations for many of her spells, making it easy for others to figure out what spell she had used.
And when she was in class, if she wanted to use a spell to freshen the air around herself, she could only quietly repeat the incantation several times before it took effect.
Now, with Silent Spellcasting combined with her wand, it was practically the perfect tool for maintaining her carefully crafted persona.
The only thing that left her speechless was that other fanfic protagonists used silent spells and powerful wands to conquer the world.
Meanwhile, she had to use them to pretend to be a well-behaved, sensible little girl.
It was simply humiliating.
Sure enough, this system was trash!
Of course, her own personality was also a major reason for this.
