I Build a Top-tier Fishing Destination
Chapter 229 - 200: Indoor Project
Chapter 229: Chapter 200: Indoor Project
"Let’s check out the back."
After finishing with the Tsunami Pool, Wang Tao led Chen Yuan and the others around to the rear of the building.
The hillside back here had been cleared of all loose rock and rubble, and the sloped terrain had been leveled out. Looking across the stretch, it ran well over a hundred meters long and about five meters wide.
A row of charming leisure pavilions had been built along the space.
Each pavilion had a small pool inside, along with reclining chairs, and every one had its own distinct style — each with a beautiful name to match.
Names like Rose Spring, Clear Breeze Spring, and the like.
Chen Yuan counted them up — twelve pavilions in total.
"These are the private hot spring pools I designed. They’re on the smaller side, perfect for a group of three to five — great for families, couples, or a girls’ trip."
Wang Tao walked them through how each pool was intended to be used.
Tucked behind the main building and nestled at the base of the hillside, each pavilion was surrounded by flowers, greenery, and potted plants that screened the view from outside. The privacy was excellent.
For guests who preferred to avoid the crowds, this was the spot.
"Over this way is the water park."
Continuing along the back of the building past the twelve hot spring pavilions, they rounded to the other side, where another vast pool stretched out before them.
It wasn’t quite as big as the Tsunami Pool, but it had to be at least a thousand square meters.
Inside were all kinds of attractions — a giant funnel ride, a King Cobra slide, and plenty of other thrilling options, plus a whole lineup of water slides.
There were spiral chutes, slides carved into the hillside, and a playground slide built right in the middle of the water. All told, there were easily a dozen different rides — more than enough to keep people entertained.
"The water supply and treatment systems are the same as the Tsunami Pool. Water quality across every single pool is completely taken care of — no worries there."
Wang Tao said it with total confidence.
Chen Yuan believed him on that. Wang Tao was nothing if not reliable.
The outdoor facilities were genuinely impressive — from the Tsunami Pool to the private hot spring pavilions out back, and now the water park on this side. The whole package was remarkably complete.
And with two separate water systems, everything could stay open even into autumn.
Beyond the attractions themselves, the surrounding environment had been beautifully done as well — lush shade trees everywhere, ornamental plants and greenery that put you in a good mood just looking at them.
"Alright, let’s head inside."
Done with the outdoor tour, Wang Tao led the group toward the building. There were entrances on all sides, but they opted for the main front doors.
Standing out front and looking up, the building was nothing short of imposing — over ten meters tall, with a large sign at the top built from the same materials used at the other location.
The name, though, was different.
The other spot said Chen Yuan Fishing Ground. This one read Chen Yuan Hot Springs — but both carried the same fishing ground logo.
Just inside the entrance stood two stone lions, impressively fierce. A number of fishing regulars were gathered around them, snapping photos and debating whether they were carved from jade.
They stepped through the main doors.
The interior was vast — five meters of ceiling height, over a thousand square meters of floor space, and an overwhelming sense of openness.
The first thing you hit upon entering was an open-plan reception desk. Eventually it would handle both online and walk-in ticketing — guests with reservations could scan in here, while those without could buy on the spot.
Past the front desk on the left was a competition-standard swimming pool, about two meters deep, with eight proper lanes and starting blocks at one end.
Across from the pool were rows of lounge chairs for when guests needed a break.
"It’s a regulation pool with a built-in timing system — guests can race each other and see how fast they really are."
Wang Tao ran through the pool’s features.
A proper lap pool with a timer was a solid draw — plenty of people would jump at the chance to clock their personal best. And if a group of friends showed up together, those marked lanes would practically dare them into a race.
"These two pools next to it are a heated pool and a cold spring."
Right beside the lap pool sat two more large pools, stocked with all kinds of inflatables and small paddle boats for guests to mess around in.
"Over on the right is the hot spring section, with hydrotherapy features."
Turning to the right, the first thing you saw was a large hot spring pool — even bigger than the competition pool — with multiple hydrotherapy stations arranged around it.
The buoyancy and the pressurized water jets worked together to knead away muscle tension and melt the fatigue right out of your body.
Flanking the main hot spring pool, along the row nearest the front desk, were four smaller pools — each twenty to thirty square meters — all hot spring pools with their own hydrotherapy settings.
At the far end of that row was a large foot spa pool. After a good soak or an afternoon of splashing around, guests could come here and let the water work on their feet.
"There are two rows of fitness equipment over here — guests can warm up before getting in the water to avoid cramps and that sort of thing."
Continuing right past the main hot spring pool, a stretch of exercise bikes and other gym equipment lined the space, with lounge chairs scattered among them where guests could rest.
"And over here, there are four private steam rooms that guests can use."
Past the exercise equipment, tucked against the far right wall, four private steam rooms had been fitted out.
That wrapped up the full tour of Hot Spring Paradise.
Wang Tao turned to Chen Yuan and asked if there was anything he thought needed changing.
"One Tsunami Pool, one Paradise Pool, one foot spa pool, three swimming pools, five hot spring pools, four steam rooms, plus twelve private pools out back."
Chen Yuan was thoroughly satisfied.
Whether you looked at the sheer variety, the mix of hot spring and swimming options, the attractions on offer, or the supporting facilities — it was all top-notch. Even with several thousand guests on the floor at once, it wouldn’t feel cramped.
There was just one thing.
"Are all the pools open to everyone?"
Chen Yuan looked over at Wang Tao.
"Ha, I knew you’d bring that up. That’s exactly why Miss Chen and I talked it over — those twelve pavilions out back are perfectly suited to be reserved as VIP-only."
It was something Wang Tao and Chen Li had both thought about during the planning stage.
The back area was naturally secluded, making it ideal for a members-only zone. And since each pool was small — just right for three to five people — it worked perfectly for that kind of private access.
The number of guests it could accommodate at any given time was limited, but that was fine — it’d be more than enough for members and the friends or family they brought along.
"Works for me."
Chen Yuan thought it over for a moment, then nodded his approval.
"We’re not done with the ground floor yet."
Wang Tao led the group down the corridor behind the front desk, past the pools, to where an elevator connected directly to the upper floors.
They didn’t take it yet.
Further along were the changing rooms and lockers, then the restrooms, then the shower facilities, and finally a passage that opened directly onto the back of the building.
That covered everything on the ground floor.
With the first floor done, they took the elevator up to the second.
The entire level was one enormous open space — no shops, no partitions, just a wide-open floor. Stepping out of the elevator, the first thing you noticed was a pool roughly the size of a swimming pool.
"There’s a pool up here too?"
Chen Yuan looked surprised. Wasn’t the second floor supposed to be the children’s area? What was a pool doing up here?
"It’s a kids’ splash pool. The plan is to put real fish and toy fish in there and let the little ones try to catch them. We’ll run games up here too — the whole thing is going to be called Nezha Stirs the Sea."
Chen Li stepped in to explain.
Wang Tao just shrugged at Chen Yuan — the children’s area was Chen Li’s project, and the full plan wasn’t finalized yet, so there wasn’t much more to show at this point.
There wasn’t a lot to see just yet.
The rest would need to be worked out between Chen Yuan and Liang Chunping, coordinated with Wang Tao, and then finished once the equipment arrived and the final fit-out was done.
As for the third floor.
That was the dining level.
Stepping off the elevator, you could already see tables and chairs laid out across the space — but nothing like a canteen. The furniture itself was a cut above.
The seating came in all styles, paired with carefully chosen décor that struck a balance between refined elegance and grand scale — the kind of atmosphere you’d expect from an upscale restaurant.
"Boss Chen, the row across the way is reserved for you. All the set meals and bento boxes can be centralized there — the kitchen out back is huge, plenty of room to work with."
Beyond the main dining hall, the third floor also had an L-shaped row of retail units running from the left side of the elevator, turning the corner, and ending at the diagonal opposite.
The row directly across was earmarked for the set meal and bento operation.
That part had already been decided, so Wang Tao had gone ahead and sorted it out.
"Yuan, so this is where we’ll be cooking from now on?"
Tang Ying spotted the already-fitted-out unit across the way and turned to Chen Yuan with a lit-up expression. The moment he confirmed it, she immediately grabbed the aunties and dragged them over for a look.
This was going to be their workspace.
They finally had a proper kitchen to call their own.
"Holy moly, little bro — this fit-out is insane. This isn’t a restaurant, this is a five-star hotel."
Zhang Hui took in the third-floor dining area — the décor, the overall vibe, the sheer level of luxury — and couldn’t stop exclaiming.
The retail units weren’t even finished yet, and it had already blown past every expectation. There was no way they could have pulled off something this stunning on their own.
"Who knows — this might be the decision that changes everything for us."
Hong Qiang and Wei Wei were equally floored.
Honestly, they’d gone in with a try-it-and-see mindset. The deal was profit-sharing, so there was no upfront rent or renovation cost — all they were really putting in was manpower.
Trading labor for opportunity was about as low-risk as an investment could get.
Even if it flopped, the losses would be minimal — but the upside could be massive.
Now, standing here looking at the scale of Hot Spring Paradise and the quality of the dining area’s fit-out, they both had the same feeling — this place might just exceed every expectation they’d had.
"Boss Chen, can we pick our own units?"
Zhu Feng was the most wound up of all, barely able to contain himself at the thought of choosing his very first shop.
"Boss Chen, here’s what I’m thinking — the first unit should go to a tea and drinks shop. It’s right by the elevator, so it’s convenient whether guests are heading up or needing a delivery."
Wang Tao laid out his plan.
"Fine by me."
Yang Yangyang was the first to sign off.
A drinks shop wasn’t like a restaurant with fixed meal times — it could be busy at any hour. Being right next to the elevator made sense for both foot traffic and deliveries. It also worked well for running orders out to anglers at the small pond and Old Pond.
"Same here. The dining floor is massive — location really doesn’t matter much when there’s this much space to go around."
Zhang Hui followed suit.
Hong Qiang and Wei Wei had no objections either.
Zhu Feng, needless to say, was over the moon.
Just having his very first shop was enough to make his head spin — and Boss Chen had already lined him up for two: one for grilled meat and one for barbecue.
"Alright, since nobody’s got any issues, that’s settled. For the rest of the fit-out and equipment installation, get it sorted with my sister and Wang Tao — nail it down as fast as possible and get it done."
Once the remaining work was wrapped up, they’d be ready to open.
