Chapter 584: Chapter 584: Coming to Pick You Up from the Mountain

Theo Rhodes thought about it seriously before finally compromising. "Alright then, I’ll head back first. Master, if you need anything, just let me know. I can assist you remotely."

Claire Sinclair nodded. "I’m sure I will. We’ll head down the mountain today. We happen to pass the airport on the way back, so you can slip out of the car then. I’ll cover for you."

"Okay." Theo Rhodes was reluctant to leave, but to ensure the truth came to light as soon as possible, he had no choice but to do as his master said.

They each returned to their rooms to pack, then went to the front desk together to check out.

But when they tried to check out, they ran into trouble.

A cleaning lady claimed the TV in Theo Rhodes’s room was broken and insisted they pay for it before they would be allowed to check out.

Claire Sinclair and Theo Rhodes knew at once that the hotel’s baseless claim was just a ploy to delay them. They wanted to stop them from leaving the mountain so quickly, afraid they would return to Aethelgard.

Theo Rhodes hadn’t even touched the TV in his room, so naturally, he refused to pay. Although it wasn’t much money, who would let someone extort them for no reason?

They argued back and forth for about twenty minutes.

With no other choice, Claire Sinclair decided to call the police. Just as she picked up her phone, a sudden commotion erupted at the hotel entrance.

She looked toward the commotion and saw a familiar figure striding in confidently, flanked by a group of imposing bodyguards in black suits.

The temperature in the lobby seemed to plummet. Everyone stared, transfixed, at the group—especially the man in the lead, who radiated the awe-inspiring presence of a king.

A thrill shot through Claire Sinclair. She hurried over and threw herself into his arms, wrapping them tightly around his waist. "Mr. Quincy, what are you suddenly doing here?"

Adrian Quincy gently patted her back. "I came to take you down the mountain."

"Huh?" Claire Sinclair was pleasantly surprised, almost flustered. Looking up to meet his gaze, she asked, "How did you..."

Adrian Quincy lowered his head slightly and gave her a peck on the lips. His large hand intertwined with hers. "I missed you."

’Could you please not flirt with me in front of so many people? I’m going to blush!’

Feeling the warmth from his palm, Claire Sinclair’s heart swelled with happiness.

Theo Rhodes and Landon Winston walked over and spoke at the same time:

"Brother Quincy."

"Young Master Quincy."

Brother Quincy?

Claire Sinclair looked at Theo Rhodes in surprise.

Theo Rhodes grinned. "Master, I’ve actually known Brother Quincy since we were kids. Oh, wait, does that mean I should call him Grandmaster now? But that sounds a little weird..."

Claire Sinclair rolled her eyes at him. "Call him whatever you want."

Theo Rhodes smiled. "Then I’ll just call him Grandmaster."

Claire Sinclair ignored him and looked up at her husband. "Mr. Quincy, when are you heading back?"

Adrian Quincy said in a deep voice, "I’ll go back after I’ve cleaned up this place. You can stay and keep me company."

"Okay! Where will we stay then?"

"It’s inconvenient to get things done on the mountain. We’ll go back to the city."

"What about me? What about me?" Theo Rhodes interjected.

Claire Sinclair looked back at him. "You can stay, but you’re not allowed to go out without my permission."

"Oh..." Theo Rhodes fell silent in an instant.

With The Great Demon King Quincy on the scene, the hotel staff wouldn’t dare give Claire Sinclair any more trouble. On the contrary, they practically fell over themselves to respectfully see the group off.

The moment they were in the car, The Great Demon King Quincy couldn’t wait to have his darling wife to himself. He studied her face intently, worried she might have had a hard time while she was away.

After looking for a long time, he began to savor the moment.

...

Two hours later, the group returned to the city. Adrian Quincy never stayed in cheap hotels; that had always been his style.

Claire Sinclair switched to a five-star hotel. It was no secret that she would naturally be staying in the same room as him—a presidential suite, in fact.
