Chapter 725: Chapter 725: Bro, Your Wife Gave Birth

At her words, Ethan Kingsley’s grip on her hair slackened almost instinctively. He warned in a low voice, "If you want to die, you’ll die by my hand and my hand alone. Don’t try anything stupid, understand?"

"Then try me. I know it’s easier for a pregnant woman to die than for a normal person."

"You dare!"

Ivy Tanner clenched her fist, ready to slam it into her own stomach.

Suddenly, Ethan Kingsley grabbed her shoulders, shoved her against the wall, and leaned in until their faces were less than a centimeter apart. He snarled, "I’m only stopping you this once. Next time, I won’t interfere."

With that, he released her shoulders, turned, and left without a backward glance.

Ivy Tanner slumped to the floor, all her strength gone, as if her soul had suddenly left her body.

’Did he come here just to fight with me?’

’Pathetic.’

Her gaze fell upon a pair of scissors and a sewing kit on the table—the one Granny used to mend clothes.

Ivy Tanner scrambled to her feet, grabbed the scissors, and began to wildly hack off her long hair.

Strands of hair drifted to the floor like dust.

Severed threads of love, never to be reconnected.

Outside the delivery room, Claire Sinclair sat anxiously on a chair, her eyes glued to the door. Her heart was in her throat.

Adrian Quincy held her hand tightly, comforting her every so often. "Claire, don’t worry. The baby will be out soon."

Helen Wallace, sitting nearby, gave the two of them a sidelong glance. "Adrian," she said testily, "the way you’re talking, people are going to think *Claire’s* the one giving birth."

In reality, the one in labor was Faye Dean, who had been in the delivery room for over two hours at this point.

Faye Dean had been screaming loudly when she first went in, but now it was quiet. There was no sound of a baby crying, either.

Claire Sinclair was beside herself with anxiety; her heart felt like it was about to give out.

Suddenly, a baby’s cry echoed from the delivery room, a sound as beautiful as music from the heavens.

"The baby’s here!" Claire Sinclair exclaimed.

Helen Wallace was just as thrilled. She quickly grabbed her phone to call Frank Morgan. "Frank, your wife had the baby... I’m not sure, the doctor hasn’t come out yet."

She had barely finished speaking when a doctor emerged from the delivery room to give them the report. "At 8:39 AM, Faye Dean gave natural birth to a baby boy, weighing six pounds, thirteen ounces!"

"Did you hear that?" Helen Wallace relayed into her phone. "Frank, congratulations! Your wife had a son! Quick, you need to pick a name!"

"Evan? Are you sure you want a name that sounds so... dreamy?"

"Timothy doesn’t sound good."

"Felix sounds like a cat’s name."

"Too many people are named Austin."

"And Simon sounds too much like a girl’s name!"

Listening to Frank’s hopelessly clueless name suggestions, Helen Wallace finally couldn’t take it anymore and offered her own idea.

"Frank, just let me name him," she proposed. "How about Harvey? It has the same spirit as ’Evan,’ which you suggested. And see, the ’vey’ at the end sounds a bit like ’Faye’—a tribute to his mom. You can’t have a boy’s name ending with that ’ay’ sound, so ’vey’ makes it masculine."

Helen Wallace chuckled. "Alright, deal. I’ll run it by Faye in a bit. If she likes it too, his name will be Harvey Morgan."

After hanging up, Helen told Claire Sinclair and Adrian Quincy about the name. The couple both agreed that Harvey Morgan was a nice name.

After a short wait, Faye Dean finally emerged, pushed in a wheelchair by a nurse. She was holding the baby. Her face was pale and drawn, but she was in good spirits.

Claire Sinclair rushed over excitedly. "Faye, are you okay?"

"I’m alright," Faye Dean said, gesturing with mock disgust at the wrinkled infant in her arms. "But look at my son. He’s ugly as sin."
