Incubus Lord: Lust Harem System
Chapter 319: The Silent Stalker
Chapter 319: Chapter 319: The Silent Stalker
The projection array shimmered and reformed, displaying the next matchup.
Match 10: Shadow Moon Pavilion vs. Iron Claw Sect.
The crowd erupted with renewed energy, the tension from Kai’s massacre finally breaking as the spectators leaned forward, eager for a different kind of fight.
Damon didn’t move.
He sat in the Azure Dragon dugout, his golden eyes fixed on the arena floor, but his focus was elsewhere.
His Incubus Celestial Eyes were already active, scanning the shadows.
The two teams entered the arena.
Shadow Moon Pavilion moved first, their figures blurring into the darkness, vanishing from sight.
The Iron Claw Sect responded by slamming their gauntlets together, sending shockwaves through the stone that forced the assassins to reveal themselves.
It was a good match.
Fast. Technical. Entertaining.
The assassins leaped between shadows, their daggers flashing in the artificial light. The Iron Claw fighters countered with heavy strikes, their gauntlets leaving craters in the stone floor.
The crowd cheered.
But Damon barely registered the fight.
His eyes moved across the stadium tunnels, his vision piercing through the stone and wood, through the barriers and the formations, through the very fabric of the arena itself.
And he saw them. Cloaked figures, motionless in the maintenance tunnels’ deep shadows.
They stood like statues, their robes merging with the darkness.
They didn’t move. They didn’t watch the match.
Their eyes were fixed on the exits, waiting for the chaos to begin.
They stood still, their eyes fixed on the exits, their hands hidden beneath their robes.
Damon zoomed in, his Incubus Celestial Eyes piercing through the dim light of the maintenance tunnels, past the shadows that clung to the walls like living things.
On their necks.
The unmistakable sunburst-eclipse tattoos, dark ink curling around their throats like a brand of damnation.
The same mark he’d seen on the assassins that attacked the Sky Cutter.
The same mark Lumina had described with such cold, controlled fear in her voice.
The Hounds of Eclipse.
Damon’s expression didn’t change. He kept watching the match, his face calm, his posture relaxed, his hands resting loosely on his knees.
But inside, his mind was already working, gears turning, strategies forming and discarding themselves in rapid succession.
They’re already inside.
He counted them.
Seven. No, eight. No, twelve.
Twelve cloaked figures, positioned like a net, waiting for the chaos to begin.
Twelve cloaked figures positioned near the main exits, the VIP tunnel, and the royal box.
Waiting.
Damon reached into his pocket and touched the communication ring.
A gentle pulse of spiritual energy traveled through the link, reaching Lumina in the Azure Dragon dugout a few meters away.
She turned slightly, her disguised face unreadable. Her posture remained perfectly still, a statue carved from discipline.
Then her voice resonated in his mind, transmitted through the ring. The connection was intimate, as if she were whispering beside his ear.
"What is it?" she asked, her mental tone guarded but sharply attentive.
Damon’s reply came through the same channel, his mental voice calm but urgent.
"The cult is already inside the colosseum staff. Twelve of them, near the exits and the VIP tunnel. They are waiting for the Day 3 chaos."
A brief silence stretched between their minds, filled only by the ambient noise of the roaring crowd and the clash of weapons on the arena floor below.
Then Lumina’s mental voice cut through again, her tone shifting from cautious to razor-sharp, the steel of her royal training surfacing clearly.
"Describe them."
"Cloaked figures. Sunburst-eclipse tattoos on their necks. Twelve of them, positioned near the exits and the VIP tunnel. They’re not watching the match. They’re watching the crowd."
Another pause.
Longer this time.
When Lumina’s voice returned, it was colder.
"That’s them. The Hounds of Eclipse. The kidnapping division."
Damon’s eyes narrowed slightly, the only crack in his calm facade.
"Kidnapping division?"
"They don’t kill. They capture. They take people alive, transport them to the cult’s main base for... experiments. For sacrifices. For blood rituals."
Damon’s jaw tightened, his golden eyes hardening into cold amber.
"They hunted you."
"For ten years," she confirmed, her mental voice strained.
Lumina’s voice was steady now, the tremor gone, replaced by something harder.
Something resolved.
"But I’m not that scared girl anymore. I’m not Lark. I’m Lumina Solaris. And I’m ready to face them."
Damon allowed himself a small, proud smile, his golden eyes softening.
"That’s my princess," he murmured, pride lacing his voice.
On the arena floor, the match continued as Shadow Moon claimed victory.
Shadow Moon Pavilion’s captain, a slender woman with dark hair and silver eyes, leaped from shadow to shadow, her twin daggers leaving trails of darkness behind her.
She moved like smoke, untouchable, unpredictable.
The Iron Claw Sect’s captain, a massive man with arms thicker than tree trunks, tracked her movements with his eyes, his gauntlets glowing with earth energy.
Damon watched as the Shadow Moon captain lunged forward, her blade a whisper of death.
The Iron Claw captain swung his massive fist—she vanished into the shadows.
He stumbled, off-balance, and she reappeared behind him, twin daggers kissing his throat.
The crowd erupted into thunderous cheers. The Iron Claw captain, his face pale, surrendered without a word.
Shadow Moon Pavilion claimed a narrow 7-5 victory, advancing to the Round of 16.
The announcer’s voice echoed through the arena.
"Shadow Moon Pavilion advances! What a display of stealth and precision, ladies and gentlemen!"
The crowd cheered, the tension finally broken.
But Damon’s eyes were still on the tunnels.
The cloaked figures were gone.
They had melted back into the shadows, their positions empty, their presence vanished as if they had never been there at all.
Damon’s golden eyes tracked their movements, his Incubus Celestial Eyes following their retreating forms through the stone walls, through the maintenance tunnels, through the underground passages.
They were regrouping.
They were waiting.
Damon turned to Lumina, his voice low, barely audible over the crowd’s roar.
"They know we’re here."
Lumina nodded, her disguised face pale but determined.
"Then we give them a show they won’t forget."
