Chapter 94: Chapter 94: The 4th Form of the Yifeng Sword Technique

After all, Yun Xi’s Cultivation was only at Golden Core Realm Tier Four, while her current opponents were Tier Seven and Tier Eight. In a straightforward fight, let alone one against two, her chances of winning even one-on-one weren’t very high.

The Yifeng Sword Technique appeared as graceful as a gentleman, but in truth, it concealed profound secrets and struck when least expected.

It wasn’t that the technique lacked Sword Qi and Sword Gang, but that they were merely difficult to perceive. If an opponent’s mastery of the Sword Dao surpassed the user’s, they would still be able to discern the truth.

Unfortunately, the Sword Dao of the two opponents before Yun Xi was not on par with hers.

Anyone who had never seen the Yifeng Sword Technique before was likely to make the mistake of underestimating their opponent upon first encountering it.

And so, with just the first strike, these two Golden Core Realm cultivators—at least three tiers of Cultivation above Yun Xi—fell prey to the technique.

They were wounded by her blade before they even knew how she had done it.

After wounding her enemies with a single strike, Yun Xi did not pause, immediately unleashing the second technique.

Back on Ten Thousand Beasts Mountain, Chu Fan had practiced with her, personally sparring with her to improve her skills. While her combat experience wasn’t exactly extensive, she was no tactical novice.

The second technique of the Yifeng Sword Technique, Wandering Veil Lamp and Boxed Sword, concealed its Sword Qi even more deeply than the first.

Her two Golden Core Realm Late Stage opponents now knew her Sword Techniques were unnervingly unpredictable. They braced themselves, even pulling back to create some distance from Yun Xi.

But Yun Xi’s technique was not yet spent, and they were wounded by her Sword Qi once again.

Fear began to show on their faces.

Having landed two successful strikes, Yun Xi’s confidence naturally surged.

As their morale fell and hers rose, Yun Xi found herself holding her own in the ensuing battle, despite facing two opponents of a higher Realm.

High in the sky, Chu Fan’s success in battle was even more spectacular than Yun Xi’s.

After all, Chu Fan’s combat experience was far richer than Yun Xi’s, and he was much more proficient with the Yifeng Sword Technique.

Thanks to the Miaolian Celestial Stabilization Technique, he was nearly invincible among those of the same Realm, so it mattered little that the three Nascent Soul Realm experts were all at least a tier above him.

With his first strike, Chu Fan cut down the sole Golden Core Realm cultivator among the four.

Furthermore, one of the three Nascent Soul Realm experts failed to dodge in time, and the Sword Qi left a gash on his left arm so deep the bone was visible.

The expressions of all three Nascent Soul Realm experts changed. Elder Chen of the Chaixian Sect even felt a wave of delayed fear; thankfully, he hadn’t let Chu Fan’s provocations bait him into attacking before the others arrived.

As Chu Fan unleashed another technique, the three Nascent Soul Realm experts no longer dared to hold back, each one playing their trump card.

The Pavilion Master of Hanxuan Pavilion even flicked his left sleeve as he swung his saber.

Chu Fan’s Spiritual Power was extraordinary. Even though the poison he released was colorless and odorless, Chu Fan still sensed something was off from the faint disturbance in the air.

However, Chu Fan’s attempt to dodge was a fraction too late.

He still inhaled a wisp of it.

"Despicable!" Chu Fan roared, abruptly switching to the fourth technique of the Yifeng Sword Technique.

"A Sword’s Duty, Delivered in a Stride!"

This was the only one of the Yifeng Sword Technique’s nine techniques whose speed could rival the Dream-Breaking Meteor Sword.

And his target was none other than the Pavilion Master of Hanxuan Pavilion.

People who resorted to sneak attacks and even poison were despised by the vast majority in the Cultivation Realm, to say nothing of Chu Fan himself.

Thus, Chu Fan’s only thought was, ’Even if I’m poisoned, I have to kill the one who poisoned me before it takes effect. Best if I can kill the other two as well.’

Therefore, this strike from Chu Fan was one into which he poured everything he had ever learned, a strike with his full, unreserved power.

There was still no Sword Qi, but the lightning-fast technique whistled through the air, and the hum of the blade was like a tiger’s roar.

The moment the Pavilion Master of Hanxuan Pavilion heard the whistle of the blade, he reacted. As his body spun, he desperately unleashed his single most powerful Saber Technique.

His Saber Aura formed a curtain that seemed to slow the very raindrops falling from the sky.

The other two elders also reacted, attempting to intercept Chu Fan.

And their own techniques were by no means slow.

But by the time they reacted, it was already too late.

Chu Fan’s sword was still more than ten feet away from the Pavilion Master of Hanxuan Pavilion, but the Sword Qi had already pierced the space between his eyebrows and exploded inside his skull.

The Pavilion Master’s head exploded from the inside out. He didn’t even have time to scream as his corpse fell, accompanied by a shower of red and white.

"You villain! You’ve really done it now! Pavilion Master Qiao was the biological son of a Supreme Elder of the Red Blood Mansion!" Elder Chen of the Chaixian Sect exclaimed, his voice a mix of terror and fury.

"If I kill the rest of you, who will know it was me?" Chu Fan retorted, feigning disdain despite his surprise.

’Elder Chen’s words revealed a shocking amount of information.’

’Just how many of the second and third-rate Sects in the Eastern Domain have ties to the Red Blood Mansion?’

’To think the Red Blood Mansion was such a behemoth... The Six Sects and Eight Gates have all underestimated them!’

The moment Chu Fan finished speaking, Elder Chen’s heart was already set on retreat.

He launched what looked like a devastating strike, making his ally believe he was about to use a finishing move. The other man attacked with all his might to support the feint.

But just as his ally moved to cover him, Elder Chen’s technique faltered. He dropped low and turned to flee.

"Chaotic Times, Dream of Changing Objects and Shifting Stars!"

But Chu Fan’s Spiritual Power was far greater than theirs. The instant Elder Chen’s intentions changed, Chu Fan had already seen through his plan.

So he decisively unleashed the Fourth Technique of the Dream-Breaking Meteor Sword.

This was a technique of feints and reality. To call it a simple misdirection would be inaccurate, as he could switch between the feint and the real attack at will.

After all, the Sword Intent of the Dream-Breaking Meteor Sword could be summed up in a single word: fast.

So fast it was over in an instant.

One moment, they saw his Sword Aura, like a blazing sun, smashing toward the other Nascent Soul Realm cultivator. The next, Chu Fan’s sword was already behind Elder Chen.

He hadn’t even sensed the killing intent from Chu Fan’s surprise attack from behind.

The sword pierced through his back. As Elder Chen let out a wretched scream, Chu Fan slapped the pommel, driving the Long Sword completely through the elder’s body. In a flash, Chu Fan appeared in front of Elder Chen and grabbed the blade.

The normally rust-spotted Juntian Sword was now slick with blood. If Chu Fan had glanced at the Juntian Sword, he would have noticed the blood being rapidly devoured by the blade.

Even on Elder Chen’s falling corpse, not a single drop of blood dripped from the gaping wound in his chest.

The moment the Juntian Sword had pierced his chest, it had voraciously drained every last drop of blood from Elder Chen’s body.

It had all happened so fast that when Elder Chen screamed, the other man was still desperately fending off the sun-like Sword Aura smashing toward him.

He reacted to Elder Chen’s scream, but another Sword Aura, just as bright as a blazing sun, smashed toward him again.

"Die!"

Chu Fan roared. With a flick of his wrist, though the tip of his sword was still seven feet from the old man, he had already sheathed it.

But the sun-like Sword Aura, carrying an immense pressure, struck true. No matter how the elder swung his own Long Sword, the Sword Aura solidly punched dozens of holes straight through his chest.

Until the moment he died, his eyes were wide, staring at Chu Fan in utter disbelief.

’Why am I dying? How could this happen?’

Below, Yun Xi’s battle had reached a stalemate. They had exchanged dozens of blows, but neither side could gain an advantage over the other.

For the two Golden Core Realm Late Stage cultivators, it was a humiliation; but for Yun Xi, it was a glorious accomplishment.

After killing the three men, Chu Fan glanced down at the situation below and couldn’t help but feel pleasantly surprised by Yun Xi’s performance.

However, Yun Xi was also struggling to hold on; after all, the gap in their Realms was significant.

So, he decisively intervened. He didn’t use any complex Sword Technique, just the "Point" and "Thrust" from the Basic Thirteen Techniques.

Two streams of Sword Qi struck the two men’s right shoulder blades unimpeded, instantly neutralizing their ability to fight.
