Chapter 612: Chapter 611: The Battle for General Manager

Let Claire Ellison file a case against them for intentionally trying to seize the Ellison Family’s assets.

The car accident from back then, the witnesses and evidence are gone, so we can’t file a case for that, but there is evidence to sue Jared Grant and Joy Clayton for fraud.

Poor Jared Grant, admitted to the hospital with an illness, only to wake up and find himself paralyzed. At his age, he’s already halfway into the grave, and now he has lawsuits on his hands.

This lawsuit is actually quite troublesome, with all sorts of evidence gathering. In the end, it’s likely that nothing will be achieved.

But South Grant’s goal is not to actually fight them in court, but to use the lawsuit to stall them and then make his move to clear them out of the company.

However, before South Grant could make his move, Fiona Grant acquired the shares from Rhiannon Grant and Henry Grant, becoming the second largest shareholder under South Grant.

Given Fiona Grant’s significant contributions in the skincare field over the years, many people support her.

Although South Grant now holds the position of Executive Director, any significant decisions still require discussion and agreement from the company’s executives and board of directors.

For instance, the appointment of the General Manager of the skincare company is currently under discussion.

South Grant looked at the directors present, all sitting with impassive expressions.

At this moment, someone said, "I think it would be more suitable for Fiona to take the position of General Manager for the skincare company. She has achieved impressive results in the past two years and has been the manager of the R&D department. There’s no one more suitable than her."

South Grant nodded, acknowledging the truth in those words.

Fiona Grant had indeed performed admirably over the past two years, and it would be difficult to find a more suitable candidate.

However, they had overlooked someone.

"I actually think that Fiona is doing an excellent job as the manager of the R&D department. If she becomes the General Manager, she might be distracted by other responsibilities, which would hinder the R&D efforts and result in a loss."

South Grant spoke calmly, without any apparent intent against Fiona Grant.

But Fiona Grant realized that South Grant was trying to prevent her from becoming the General Manager.

"However, there’s no one else besides Fiona who can take on the role of General Manager." Those supporting Fiona said.

In their view, South Grant was merely lucky, having the support of Chester Lynch and Simon White, without contributing anything to the company.

But Fiona Grant was different; she had the formulas and technology. They saw more potential in Fiona Grant.

South Grant smiled faintly, then said:

"Everyone might have forgotten about someone: Mr. White. In terms of seniority and experience, who is more qualified than Mr. White? Who has more contributions?"

Everyone was stunned when South Grant mentioned Simon White.

Given Simon White’s age, he should have retired already. Why would he want to get involved?

Fiona Grant then smiled and said, "Indeed, Mr. White is the most suitable choice. He has the most qualifications, experience, and contributions. With Mr. White in the company, we all have a reliable leader. But seeing Mr. White at such an advanced age, still worrying about the company, I truly feel reluctant. Mr. White, are you 65 or 66 this year?"

Fiona Grant’s words directly pointed out that Simon White’s age made him unfit to manage the company anymore.

Simon White had not wanted to get involved in the company affairs over the past two years, but after learning the truth that day, he was particularly furious.

What angered him even more was that Ian Grant’s daughter, Fiona Grant, was so close to the child that Joy Clayton bore. Had she forgotten how Joy Clayton had harmed Claire Ellison?
