Limited Time Marriage: Nice to Meet You Mr. Foster
Chapter 636 - 635: Three Years
Chapter 636: Chapter 635: Three Years
"How long has it been?" Stella Foster asked heavily.
"Almost three years," Nathan Foster replied honestly.
When Stella Foster heard it had been almost three years, she truly became furious.
"Three years? How old was she three years ago?" Stella’s voice rose significantly.
She didn’t know Nathan Foster well; back when she left, Nathan was just a child.
As for what kind of person he had become, Stella didn’t understand at all.
Nathan Foster understood Stella’s anger at this moment and began to speak:
"I’ve never done anything to harm her, and up till now, I’ve not overstepped any boundaries."
Nathan spoke candidly, without the slightest mental burden.
Stella looked at him, his demeanor didn’t seem like he was lying.
Upon hearing this, Stella’s anger slightly subsided.
"What’s going on between you two now? Who else knows?" Stella asked.
She had just returned, knowing nothing, but she was clear about one thing.
If this matter were exposed, the world wouldn’t know Nathan wasn’t a child of the Foster Family, and in such matters, it’s always the woman who gets blamed.
At that time, South Grant would be condemned by all, and thinking of that scene made Stella feel heartache.
"Those who know about this are all close to me, it won’t get leaked, rest assured."
Stella heard Nathan use the formal "you," which made her look somewhat embarrassed.
This messy relationship was giving her a headache just thinking about it.
"Let me think this over carefully," Stella didn’t want to discuss this with Nathan any further, "I’ll stay here for a while, I hope you’ll... understand what I mean, won’t you?"
Though Stella didn’t say it explicitly, Nathan understood.
"I understand, I’ll stay in the study."
Stella’s intention was clear: Nathan wasn’t allowed to share a room with South Grant anymore.
Outside, the sun climbed higher, Stella looked weary, and Nathan pointed to the room next to South Grant’s on the second floor.
"That room over there is the one I had prepared in advance, you... can rest there."
Stella coughed twice, nodded, and went back to rest.
Nathan watched her go upstairs, then his gaze fell on the door to South Grant’s room, a slight smile appeared on his lips.
One day, he’d hold her hand and face everyone together.
South Grant had slept a whole day and only woke up in the evening, instinctively reaching out, but finding no one there.
She got up and pulled open the curtains, the sunset’s glow streamed in, slightly piercing her eyes, and she rubbed them.
Suddenly remembering she and Nathan went to pick up Stella together, South hurriedly put on her slippers and rushed out.
She saw Stella sitting downstairs, quietly sitting there, seemingly lost in thought.
South went downstairs and came to stand by Stella.
"Mom."
Stella raised her head to look at her, unsure of what she was thinking, regarded her, then sighed.
South was puzzled, why was she sighing out of the blue?
"Mom, what’s wrong?"
Just as South asked, Nathan came in from outside.
He held a bag of things, snacks that South usually loved.
After entering, he placed the snacks in front of South, fluffing her hair as he asked:
"When did you wake up?"
Stella was sitting across the way, coughing once, and South shot him a glare.
Clueless guy, they said to avoid suspicion, what’s wrong with his brain?
South didn’t know Nathan had already been honest with Stella and now smiled as she explained to Stella:
"My uncle often brings snacks back for me."
Stella raised her head, her eyes complex as she glanced at her.
