Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure

Chapter 1188 - 1189: Want to Marry Him

  • Next Chapter

Carter Lockwood suddenly kissed her, kissing Anna Morgan until she felt a surge of joy from deep within, and she responded earnestly.

When the intense "kiss scene" ended, Anna, her face flushed, leaned into Carter’s embrace. She looked at him, saw those eyes filled with only her, and smiled softly.

"Even though I know you’re hiding something from me, it doesn’t stop me from loving you."

"Carter, no matter what you’ve lied about, you must love me forever!"

Carter, listening to Anna, tightened his embrace.

He didn’t know how to navigate the road ahead!

But he would definitely love Anna, forever and eternally!

After complaining to Miles Morgan, Ivy Preston saw Riley Preston approaching and wasn’t too pleased.

"Where did you run off to?"

They had gone shopping together. Riley said she needed to use the restroom, so Ivy waited outside. Then she saw Zachary Morgan and followed him without waiting for Riley to come out.

"Sis!"

In contrast to Ivy’s downcast mood, Riley was in high spirits.

"I was looking for you for ages, where did you go?"

"I just saw him again."

"Oh!"

Ivy replied indifferently, started walking forward, and tossed her bag for Riley to hold.

Ivy was quite annoyed with Riley trailing behind her.

If Riley hadn’t claimed to go to the restroom, and had accompanied her to meet Zachary, she might not have had to endure Anna’s temper.

Thinking of this, Ivy quickened her pace.

"Sis, what’s wrong with you?"

Riley noticed something was off with Ivy and hurriedly asked, catching up to her.

"It’s nothing."

Upon hearing Riley’s question, Ivy’s eyes reddened, "I ran into someone I didn’t want to see."

"Anna?"

Riley guessed immediately. Who else besides Anna could upset Ivy so much!

"What did she do to you? Did she bully you again, didn’t she?"

Riley said angrily, feeling both afraid and resentful towards Anna.

If only she were better at fighting, she wouldn’t allow Anna to bully her sister time and again.

"It’s nothing now." Ivy slowed her pace and asked.

"You mentioned earlier, who did you bump into again?"

She turned her head to ask Riley.

Riley’s face flushed instantly, and she replied softly, "It’s the one I saw at the banquet last time."

"The one you recognized."

"Sis, could you ask your brother-in-law to introduce us?"

Riley asked bashfully, having never met such a handsome man before.

Earlier, they crossed paths, and his gaze on her was so gentle.

Could it be he was interested in her too?

Riley couldn’t help but daydream, losing herself in endless fantasies upon liking someone.

"Oh."

Ivy replied, knowing exactly who Riley had a crush on.

She hadn’t mentioned this to Miles, realizing that the man Riley liked seemed out of her league.

"Sis, I really like him."

When they arrived at The Morgan Family’s residence, Riley held onto Ivy’s arm, expressing once more.

Throughout the journey, she was lost in a dream she wove for herself, unable to extricate herself.

If she could meet him, surely he would like her too.

"Yara." Ivy stopped in her tracks, genuinely not wanting to break Riley’s heart.

"This man isn’t for you."

"Why?"

Riley responded, puzzled, "You promised to help me last time."

"Sis, you promised."

Ivy hesitated, thinking of how to gently explain to Riley the fact that she wasn’t a match for the man.

"Yara..."

Just as she spoke, voices emerged from within The Monroe Residence, causing her to stop mid-sentence and turn to look at the people coming out of the main hall.
