Cecilia Vaughn shivered as she spoke and suddenly dove into Adrian Law’s arms.

"Cecilia, you initiated this."

Cecilia’s eyes widened in surprise. She hadn’t expected that at a time like this, Adrian would still have the mood to think about that sort of thing.

Could it be that all men are so shameless... cough cough.

...

Cecilia was both embarrassed and annoyed, quickly retreating. She didn’t know what she had pressed, but the room lights suddenly brightened.

The surroundings were as bright as daylight.

Illuminating the man’s handsome face, Cecilia looked down and saw Adrian’s shirt buttons loosely fastened.

Because of their earlier entanglement, Adrian’s clothes were somewhat disheveled, and his originally sharp short hair had become a bit tousled, making him especially charming.

...

"Do I look good?"

"You look good... No, you look terrible."

Cecilia blurted out the first two words in a daze, then quickly glared at Adrian once she realized what she had said.

"Why are you so narcissistic? Do you think being handsome means you can do whatever you want?"

"Being handsome indeed isn’t a pass for doing whatever you want."

Adrian shook his head.

"But, Cecilia, you can’t refuse me or hide from me."

"I’m tired..."

Cecilia rolled her eyes, feeling like performing a dead body act right there.

Life already feels devoid of goals, might as well sleep forever.

...

Adrian noticed Cecilia’s awkwardness, reaching out to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear.

"It’s okay, you just rest, I’ll make you comfortable..."

Pfft...

Cecilia pondered, what kind of comfort? Surely not that she would be so weak tomorrow that she’d have no strength left to go to the police station?

"I’m warning you, don’t act crazy, we still have serious things to do tomorrow."

"The thing to do now is the most important business."

The man tugged at his tie with conviction, his gaze deep, and then slowly undid his buttons one by one.

...

Looking at the slim and beautiful male figure in front of her, Cecilia shamefully wanted to turn off the lights.

It would be better if everything were dim.

At this moment of mutual gaze, coupled with full visibility, Cecilia felt utterly embarrassed.

"Cecilia, your face is so hot, hmm? Are you running a fever?"

The man chuckled softly, reaching out to brush against Cecilia’s cheek.

The man’s palm seemed hotter than her face, and Cecilia’s eyelashes trembled fiercely as she felt as if Adrian’s hand was going to burn her.

From Adrian’s eyes, Cecilia saw herself in a disheveled state.

Even worse than Adrian’s current situation.

And even more... alluring.

The girl in the man’s eyes, cheeks flushed, lips obviously reddened from being kissed, was actually her?

Her almond eyes like misty water, making one want to embrace her and shower her with love.

...

Cecilia was momentarily dazed, and before she realized it, she was tightly embraced by the man.

"Cecilia, you seem like a demon who feeds on human bone and blood."

You’re the demon, your whole family are demons.

Uh, Cecilia had just grumbled in her heart, and then quickly realized.

Doesn’t this mean she insulted herself too?

Wait a minute, isn’t ’demon’ somewhat a neutral term?

More inclined to... neutral.

...

Cecilia was lost in thought for a moment, then the man bit her collarbone.

"Don’t zone out."

Adrian spoke, thoughtfully observing the alluring curves of Cecilia’s chest as she moved.

"Cecilia, here..."

"I forbid you to speak!"

Being stared at her most private side by Adrian, Cecilia felt utterly ashamed, probably due to overly conservative upbringing since young; even after being married to Adrian for so long, she still couldn’t be open about it.

"Alright, I won’t speak, I’ll just feel directly..."

The man’s voice was husky, his charming tone infused with a gentle laugh. Cecilia hadn’t expected Adrian to speak so roguishly.

She wanted to continue glaring at Adrian, but he pinned her hand down, cornering her against the wall, and kissed her deeply.

Their lips met.

Cecilia felt the man’s intense hormonal breath continuously washing over, Adrian’s narrow eyes like intoxicating aged wine.

"Cecilia, clearly you feel it too, right?"

Cecilia knew she shouldn’t have responded just now; her lips gently moved as if to say something, but she ended up resigning herself, blinking her eyes and grabbing the man’s arm, instinctively standing on tiptoe to embrace Adrian tenderly.

Oh well... the things at the police station tomorrow can be postponed again.

After all, she’s not a suspect at the station; coming to Zentaria to assist is already benevolence, and if they find no leads for the real culprit, they can’t blame her!

...

The next day, Cecilia felt the pain of letting go.

Sure enough, her arms and legs felt like they had been run over by a car.

Despite her being tossed around yesterday and saying no more, the man’s "no next time" meant an even longer duration this time...

Cecilia covered her face and sighed deeply, thinking about the hot weather here, not like Stellerton in Veridia where she could wear a thick coat to cover all those messy marks on her body.

How was she supposed to deal with these?

All Adrian’s fault!

No matter how embarrassed and annoyed she felt inwardly, Cecilia could only resign herself and stand up.

Who could she blame?

Just blame her lack of exercise.

TAT

...

Cecilia silently cursed Adrian for being too unrestrained, and just as she got up and put on her clothes, she saw Adrian’s smiling face.

"Awake?"

"What else? Am I sleepwalking?"

Cecilia replied irritably, looking at herself in the mirror.

Wuwuwu, she even had dark circles.

All Adrian’s fault!

Add one more crime, write them all down!

...

"Alright, wash up and let’s eat, the breakfast here is quite unique, why not try it?"

Adrian’s charming smile was like spring rain, yet Cecilia felt bewitched, filled with anger, but the mention of good food made her want to surrender.

So spineless!

Cecilia internally despised herself, but after breakfast, she indeed felt much more refreshed.

"All your fault, I can’t even wear short sleeves now."

The girl complained, but Adrian picked up a box of foundation next to her hand.

"You can use this to cover, right?"

"??? Aren’t you a straight guy? How do you know this?"

"Fool, can’t I learn by watching you use cover-up?"

The man helplessly curved his lips and then resignedly took the box of cosmetics, gently applying it to Cecilia’s arm to cover the red marks.

"Now you can’t see them."

Cecilia was amazed inside but teased him on the surface.

"Still your fault, otherwise why go through such trouble."
