Chapter 375: Western Celestial King

"Alright, I’m on my way." Chu Feng hung up the phone and headed directly for the Western Celestial King’s encampment.

Along the way, many people who saw Chu Feng all respectfully addressed him as Venerable Chu.

After all, Chu Feng wasn’t just a Venerable. The key was his age—that was the reason everyone admired him so much.

"Halt!" Upon arriving at the Western Celestial King’s post, a soldier directly blocked Chu Feng’s path.

"Tell your Celestial King that I need to see him about something," Chu Feng said.

"Who are you? What business do you have with our Celestial King!" the two soldiers standing guard at the gate asked.

They had come with the Western Celestial King and were merely soldiers assigned to guard duty. As such, they hardly ever moved from their posts and naturally had no idea who Chu Feng was.

If they had stepped outside the encampment, they would have actually seen posters introducing Chu Feng.

"Venerable Hall of the Southern Region, Chu Feng! I need to see your Celestial King," Chu Feng stated.

"You’re a Venerable?" Both soldiers looked at Chu Feng, their faces filled with astonishment.

"Yes. Hurry and inform him. I’ll wait here," Chu Feng said.

With Chu Feng’s current status and strength, seeing the Western Celestial King wasn’t difficult. After all, his power was far greater than that of the so-called Western Celestial King.

It was just that the Western Celestial King was an official power and represented the government.

"Alright, please wait a moment. I’ll go make the call right away." One of them walked directly to a nearby guard post and started dialing the phone.

Inside the Western Celestial King’s camp, the Celestial King himself was speaking with his subordinates. He was surprised when he received the news.

’That Chu Feng is the youngest Martial Arts Venerable in the Martial Arts Realm right now. What could he want with me?’ The Western Celestial King was a bit puzzled; he didn’t know Chu Feng at all.

"Celestial King, speak of the devil, isn’t this? We were just talking about going to find him, and now he’s come to our door," an old man to the side said with a smile. The man wore a military uniform, and the rank insignia on his shoulders was not low.

In the entire military of the Great Xia Country, likely no more than a dozen people had reached his level.

"Then let’s go. We’ll go see this so-called youngest Martial Arts Venerable together." The Western Celestial King stood up and spoke to his subordinates.

The Western Celestial King would have never imagined that Chu Feng hadn’t come to see him, but was looking for someone else.

Chu Feng wasn’t the type to try and curry favor just because he was the Western Celestial King. That was impossible.

After waiting at the gate for a few minutes, Chu Feng heard a burst of footsteps. A group of more than ten people walked out, led by the Western Celestial King himself.

"Venerable Chu, your visit today is truly an unexpected surprise. Please, come inside to talk!"

"Chu Feng greets the Western Celestial King and all the esteemed leaders." Chu Feng clasped his fist and said with a smile.

"Greetings, Venerable Chu." All of the Western Celestial King’s subordinates clasped their fists in return.

"May I ask, Venerable Chu, what brings you to my Western Heaven encampment?" The Western Celestial King didn’t beat around the bush and asked directly.

He also introduced himself to Chu Feng; his name was Zhao Pengcheng.

"Oh, nothing major. My place is pretty close to yours, Western Celestial King, so I thought I’d drop by and get to know you," Chu Feng said with a smile.

"Hahaha, Venerable Chu, if you hadn’t come, I was planning on visiting you myself. Come, let’s go inside and talk," the Western Celestial King said with a laugh.

In truth, after learning about Chu Feng, he had already developed the desire to recruit him.

Besides, the Chu Family, to which Chu Feng belonged, was located right within his, the Western Celestial King’s, territory.

If he could pull Chu Feng over to his side, it would be a massive boost for his Western Region.

Although the Western Region was in a state of constant conflict, what it lacked most were young, promising Cultivators.

That was why the main purpose for the Four Celestial Kings attending this so-called Martial Arts Grand Ceremony was to recruit Martial Cultivators to serve them.

Once in the room, the group sat down. The Western Celestial King poured Chu Feng a cup of tea and started to chat, "Venerable Chu, I’ve heard that the Sect Leader of the Celestial Sword Sect is your master?"

"Yes, the Sect Leader of the Celestial Sword Sect is my master," Chu Feng confirmed.

"In that case, would you be interested in coming to work in my Western Region? I can offer you a position," the Western Celestial King asked with a smile.

"Join the military as an officer? I’ve never done that. I did think about enlisting when I was younger, but I couldn’t due to family reasons," Chu Feng said.

After all, basically every boy in the Great Xia Country has a dream of joining the army.

"Oh? And why didn’t you go?" the Western Celestial King asked curiously.

"Because I needed to cover my younger brother’s tuition, I started working early to lessen the burden on my parents," Chu Feng said.

"Then you are truly a filial son." After hearing this, the Western Celestial King nodded and said with great satisfaction.

"Brother, if you want to come, the offer is always open. I guarantee you’ll be very satisfied," the Western Celestial King said.

Chu Feng was a hot commodity right now. Not yet thirty, he had already reached the Human Martial Arts Peak Realm. Furthermore, the fact that Xue Wujian of the Snow Sword Sect had been defeated by his hand was already common knowledge.

With that kind of strength, if placed in the military, he would be a top-level leader.
