My Mother-in-Law Gifted Me a Building
Chapter 438: Ending Soon
Chu Feng hadn’t really thought much about all that.
No matter how strong he was or how high his status was, he was still just an ordinary, normal person. What was wrong with making breakfast for his wife?
They were husband and wife, after all.
“Do you really think that?” Su Miaoke asked.
“Isn’t that obvious? Of course I mean it. I’m not the kind of guy who abandons his wife once he gets some status. I’ll cook for you whenever I have the time,” Chu Feng said with a smile.
“You’re the best, honey,” Su Miaoke said with a smile, picking up her bowl of congee.
In just over ten minutes, Su Miaoke had eaten every last bite of breakfast, not wasting a single thing.
She didn’t want to waste the breakfast Chu Feng had worked so hard and carefully to prepare for her.
“Slow down. You’re eating so fast. Were you that hungry? Are you full?” Chu Feng asked.
“I’m full. Actually, I’m stuffed. Oh, right, honey, are you heading to the tournament grounds later?” Su Miaoke asked.
“Yeah, I should go take a look. I want to see what these foreigners are like. After all, today’s the last day of the Martial Arts Grand Ceremony. It’ll all be over after today,” Chu Feng said.
“Then we can go home. Let’s head back tonight after it’s over,” Su Miaoke said. She had been here for too long and was eager to leave. Every day was so boring.
At first, she thought the Great Snow Mountain was nice. She’d never seen such heavy snow and was curious and delighted by the environment.
But after so long, it just felt dull and boring. The scenery was monotonous, and all she did every day was watch people fight. It wasn’t interesting at all.
“Alright. We’ll head back tonight after it’s over,” Chu Feng said with a smile.
“By the way, what about Brother Jiang? He’s still here, right?” Chu Feng asked again.
“He is, but I don’t know what he’s been up to lately. I’ve barely seen him,” Su Miaoke said.
“Okay, make sure to tell him. We’ll go back together. It’s dangerous for him to be here alone,” Chu Feng said.
“Yeah. This place is full of Martial Cultivators, and they all kill without batting an eye. He’s just a normal person, so it’s definitely dangerous. It’ll be trouble if someone targets him,” Su Miaoke said with a nod.
In fact, Jiang Tao had met a “master” a few days ago. This master wasn’t very famous and likely belonged to a minor sect. The key thing was that his fortune-telling skills had made Jiang Tao extremely curious.
After a few days of interaction, Jiang Tao had actually become his disciple.
And the man, seeing how wealthy Jiang Tao was, had accepted him.
So, the guy had been spending every day with that master, learning things like Astrology and Mystic Arts.
“Want to come with me and check it out?” Chu Feng asked.
“Okay. It’s safer to stick with you, honey. Otherwise, if something were to happen, you might lose your wife,” Su Miaoke said with a laugh.
“Don’t worry. As long as I’m here, nothing will happen to you,” Chu Feng said with a smile.
“Alright, I’ll call Brother Jiang first and tell him we’re leaving tonight,” Su Miaoke said.
“Okay, go ahead,” Chu Feng nodded.
She made the call as they walked.
However, to Chu Feng’s surprise, the battle between the Blood Blade Manor and the Wudang Sect was still ongoing. It had already been several days.
They had probably taken breaks in between.
“Looks like neither side will rest until the other is dead. Once the tournament is over, a full-blown melee will probably break out. That’s when those guys from Spirit Sword Valley will likely make a move on me,” Chu Feng said.
“Honey, Senior Sister Bai Han will definitely help you, too. Don’t worry too much,” Su Miaoke said, comforting him.
“Hahaha, silly girl. I’m not worried about that. Anyone who dares to provoke me should be prepared to be cut down!” Chu Feng said with a laugh.
He didn’t go looking for trouble, but he wouldn’t let others provoke him either.
If anyone dared to do so, Chu Feng would make them regret it—their heads would roll.
Besides, as he’d said before, he was going to clean house after the tournament.
Chu Feng would not let the Snow Sword Sect off the hook. This time, he would settle their matter once and for all.
When this was over, Chu Feng would pay them a personal visit to resolve it.
The Snow Sword Sect was far too arrogant. If they weren’t eradicated, they would be a cancer to the Celestial Sword Sect. Only by eliminating them could the Celestial Sword Sect know peace.
When Chu Feng reached the edge of the battle stage, he could see that it was covered in cracks, sword marks, and craters.
The fighting between the two sides had been so fierce that the stage could barely hold up.
Battles were also raging on some of the other stages.
The pairs who took the stage to fight all shared deep-seated hatred for one another. Theirs were battles to the death.
They couldn’t rest until their opponent was dead.
Once midnight struck and the rules were no longer binding, the fighting would become truly ferocious.
“Venerable Chu Feng!” At that moment, someone spotted Chu Feng and greeted him with cupped fists.
