My Mother-in-Law Gifted Me a Building
Chapter 470: Going Home
"That won’t do. You’ve been so busy lately; you must be exhausted. You should get some proper rest. From now on, you can worry less about business matters. No one will dare to cause trouble for your company. You should focus more of your energy on Cultivation," Chu Feng said with a smile.
"Young Master, even if you hadn’t said so, I would have done just that," Wang Hong said with a smile. "After all, you’ve shaken the entire Martial Arts Realm this time. Who would dare cause trouble for the Chu Family now?"
"That’s right. Wang Hong, you should come to the family grounds to cultivate more often when you’re free. At the very least, it will strengthen your body and keep you in excellent physical condition," said Chu Tianshan.
"Yes, Ancestor, I was thinking the same thing. By the way, Ancestor, I’m planning to acquire all the bars, hotels, and tourism businesses in Zhongnan City. We can use them to give the family’s disciples some real-world experience. What do you think?" Wang Hong asked.
"I don’t concern myself with these matters," Chu Tianshan said with a smile. "As long as it benefits the Chu Family, feel free to do it. You have my full support."
He was no longer particularly concerned with such worldly affairs.
With the resources they now possessed, the Chu Family was a behemoth, even without any secular business dealings.
The Snow Sword Sect’s hoard was truly substantial.
Afterward, the group went straight to the nearest grand hotel and feasted extravagantly.
On Great Snow Mountain, even with staff to attend to their needs, the food and drink simply couldn’t compare to a five-star hotel.
Once they had eaten and drunk their fill, Wang Hong arranged for a car to take Chu Feng and Su Miaoke back to Fuhe Village.
As the car turned onto the main road of Fuhe Village, Su Miaoke rolled down the window. Taking in the scent of the outside air, her face broke into a radiant smile.
She was overjoyed. She was finally back in the place she had longed for. Breathing in the familiar air and gazing at the scenery, she felt an indescribable sense of peace and contentment.
"Ah, nothing beats the air back home," Su Miaoke remarked with a sigh of contentment. "Just one breath and I feel so much more relaxed." Her spirits began to lift.
"You’re right. It’s still snowing frequently on Great Snow Mountain, but here it’s already summer. They’re completely different. The scenery here is even better—full of birdsong and fragrant flowers. It’s wonderful," Chu Feng said, also smiling as he looked out the window.
Just then, Su Miaoke’s expression suddenly changed, and she began to retch.
Seeing this, Chu Feng quickly rubbed her back and asked with concern, "What’s wrong? Are you carsick?"
The driver saw what was happening and immediately slowed the car down.
Su Miaoke shook her head. "I’m fine. I think I’m just exhausted from everything lately. I’ll be okay after some rest."
"Okay. Try to rest your eyes for a bit. We’ll be home soon," Chu Feng said.
"Maybe I’ve been slacking on my Cultivation lately, and my body has gotten weaker," Su Miaoke said.
Before long, the car arrived at Fuhe Village, and the driver departed.
When they got home, Chu Feng’s parents were chatting by the door.
"Xiao Feng, Miaoke, you’re back?" Chu Feng’s mother was overjoyed, spotting her son and daughter-in-law right away.
"Mom, Dad," Su Miaoke called out.
"Where have you two been? You were gone for more than a month," Chu Yunfeng asked, revealing his worry for his son and daughter-in-law.
"We took a trip to Great Snow Mountain," Su Miaoke said with a smile. "It was too cold there. It’s much better back home—so comfortable."
"You went that far just for a trip?" Chu Yunfeng asked.
"Yeah," Chu Feng nodded.
"You just got back from such a long journey; you must be exhausted. Go and get some rest," Chu Feng’s mother said to them.
After getting Su Miaoke settled, Chu Feng went to the back mountain alone.
He had built a base on the back mountain, specifically for performing Alchemy and refining Elixir Pills.
Even though he hadn’t been here in over a month, the place was as tranquil as ever. No one usually came this way, and people didn’t wander around here. Everyone knew this was Chu Family territory and wouldn’t cause any trouble.
’I probably won’t be able to stay more than a few days. I have to leave for the Southern Border soon,’ Chu Feng thought, sighing as he looked at the Alchemy Furnace before him.
’I’ll need to refine more Medicinal Liquids from now on,’ Chu Feng decided. ’After all, everyone is starting to practice Cultivation.’
His Medicinal Liquids were incredibly helpful for the early stages of a Martial Cultivator’s journey. With so many disciples in the Chu Family now cultivating, a large supply of these liquids would lead to a significant and obvious increase in the family’s overall strength.
Besides, Chu Feng no longer harbored much hatred for the Chu Family; the grudges of the past had long since been resolved.
Chu Feng then began to cultivate in the Cultivation Room, holding a Martial Cultivation Spirit Stone in each hand.
Cultivating in a specially constructed Cultivation Secret Chamber like this ensured that not too much Spiritual Qi would dissipate, which was a huge advantage for a Cultivator.
After all, with all the Spiritual Qi concentrated inside the Cultivation Secret Chamber, even a tiny amount of leakage was negligible. Overall, it allowed one to cultivate much faster.
When darkness fell, Chu Feng opened his eyes and headed back.
Cultivate at sunrise, return home for dinner at sunset.
