And now that they saw how he was handling these beasts, they all couldn’t help but gulp in fright.

Watching as random viewers joined his livestream only to leave moments later, he gritted his teeth and continued.

Kai was in his room with his legs crossed while scrolling through his phone.

They had been worried about Ray’s whereabouts, as he had suddenly disappeared before the sun had fully risen.

After asking Van to check up on him, they found out that he was enjoying a cup of coffee at a café. Hence, the handsome Legacy had returned to his room.

Surfing through the net, he stumbled upon a livestream that was generating viewers like crazy.

’Huh?’

Curiosity got the better of him as he lifted one hand and placed it beneath his head to relax properly before clicking on the livestream to see what was going on.

Then—

His eyes widened.

With each passing second, they grew wider at what he was seeing.

"What the fuck?!"

Jumping out of his bed, he instantly bolted toward the door.

Bursting through the hallway, he began screaming.

"Gu-Guys! GUYS! Come out now! All of you should come out and see what this dumbass of a friend is up to now!"

One by one, the doors began opening, with everybody’s brows raising in confusion.

Some of them looked sleepy, while Van had an annoyed look on his face, as he had been in the middle of a technological breakthrough before his concentration was destroyed.

The words died in Chloe’s throat as Kai lifted his phone and shoved it forward.

Still not understanding where this was going, they all stepped closer, and that was when they saw a horde of Ogres concentrating their attacks on one spot.

But for some reason, it looked as though they weren’t coordinated. They were constantly twisting and turning, swinging their weapons in different directions as if whatever they were attacking couldn’t be seen.

"I don’t get it," Caster spoke while lifting his brows toward the handsome Legacy.

"There! I saw a blur streak past just now!" Felix shouted.

Kai then lifted his hand toward the screen and fumbled around it for a moment before clicking on a button.

Soon, the clip began slowing down incredibly.

Until—

One by one,

Their eyes stretched wide as the video slowed down to a point where they could finally see what was causing the blur.

Silver hair.

A pair of daggers in his hands.

The Vanguard uniform.

And a furious look in his eyes.

It was Ray!

"....!!?"

"I knew it. I fucking knew it. That boy can never have a peaceful day, ever! Anywhere he goes, trouble follows like a shadow. He is a disaster magnet, and I called it just a while ago."

Van facepalmed himself exhaustedly.

Then, with a shake of his head, he turned around and began walking back toward his room.

"Huh? Why are you so laid back? There are hordes of beasts surrounding him!" Caster called out with a worried tone.

Van sighed as he reached his room door.

"I’m tired. Seriously, I am, of babysitting that fool. Besides, I doubt that something as weak as a horde of King-rank beasts can kill him.

If even an Emperor-ranked beast on the cusp of evolving, a Five-Spined Abberant, and worse of all, humanity couldn’t kill him, he will surely survive this. He always does."

Twisting his doorknob open, he pushed the door inward before slowly turning his head toward the others.

"...Seriously, you all should go get some rest and see as he comes back stronger, like he always does. As for me, I have an important invention that will shake the world to work on. I don’t want any disturbance."

Stepping inside, he looked at the group one more time.

"Thank you."

He closed the door shut, leaving the others dumbfounded.

"What now? Do we go help him or rest as Van suggested?" Caster asked while looking at the others.

"Meh... after the battle with the Five-Spined Abberant, I’m too lazy to right now." Felix yawned as he turned around and began walking toward his room.

Looking back at Kai to see if he would say anything, Caster waited.

"I just remembered that there’s a new skincare routine I need to try," the handsome Legacy spoke before turning away too.

"Tri—" Chloe was about calling out, only to see the Ice Queen retreating back to her room.

"He will be fine."

That was all she said before vanishing into her room.

Caster sighed tiredly.

"Well, I guess it’s settled then. He is on his own."
