Chapter 63: Rasengan Solves Everything

So, what would be the reaction of the Jonin around Konoha if Naruto were chosen to be the Hokage?

Truthfully, it would be full of suspicion and a strange relief.

Because in their eyes, Naruto was no longer just an orphan or a Fox Spirit.

He was a child of the Fourth Hokage who inherited the Fourth Hokage’s spirit and knowledge.

These Jonin knew the Fourth Hokage. To some, he was their senior. To others, he was their friend.

To some minority, he was their junior.

Regardless of how they viewed this situation, they had only wondered if Naruto truly had the knowledge of the Fourth Hokage.

But considering his strength, they couldn’t force him to reveal anything.

Naruto’s strength unlike anything they had seen before.

At least, they had seen the strength of the Fourth Hokage, Orochimaru, and the Third Hokage in the battlefields.

Even while fighting, one was just fast, the other had a big summon, while the final one used multiple elemental Jutsu.

Naruto had one thing.

Rasengan!

So, you are not dead?

Here comes a bigger Rasengan!

Is that not even enough?

How about you eat a Rasengan with Wind Nature Transformation?

That should be enough, right?

It’s funny how, despite knowing multiple Jutsu and still having his parents inside of him, Naruto still loved solving his problems with a Rasengan.

There was literally no problem that a Rasengan couldn’t solve.

If there was, then just solve the problem maker.

There were two moments that truly cemented Naruto’s strength in the minds of others.

First, when he used Rasengan to push the Tailed Beast Ball into the sky, causing the explosion to happen in the sky.

This saved the village. Many people saw the explosion, and they also heard Shukaku’s voice.

So, they knew it was Naruto who did this. That’s the same feat as Minato saving the village from the Tailed Beast Ball using Flying Thunder God Jutsu.

Another was a literal ball of billions of Wind Chakra Needles.

Unlike the previous one, it caused so much dust and destruction that they couldn’t see everything.

But those who did see it immediately started revealing it to others. Hyuga Clan was the culprit here.

Naruto literally threw a nuke inside his own village without harming anyone. In other words, he was now a perfect deterrent.

Putting Rasengan aside, his Kyubi Chakra Mode and Sage Mode were well-known among the Jonin circle.

His Kyubi Chakra Mode, especially, was very famous among the Jonin and the civilians. Some might still let their hatred take over them.

But for those who were saved by Naruto, many still considered him a savior.

With his Kyubi Chakra Mode, Naruto shone brighter than his father as a Yellow Flash.

It was also the first time they had seen such a Chakra from a Tailed Beast. Some of them were seniors who had faced off against the Jinchuriki.

Or at least, they had seen few from afar. The cold killing intent, corrosiveness that left the user paralyzed, and immense weight.

They had even felt Kyubi’s Chakra during the Night of the Nine Tails. It was just as chilling, if not more.

They couldn’t even describe the danger of that beast.

But now, its Chakra was so full of warmth.

This was so confusing yet reassuring.

They didn’t contribute the warmth of the Chakra to the Tailed Beast. They believed it was Minato who did it.

This was why the reaction of the Jonin was rather simple.

We might not trust Naruto, but we trust the Fourth Hokage.

Since Naruto was stronger than a Tailed Beast (with him suppressing and defeating Shukaku), he was fully capable of taking the role of Hokage.

The strongest might not become a Hokage, but the Hokage must be the strongest.

This was the common sense among the villagers.

It was also the reason why the Uchiha dared to launch a coup.

In their eyes, Hiruzen wasn’t as strong as Fugaku. He was old and incompetent, especially with his decision to sacrifice Hizashi.

If the Hokage was incompetent, others wouldn’t feel good about it.

But that’s exactly the fault of the Uchiha Clan.

Unlike others who stayed silent, they kept crying out about it.

Danzo was a major contributor to the destruction of the Uchiha Clan, but without their idea of a coup, the family wouldn’t have been exterminated.

So, one could say it was because Hiruzen was weak that the Uchiha dared to rebel, but it couldn’t be Hiruzen’s fault that they were exterminated.

Now, Konoha needed a Hokage who must be above others.

Naruto was such a person.

While he still lacked strength in his base form, Naruto was more than strong enough in his Kyubi Chakra Form.

If he only had Sage Mode, it would’ve been another thing. After all, entering Sage Mode needs time.

And who would be stupid enough to give him any time during a battle?

So, the major factor of his strength came from Kyubi Chakra Mode.

With his father’s reputation, his strength, and lack of a proper Hokage, the Jonin committee had no choice but to choose Naruto.

They could choose Kakashi, but he wasn’t as strong as Naruto.

They could choose Jiraiya, but he didn’t want that position.

They could choose Tsunade, but they didn’t want to offend the Daimyo.

At the same time, there were some doubts.

Would Naruto be a good Hokage?

What if he makes a mistake and they end up paying for it with their lives?

Hokage was responsible for all the ninjas in the entire village.

He was above the rest, so he needed to be politically acute.

So, could he?

That was a question in their mind.

While they were thinking about Naruto as a Hokage, Naruto was dreaming about his life after marrying Hinata.

Because Naruto felt absolutely blessed eating her food.

He couldn’t put down his chopsticks. More importantly, the urges of his older self were killing him.

Fortunately, as soon as he finished his meal, he was saved by a doorbell.
