Endless Leveling Done Right! - Chapter 613: Return To His Everyday Life

Chapter 613: Return To His Everyday Life
The dream was so beautiful that Alex wanted it to last longer. But in what felt like an instant, he found himself awoken by the morning sunlight. Latifa held him in her embrace, as if welcoming him to reality.
Her familiar scent and warmth slowly dispersed his lingering drowsiness.
“Finally awake?” Latifa murmured, prompting Alex to look up to her.
Alex smiled. “Yes. Good morning, Latifa.”
“Good morning, Alex.” Latifa planted a kiss on the top of his head. “I’m sorry about last night. I didn’t know you would react badly to our prank.”
Alex sighed before telling Latifa what had happened at the Shadow Forest. Lotte, Lumi, and Lulu were also inside the clubroom and quietly listened to the young man’s story.
After he finished his tale, they finally understood why Alex had seemed too weak to even lift his warhammer and shield.
Latifa felt even guiltier, realizing she had chosen the wrong time to play a prank on her beloved. She apologized to him a second time.
Lulu also climbed onto the bed and hugged Alex from behind. She also apologized for making him feel anxious.
If she had known about her reverse version’s actions, she wouldn’t have joined Latifa in pranking the young man.
“Still, you met Reverse Alex huh?” Latifa frowned. “And he was that strong?”
“Yes.” Alex nodded. “I think he’s around Rank 6 or Rank 7. The scariest part is… I felt him holding back when he attacked me.”
He felt much better now, but he still hadn’t fully recovered. If there was another emergency, he could fight but only for a short time.
As if to make up for what happened last night, the four beautiful foxkins gave the young man the VVIP treatment.
Even Lumi was quiet. She also personally served him his breakfast. Latifa and Lulu took turns spoon-feeding him. He played along graciously.
As for Lotte, she was very attentive and even offered Alex a massage later this afternoon if he felt like it.
Knowing how amazing Lotte’s massages were, Alex readily accepted her offer.
“Alright. We have classes today, so you need to freshen up,” Lulu said mischievously. “Do you want me to help you take a bath? I can do that if you want as my apology.”
For a brief moment, Alex thought of accepting her offer. But knowing how he had been smitten with Lulu back on Earth, he thought this offer was dangerous on many levels.
If not for memories of Reverse Lulu lingering in his mind, he would’ve struggled to maintain his composure.
Latifa’s fourth Alter had the power to manipulate reality.
As long as she was close enough, she could make anything happen. She could instantly break someone’s bones without touching them if they were less than ten meters away from her.
She could also cancel out any magical attacks as soon as they entered that range.
Players taking Latifa’s Route in the game usually formed a party with her and her other Alters.
They didn’t need any other characters to clear the story. That was how powerful their team was.
Lulu’s power, Reality Break, cost high mana to cast, but it was very effective in most situations.
Perhaps, this had been what made Lulu Alex’s favorite Alter. As a competitive gamer, he had been inevitably drawn to strong characters.
“Um, I’ll pass,” Alex said reluctantly.
Lulu simply flashed a cheek smile. The young man wondered if that was her way of telling him that the offer would remain available for the time being.
After promising to take an afternoon nap with Latifa, Alex was finally able to leave the clock tower. But he wasn’t alone.
Lumi had come with him, intending to walk him back to his dormitory.
Of course, Alex was more than happy to have the young lady by his side. He even took the initiative to hold her hand and refused to let go even when the other students gave him judgmental looks.
Alex could deny it all he wanted, but nearly all the First Years believed that Alex and Vaan were already a couple. The two of them showed up together way too often.
Of course, the First Years also noticed that Alex was very close to Lavinia and Evangeline as well.
But they never thought that Alex and Latifa had some kind of relationship that went beyond friendship. Although Lumi was technically not Latifa, people still thought that they were the same person since they shared the same face.
Alex was certain that before the day was over, another rumor would spread. Soon, people would be gossiping about him trying to seduce the sleeping beauty of the academy.
Still, Alex didn’t care. After that incident in the Shadow Forest, he understood that sticks and stones might break his bones, but words would never hurt him.
Unless those words were strong enough to hurt him, of course.
Lumi tried to keep a straight face, but her cheeks were already beet-red by the time they arrived at the dormitory’s gate. She wasn’t used to receiving so much attention from the other students. This was a first for her.
If not for the many students nearby, Alex might have teased her by giving her a kiss on the cheek. He understood this wasn’t the right place nor the right time for that.
He also noticed that Daisy the Doom Cow was just outside the building, waiting.
Naturally, the only creature she would wait for was Dim Dim, who seemed to have arrived at the dormitory earlier than Alex.
After bidding goodbye to Lumi, Alex greeted Daisy and entered the dormitory.
As soon as he entered the common room, he immediately saw a familiar little bun introducing Poppy and Dewdrop to the students of the dormitory.
Dim Dim was giving the two fairies a tour of the academy. One of their first stops was Ironheart Dormitory.
After that, the little bun intended to take Poppy and Dewdrop to the Musical Training Rooms so they could meet the other Fairies.
“Dim Dim!”
“”Good morning, Alex.”” Poppy and Dewdrop greeted him at the same time.
“Good morning to the three of you,” Alex replied, dipping his head slightly. “I’m sorry. I still have classes, so I’ll see you girls later, okay?”
“Okay.” Poppy nodded.
“See you later, Alex.” Dewdrop waved him goodbye.
Alex patted Dim Dim’s head and praised it for being a wonderful tour guide.
“Ahem!” The little bun raised its body proudly.
The young man then hurried to his room and opened it without knocking.
However, when Alex looked inside, he saw Chuck tied up on the floor, wearing a gag. Well, it might be more accurate to say that he was choking on the gag, but this wasn’t the time to split hairs.
Mary stood beside him, a whip in her hand.
Alex blinked once then twice before deciding that today he would be a normal person who didn’t want any trouble. He slowly closed the door and backed away, ignoring his roommate’s desperate attempts to get his attention.
“I guess I’ll be a little late today,” Alex muttered. Oddly enough, he found the cracks of Mary’s whip and Chuck’s cries of pain comforting. He had truly returned to his everyday life.
