“Uhh….”

Chuck groggily opened his eyes, only to find Mary’s beautiful sleeping face right next to him.

He suddenly remembered what had happened the night before.

Back in the clubroom, Alex had told him that he would stay in the clock tower for a sleepover with Latifa.

Princes Xenia and Mary were there when he said it. And for some reason, the two exchanged a glance with each other.

That night, the two invited Chuck to have dinner together with them.

Thinking he had no reason to refuse, Chuck accepted their offer.

And that was when he drank wine for the first time in his life. When they left the restaurant, his face was flushed, but he was still sober.

But Mary and Princess Xenia didn’t want to take chances, so they helped him return to his room safely.

They helped Chuck take off his clothes and shoes to make him feel comfortable. If the citizens were to see their princess taking off a man’s shoes and socks on her own volition, they might spit on that man’s face.

As for Mary, she helped remove Chuck’s clothes, and he didn’t resist her advances.

Soon, the three of them shared passionate kisses and cuddles.

Princess Xenia was a princess, so she couldn’t possibly lose her maidenhood before marriage.

But after Chuck had returned from his father’s duchy, he bared his feelings for her and Mary.

Since then, the three had always been together. And for the first time in a while, they slept together on one bed.

Yes. They only “slept” together.

Both ladies held onto his arms as they slept peacefully beside him.

He would take responsibility without fear.

After all, Princess Xenia was his fiancee.

The young man looked fondly at the princess until she finally opened her eyes. When she saw that Chuck was looking at her while she slept, she immediately covered his eyes with her hand.

This action made the young man chuckle.

“It’s too late for this, you know?” Chuck said, not bothering to pry the calloused hands that covered his face.

Princess Xenia’s hands weren’t soft like the pampered noble ladies of the Kingdom of Avalon.

It was rough and calloused from constantly wielding the sword.

She was very diligent and practiced her swordsmanship everyday without fail. Her motivation for doing this was so she could protect herself in times of danger.

Her other motivation was to protect her lover, who wasn’t the bravest person around.

But lately, Chuck had been showing a different kind of courage, which made her want to be with him more.

As a warrior, she wanted the person to stand by her side to be strong enough to protect her.

As much as she didn’t want to admit it, Chuck had already fulfilled those qualifications.

With the princess’s hand still covering his eyes, the young man moved closer toward the princess and planted a kiss on her forehead.

Although his eyes were covered, Chuck’s mana sensing abilities gave him a second line of vision that was made up of the energy around him.

Since Princess Xenia and Mary were powerful in their own right, their bodies faintly glowed even with his eyes covered.

“Good morning,” Chuck said after his kiss ended.

“Good morning,” Princess Xenia replied shyly as she pulled back her hand that covered Chuck’s face.

She then returned the kiss, which made Chuck smile in response.

He then turned around to kiss the still “sleeping” Mary on the cheek.

Of course, Mary was just pretending to be asleep. As a maid, she had to rise early everyday to tend to the princess’s everyday needs. However, she didn’t feel like leaving the bed for the time being.

After getting kissed, she “naturally” woke up and gave Chuck the “how could you take advantage of a sleeping girl?” gaze.

However, Chuck’s reply to her gaze was another kiss.

This time, it was a quick peck on the lips, which made Mary reluctantly forgive him.

“Princess, it’s time to go,” Mary said before standing up from the bed.

“Un.” Princess Xenia nodded before heading to the bathroom. Mary followed behind her, for it was her job to fix the princess’s hair.

Chuck watched them go while his hands rested on the places where the two ladies had slept on his bed.

It was still warm with their body heat, which made Chuck wish that they could have done more last night.

Unfortunately, there were things he could and couldn’t do for the time being.

Not long ago, he would have panicked at the mere thought of being this close to either of them.

But now?

He turned his head slightly toward the bathroom door, from where the faint sound of running water could be heard.

Now, those same feelings didn’t weigh him down anymore. Instead, it made his heart flutter because he felt that he could finally be himself.

In the past, he was very envious of Alex.

Because Alex had never been afraid to show his feelings to others. In return, his lovers would look at him with gazes filled with affection and trust.

It was something Chuck also wanted to experience for himself.

And now, he’d finally achieved what he wanted.

Knowing he couldn’t stay on his bed forever, Chuck also propped himself up.

He wasn’t wearing anything except for his underwear. His clothes were neatly folded on the table not far from him, which he believed was Mary’s doing.

As he thought about his future together with his three lovers, the door of the bathroom opened.

Princess Xenia came out wearing a dress. Her hair was properly fixed, and she looked like the presentable princess that she always was.

Mary had also changed from her nightdress to her maid uniform.

The two looked at Chuck with smiles on their faces because their lover was standing nearly practically naked.

Of course, it didn’t take them long to realize that something else was standing so early in the morning.

The two ladies exchanged glances before shaking their heads helplessly.

“It can’t be helped,” Mary said. “This is normal human physiology in the morning.”

And so, the two ladies moved to help their lover calm down a bit so that he could start his day the right way.

Half an hour later, the two finally left the room. Chuck was left lying on the bed, looking at the ceiling in a daze.

He felt drained, but also happy and satisfied.

A new day had once again started.

Chuck finally propped himself up from the bed and readied himself to face this new day with a smile on his face.

He felt so happy that his heart seemed to want to jump out of his chest and start dancing. However, he reigned himself in.

The young man then remembered the words of wisdom his roommate had mentioned to him a few days ago.

“The moment you choose to move forward, no matter how small the step, is when your story truly begins,” Alex said with a smirk. “And Chuck, you have the power to give your story a happy ending.”

Thinking about his roommate, who might also be spending a good morning with his own lover, Chuck felt that Alex was right.

Since he was the writer of his own story, he would do his best to give his three girlfriends the happiest of endings, which they rightfully deserved.
