Chapter 305: Chapter 305: The Reaper Aiden, Shocking Everyone
The ground trembled. Far off in the distance from Aiden and his group, a dark line suddenly appeared.
Take a closer look, and you’d see that this black line was nothing but thousands upon thousands of the Abyss creatures!
Like a tidal wave, the enemies surged forward, rushing straight at Aiden and the others.
Fewer than fifty warriors, even counting Aiden, stood no chance. Against such a massive horde, they were like a tiny fishing boat about to hit a giant tsunami—utterly helpless and desperate!
“Game over! Hahaha! I can’t believe you’ll survive this with that many enemies!” Cassian’s eyes lit up the moment he saw the sight.
Though this time he didn’t shout it out loud, his thoughts screamed the same thing.
Cassian quickly turned his head, looking at Nellie, Victor, Jenna, Rowan, and the others. A clear smirk curled the corners of his mouth.
“This is it. The Captain is really in trouble now,” Cici said, her voice tight with worry.
Victor and the others didn’t say a word. Their eyes were locked on Aiden.
Could a group of fewer than fifty win against thousands of enemies?
Or more accurately, how many of them would even survive?
Unlike the nervous Victor and the others, Aiden’s hands trembled slightly as he gazed at the overwhelming number of foes.
This wasn’t fear. It was pure excitement!
His heart pounded in his chest. He could feel every pore on his skin widening, craving the enemy’s blood.
Amidst the shaking earth, Aiden’s eyes grew brighter. He took a deep breath, suppressing the killing intent and excitement in his heart just enough to speak.
“Everyone, stick close to me! Remember, your only job is to finish off the enemies I injure!”
Every warrior immediately shouted back, “Yes, General!”
Knowing death was certain and having no other choice, their minds held only one thought: kill as many enemies as possible.
They stared fiercely at the oncoming horde, gripping their weapons with all their might.
Aiden took a slow breath and, without hesitation, charged straight into battle at the very front.
From a distance, it looked like a single arrow fired by Aiden and his warriors, shooting toward the countless the Abyss creatures.
But against such a massive army, that arrow looked incredibly small.
Under everyone’s gaze, Aiden and his warriors quickly closed the distance between them and the enemy.
“Demons, Skeletons, Orcs… there are so many the Abyss creatures I’ve never seen before,” Aiden muttered, his pupils widening as he scanned the oncoming ranks.
Without a moment’s hesitation, he cast his skill.
Boom!
Amidst the dense horde of the Abyss creatures, bolts of lightning suddenly erupted.
Immediately after, a beam of black light shot straight toward a Demon.
In the blink of an eye, that Demon’s body was pierced clean through. The black beam, packed with terrifying energy, didn’t slow down at all; it kept shooting forward, hitting the next enemy instantly.
Before the human warriors could even collide with the enemy, the battlefield was filled with the shrieks of dying foes.
“Bro, follow the General! We can win this!”
“Charge!”
“Kill! Kill!”
“Even if we die, we’ll wipe out these damned invaders! Not a single one left alive!”
Seeing Aiden’s power, the warriors’ morale skyrocketed. They began shouting and cheering loudly.
But suddenly, Aiden’s eyes narrowed. His gaze turned razor-sharp, locking onto the last Demon struck by the Shadow Death Beam.
“Something’s wrong… the damage isn’t right!” Aiden felt like something was missing. He looked down at the “the Abyssthe Flame Demon” staff in his hand and paused, confused.
“My attacks against Demons are doing the same damage as they do against other the Abyss creatures.”
“This shouldn’t happen. I still have the Bane of All Races ring!”
Aiden’s eyes suddenly cleared up, and his killing intent faded rapidly.
“Phew, this trial is no joke. I almost got completely lost in it,” Aiden thought to himself.
Ever since the general died, he felt like he’d forgotten something. His mind had been filled with only one obsession: kill every enemy that appeared.
Aiden sharply scanned his surroundings and noticed something strange. When the the Abyss creatures died, a tiny, almost invisible thread of red energy would drift into his body.
“Is it because of this red energy?” Aiden started to dig deeper into the mystery, but suddenly, a shrill whistle pierced the air beside him.
“General, look out!”
Aiden instinctively twisted his body.
Whoosh!
A giant arrow, as thick as a human arm, sliced through the air and slammed into the ground just inches from his clothes.
Immediately, blinding black light erupted from the ground.
Boom!
A massive explosion rocked the earth. Rocks, ripped up by the blast, flew in all directions, crashing hard against the human warriors nearby.
Thankfully, they were only slightly hurt. No one died.
Aiden quickly pinpointed the arrow’s origin. Standing there was a giant the Abyss creature, towering eight meters tall. It held a massive bow the size of a small car and stared at them with an incredibly cold gaze.
The creature’s skin was covered in red stitching, making it look like a grotesque monster assembled from parts.
Perched on its back was a small, grotesque figure with a sharp chin, pointed ears, and glowing green eyes. It looked like it was controlling the stitched-up monster.
“Dark Goblins! We have to take it out first, or it’ll control that war machine and cause us huge trouble!” a warrior shouted.
Before Aiden could give an order, another warrior turned and called out to him:
“General, I can take out the Dark Goblin!”
If it weren’t for the other warriors behind him, Aiden could have simply used Shadow Stealth to get close to the Goblin.
But now, if he left, the remaining warriors would be in grave danger.
“Go. I believe in you!” Aiden nodded.
In the next instant, a bright, brilliant smile spread across the warrior’s face. Even with his face covered in blood, his smile shone through.
“General, it’s an honor to fight beside you,” the warrior said, giving a thumbs-up and giving Aiden one last, deep look.
Seeing this, Aiden’s pupils widened. A bad feeling suddenly gripped his heart.
Suddenly, the warrior drove his long blade straight into his own stomach. Screaming loudly, he yelled:
“Kill!”
“Death Blood Explosion!”
Chhh!
Fresh red blood poured from the wound, drawn together by an invisible force of Strength. The blood swirled and formed a ghostly, crimson figure.
Meanwhile, the warrior’s body withered into a dry corpse in the blink of an eye.
Aiden instinctively opened his mouth to say something, but he could only watch helplessly as the blood-red figure shot past one the Abyss creature after another. Like lightning, it raced straight toward the Dark Goblin.
Boom!
A massive explosion rang out.
The giant stitched monster collapsed heavily. Aiden felt as though he was hearing things in his ears, like a terrible hallucination.
“Kill!”
“General, fighting by your side is my honor.”
“Ge-neral… please… kill a few more… just a few…”
“General…”
Was that a hallucination?
Was everything just part of this trial?
Were the warriors who chose to die fighting alongside us, refusing to retreat, all fake too?
Were the the Abyss creatures invading Earth fake as well?
What was the point of this trial?
Was he supposed to stay awake… just stay awake?
A question after question raced through Aiden’s mind.
Once again, he remembered the White City and the NamelessReclasser, the man who had given him a thumbs-up right before his own death.
Finally, the hallucinations faded into silence.
“I wait for no one but to slaughter enemies alongside you all!”
“I will lead the charge! If I retreat even one step, you are free to cut off my head!”
Even in this unreal trial, these were his own words, spoken from his own heart.
Aiden closed his eyes, then snapped them open again.
His eyes, filled with red veins, stared ahead like the gaze of the Grim Reaper—cold and filled with killing intent.
“Real or fake… you invade Earth, so you deserve to die!”
With his power growing, Aiden’s bond with this world was deepening.
From the small The White City, he had walked all the way to the Great Shaw Empire, until he stood under the gaze of the global audience.
Along this journey, he had met many people. And the things he cared about… had grown more than he ever expected.
He could never just watch the Earth get invaded by the Abyss creatures and do nothing.
So, let’s fight with all we’ve got!
Aiden moved like the sharpest arrow in the world. No matter how many enemies stood in his way, he couldn’t be stopped.
Powerful skills, wide-reaching and devastating, kept appearing one after another. They dealt terrifying damage to the enemy, delivering fatal blows.
Even the Abyss creatures with high health that somehow survived had to face Aiden’s insane Strength stat, plus the warriors trailing right behind him.
Boom!
Chhh!
Explosions echoed constantly. The screams of dying the Abyss creatures filled the battlefield.
At this moment, Aiden had become a reaper swinging a scythe, harvesting enemy lives non-stop.
Besides his massive damage output, Aiden’s recovery was shocking too. Even if hit by an enemy, his health bounced back instantly.
The the Abyssthe Flame Demon staff in his hand wasn’t just for casting spells. He used it to crush skulls.
Blood and brains splattered all over him. He looked like he had just walked out of a pool of blood, radiating an incredibly terrifying presence.
Right now, the talented players watching the trial, along with Graham and Cassian, all stared with wide eyes. They were completely shocked by this god-like figure of death: Aiden.
