Chapter 306: Chapter 306: Are Graham’s words coming true? Will they lose?
“This… this…” Rowan swallowed hard, completely at a loss for words.
Aiden’s actions were beyond anything any genius player could imagine.
Those the Abyss creatures, which looked so strong and numerous, were now nothing more than helpless lambs in Aiden’s hands.
The arrow formed by Aiden and over forty warriors moved quickly through the horde. Wherever they went, a pile of enemy bodies grew.
“Damn it, is this a Magic Apprentice? This is the Grim Reaper!” another genius player whispered in shock.
Instantly, many geniuses nodded in agreement.
There was no way a Magic Apprentice could easily crush enemies with a staff.
On the entire Earth, only Aiden, a Magic Apprentice, could have such insane Strength stats.
“There’s no way to compare with Aiden. His skill power, magic recovery speed, Strength stats, even his life recovery… everything is faster than a Shield Guard like me!”
“Insane! Truly insane. If it were me, I’d be dead already!”
“Killing ten enemies in a battle makes you a Hero. Killing fifty makes you a Berserker. Killing over a hundred makes you a Soldier King. But Aiden… he’s a God of War!”
“Only now do I realize that Aiden didn’t show his full power during the previous Global Reclasser Exchange Tournament.”
“Exactly. The tournament rules held him back. A guy like him was simply born for the battlefield!”
“Look at Cassian! His face is a mess! Haha.”
Cassian took a deep breath and forced his facial muscles to stay still, trying to hide his shock and disbelief.
“Incredible… way too incredible. It seems Aiden has no weaknesses?” Cassian thought to himself.
He was arrogant, yes, but he had good eyes. As a student of The Flame God Ignis, his training had far surpassed that of other Mythic Rank Reclassers.
But the more he thought about it, the more uncomfortable he felt.
Because by now, Cassian realized that Aiden might actually pass the Strongest Killing Intent Veteran Trial!
What does that even mean?
Before Aiden, only Bella, The Flame God Ignis, and Kenneth had ever passed the Strongest Killing Intent Veteran Trial.
“If Aiden can pass too… does that mean, as he grows stronger, he could eventually reach my teacher’s level?” Cassian took a deep breath, unable to hide his surprise.
Just then, Graham suddenly moved quickly toward him.
“Did your teacher ever tell you anything about the Strongest Killing Intent Veteran Trial?” Graham asked rapidly.
Cassian’s eyes widened slightly. He caught on to Graham’s plan immediately and spoke directly:
“You want to help Aiden pass the trial?”
“Give it up. It’s unlikely. This is the Strongest Killing Intent Veteran Trial; it’s not simple. Aiden might just…”
Graham cut him off immediately.
“If Aiden passes, he gets a Killing Intent Seed. It’s a huge benefit. And once his soul strengthens, that seed could help him comprehend the Killing Force of Laws.”
“In that case, humanity gains another true powerhouse.”
Hearing this, a flicker of hesitation passed through Cassian’s eyes.
With a look of regret, he shook his head. “I’m sorry. I don’t know much about the Strongest Killing Intent Veteran Trial either. I can’t help Aiden.”
“Whether he passes or not depends on how long he can last.”
Graham took a deep breath, frowned, and spoke again: “Cassian, you know what’s most important for Earth right now.”
“If you can tell me more about the trial, I’ll apologize to Aiden on your behalf, and I’ll promise to help you find other fragments of the mysterious treasure map.”
When Graham first saw Aiden and Cassian clashing, he just watched from the sidelines and didn’t plan to get involved.
But after learning how much Bella valued Aiden, his attitude had changed.
By now, his change was even greater. He wanted to actively give Aiden every possible chance to pass the trial.
Of course, if it were any other genius player instead of Aiden, asking Graham to go this far would have been impossible.
Hearing this, Cassian’s eyes went wide with shock. “You really have that much faith in Aiden?”
Graham nodded. As a student of the divine powerhouse Kenneth, he had seen many things in Aiden that left him completely stunned.
For instance, he could tell that Aiden had never received professional training in body arts.
In close combat, Aiden only used the most basic attack methods.
Yet, whether he was dodging or striking an enemy, Aiden’s timing was absolutely perfect!
He even had a strange feeling that if Aiden’s class were Warrior-type, Kenneth might actually accept him as a student.
Just as Graham was thinking this, he heard Cassian say, “Sorry, I really don’t know anything.”
Graham let out a sigh of disappointment. He really hoped Aiden could pass the Strongest Killing Intent Veteran Trial.
But when he turned his gaze back to the trial, his eyes suddenly darkened.
Aiden, who had been slaughtering the Abyss creatures like a madman, suddenly stopped moving. He stiffly turned his head and stared straight up at the sky.
Boom!
A massive shockwave instantly blew away countless bodies and pools of blood across the battlefield.
The sky began to rain red liquid.
Then, a thick, dark fog suddenly covered the ground.
Descending from the heavens was a giant centipede, over a hundred meters long, its body covered in hard, black armor plates.
“Humans, die!”
The creature’s abdomen split open with countless cracks, spewing out a stream of green liquid like a torrential downpour.
Aiden didn’t hesitate for a second. He used every ounce of speed to cast his defensive skill.
But as soon as the green liquid hit, everything on the ground began to dissolve instantly.
The protective shield around Aiden was melting at a terrifying speed.
“Protect the General!”
“Protect the General!”
Amidst these desperate cries, the warriors didn’t think twice. They jumped up, placing themselves between Aiden and the falling acid.
Crash!
The shield shattered completely.
The green liquid rained down on one soldier after another. A sickening hissing sound filled Aiden’s ears, the sound of flesh burning away.
He watched the warriors’ faces warp in pain, and his pupils dilated to their absolute limit.
“Are you crazy? Get out of the way! I can handle this!” Aiden roared.
Squelch!
A mouthful of blood shot out from one warrior. His abdomen was dissolving wildly. First, his white ribs were exposed. Then, as the ribs touched the green liquid, they too began to melt away.
“General, run! Run!”
“Go back and tell everyone on Earth… we lost…”
“Please, if you can… do me a favor. I have a six-year-old daughter… If I can’t make it, kill her before these damn enemies torture her to death and turn her into food. Please, I beg you.”
Aiden’s body swayed violently. He gripped his staff so hard his knuckles turned white and shouted, his voice trembling with rage:
“We haven’t lost yet!”
“Fight to the death! Hold the line!”
Anger and killing intent swirled inside him. His blood-red eyes locked onto the giant centipede in the sky.
In the next instant, Aiden’s body vanished.
Powerful spells kept flying out from the shadows, trying to strike the mighty enemy in the sky.
However, even those devastating attacks could only leave tiny scratches on the giant centipede’s black armor plates.
Clank-clank-clank!
The hard plates ground against each other, screeching painfully.
The giant centipede whipped its body, snatching Aiden right out of the shadows in a flash.
Instantly, Aiden felt a crushing pressure. Most of his bones shattered in an instant, and his ribs pierced straight into his lungs.
“Huff… puff…” Aiden struggled to breathe, coughing up fresh blood.
“Weak human, give up. Victory belongs to the Abyss,” the centipede said, its giant eyes looking at Aiden like he was just an ant.
Aiden was completely immobilized. More green liquid rained down on him, and his flesh began to melt away rapidly.
But despite the pain, his eyes remained firm, burning with killing intent and rage.
He instinctively tried to activate his Black Rock Body transformation, but the moment his mana touched the green liquid, it vanished completely.
Even so, Aiden refused to give up. He opened his mouth wide and bit down hard on the black armor.
The plates trembled slightly. The giant Strength from the impact instantly shattered Aiden’s teeth.
“Foolish. If you still struggle, then die immediately,” the centipede snarled, exerting even more force.
Aiden’s body was crushed by the immense pressure. He spat out a mouthful of blood.
His breathing grew weak and shallow. Finally, the giant centipede released him, letting him fall toward the ground.
“Did we lose?” Aiden thought. His right eye had completely melted away, leaving him only a blurry, hazy view of the centipede’s massive body through his left eye.
He painfully twisted his neck, looking back toward where those human soldiers had been.
There was only a puddle of mixed red and green liquid left behind.
“No! We can’t lose like this!”
“Absolutely not!”
“I know… this is all a trial, not reality. But… I still want to kill you at any cost! Even if I’m torn to pieces!”
“Kill!”
Buzz!
Suddenly, the sharp sound of weapons vibrating echoed through the air.
