Necromancer Of The Shadows - Chapter 1363: Void Requiem (Part 1)

Chapter 1363: Void Requiem (Part 1)
“Both of their armies are bigger than I thought…” Evan muttered with narrowed eyes as he gazed down at the battlefield from the above.
From the eastern side of the battlefield, tens of thousands of dragons, all in their human forms marched in flawless formation. Above the humanoid dragons, thousands more in their true draconic forms soared, the powerful beat of their colossal wings igniting stormy winds and making the very ground shudder.
ROAR! ROAR! ROAR! ——
Their furious roars echoed across the battlefield like war drums and as the sound rolled through the air, tens of thousands of wyverns burst from behind the army and joined the dragons high in the sky.
From the western side of the battlefield, tens of thousands of demons surged forward as well, their ranks a living tide of shadow and flame.
Horned figures clad in obsidian armor moved like a dark flood, while banners of crimson fire whipped violently in the wind. The stench of sulfur and blood spread with them as at the forefront of the ground army, the blood demons and fire demons took the lead.
High above the army of demons, winged fiends screeched in defiance as Nightmare Demons, specialists in aerial combat rode upon them.
As the two colossal armies drew closer, Turoon, the peak Rank Five dragon and leader of the dragons emerged from behind his forces in his true form.
Turoon was a Crystal Dragon, and he looked like a gargantuan sculpture carved from pure purple red, gleaming crystal. His nearly ten-kilometer-long, thousands-of-meters-high body radiated an aura so intimidating that even the earth seemed to bow beneath it.
No sooner had Turoon revealed himself than, from behind the demon army, a peak Rank Five fire demon also stepped forward.
Compared to Turoon, his stature was almost insignificant. Yet, the violent aura pouring from his smaller frame was in no way weaker than Turoon’s.
The instant the leaders of both armies appeared, silence fell over the battlefield for a single heartbeat and even the howling wind seemed to hold its breath.
“Turoon, are you truly going to break the agreement and start a large-scale war?” Molar, the peak Rank Five demon asked coldly.
At his words, a cold sneer spread across Turoon’s beastly face and without offering any reply—
BOOOOOOM!
A storm of searing dragonfire erupted from his mouth, blanketing a vast swath of the battlefield as it hurtled straight toward Molar and the demon army.
Molar’s expression darkened when he saw this and deep black flames ignited across his body as his crimson eyes flared like twin suns of molten rage.
He thrust one of his hands forward, and in the next heartbeat, a torrent of abyssal flame burst from his palm, colliding head-on with the raging dragonfire.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
An apocalyptic explosion thundered across the battlefield and a giant, mushroom-shaped cloud of dust and flame surged tens of thousands of meters into the sky, while shockwave, powerful enough to turn even peak Rank Three Core Evolvers into dust in an instant rippled outward in every direction, destroying the ground.
As the shockwaves rushed toward the demon and dragon armies, countless soldiers felt as if an invisible hand had closed around their throats, making it difficult to breathe.
Yet, just as the shockwaves neared them, waves of energy surged from both Turoon and Molar, dissolving the destructive force without effort.
“It seems there is no way to end this peacefully, is there?” Molar said in a voice as cold as the abyss, his eyes burning with unquenchable flame.
“The moment you demons broke the agreement and killed Bura, there was nothing left to discuss,” Turoon replied, his deep, thunderous voice dripping with killing intent and with a single colossal flap of his wings, Turoon shot high into the sky.
At this point, Molar did not even bother to protest their innocence. He too launched himself into the sky, and in the blink of an eye both he and Turoon vanished beyond the clouds.
BOOOOOOM!
From below, both armies watched as the sky itself began to change color. Clouds spanning thousands of kilometers were swept aside as the two peak rank five core evolvers clashed high above.
The sheer destructive power of Rank Five Core Evolvers was far too great to unleash near lower-level warriors as even a single careless strike could annihilate not only the enemy’s soldiers but their own as well.
As Molar and Turoon battled, the very sky cracked, a vast spiral fissure twisting across the heavens and stretching for thousands of kilometers above the battlefield.
The soldiers of both armies stared at the cataclysmic scene, their breaths caught in their throats. But the stunned silence did not last long.
“Charge!” Samuel, the mid-level Rank Five dragon now in command of the army during Turoon’s absence, bellowed.
At his command, the army of tens of thousands of dragons surged forward like a living tempest.
On the demons’ side, their own high-ranking commanders quickly came to their senses and seeing the dragons charge, they immediately ordered their own forces to advance.
The two armies roared as one, and the ground itself split beneath the force of their march. Dragons soared forward with wings spread wide and claws poised to tear, while demons leapt and surged like an oncoming storm of living darkness, their war cries thick with unbridled hatred.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
The first clash between the two armies detonated with a massive explosion that seemed to shatter the sky itself, the raging war cries echoing like a tempest of death across the battlefield.
Countless attacks collided violently, ripping open the earth as dust, debris, and a rising cloud of blood painted the battlefield in chaos and ruin.
From the sidelines, Evan watched everything with a glint of excitement in his eyes. It was the first time he had witnessed a war of such staggering magnitude. And as he watched demons and dragons alike fall and die across the battlefield, his lips curved upward in a faint, chilling smile.
“It seems it won’t be long before I have enough bodies to raise the level of my Law Seal again.”
