Necromancer Of The Shadows - Chapter 1364: Void Requiem (Part 2)

Chapter 1364: Void Requiem (Part 2)
“What should we do? Do you want to take part in the war?” Sylvan asked as he looked at the battle between the demons and dragons raging across the sky.
“Of course,” Evan nodded at Sylvan’s words. “If we don’t take part in the war, how else are we supposed to achieve our goal of ending it?”
Sylvan rolled his eyes at Evan’s reply but spoke seriously.
“The moment we decide to enter the war, our identities will be exposed. You know that, right?”
“I know,” Evan replied, glancing at him. “But even if we don’t do anything, we won’t be able to hide for long.”
Sylvan raised an eyebrow, not understanding what Evan meant.
Evan looked up at the sky, where Molar and Turoon were clashing, and narrowed his eyes.
“In two or three months, we will be engaging in a war against Winterclaw. At that time, there will be no way for us to hide our identities. Besides, while it may appear to be a war between the Winterclaw and us at first glance, in reality, this conflict will involve nearly all of Utopia.”
“Huh?” Sylvan felt an ominous feeling creep up his spine upon hearing those words and looked at Evan with a deep frown.
Ashley’s expression also changed; the relaxed look on her face vanished completely.
Natasha, on the other hand, appeared utterly confused, unable to follow their conversation.
However, when she heard that they were planning to wage war against Winterclaw, one of the Five Monarchs, her eyes widened in disbelief.
’Why do I feel like I just dug my own grave by joining these people?’ She thought bitterly.
If she still possessed her power from when she was a progenitor, Natasha wouldn’t have cared about fighting a Monarch Physique holder.
But in her current weakened state, where she could only bully Rank Two and Rank Three core evolvers, she felt that joining such a war would mean dying without even realizing how.
Evan ignored Natasha’s thoughts and continued explaining to Sylvan and Ashley.
“Winterclaw is one of the strongest beings in Utopia, and many people constantly keep an eye on his movements. Since the Frozen Monarchy Empire is already mobilizing its army, it’s likely that many have already realized something major is about to happen.” He paused briefly before continuing.
“In the Eastern Territory of Utopia, the Frozen Monarchy is the dominant power. Once other forces see Winterclaw on the move, they will definitely try to uncover what’s happening. And once they learn that the Frozen Monarchy is preparing for war, many of them will willingly side with Winterclaw, hoping to curry his favor.”
Evan looked at Sylvan and smiled faintly.
“On our side, thanks to Alaric, we will be able to command the monsters of the Dark Forest, one of the strongest forces in the Western Territory. Once the Dark Forest joins the battle, the Blood Moon Empire, which is the dominant force of that same region, won’t stand idly by. At the same time, Anastasia has made some kind of deal with Eilistrea, so she will also be joining us in the war, fighting alongside our side.”
Sylvan and Ashley both frowned slightly when they heard Eilistrea’s name, as both of them despised elves to their core. Still, they refrained from interrupting Evan and continued listening.
“As the ruler of the Elvenshine Empire, the most powerful force in the Northern Territory, Eilistrea’s decision to fight beside us means her people and the allied forces near her realm won’t allow her to go alone. If anything were to happen to her during this war, the entire Northern Territory would be affected. So, whether they want to or not, they will be forced to support her.”
At this point, Sylvan and Ashley’s expressions turned strange. Although they had already suspected that the coming war wouldn’t be simple, hearing Evan’s detailed explanation made them realize the true scale of what was about to unfold was far greater than they had imagined.
But Evan still wasn’t done speaking.
“With this, only the Southern and Central Territories remain. From what Anastasia told me, there is a deep grudge between her and Akasha. So, there is a strong possibility that once the war begins, the Celestria Empire, the most powerful force in the Central Territory and its allies will side with Winterclaw.”
He paused before adding, “As for the Southern Territory, the demons and dragons are already at war. And if by chance Eldrakar and Baphomet return from the void space, they will definitely join Winterclaw’s side to tear me to pieces.”
Sylvan fell silent after hearing this. Then, a sudden realization struck him, and his eyes widened.
“Wait a minute… don’t tell me the reason you decided to come here is…” He stopped mid-sentence, staring at Evan in shock.
Evan smiled at Sylvan’s reaction, his eyes narrowing slightly.
“Although it pains me that most of Utopia views an advocate of peace like me as some cold-blooded psycho because of what Azroth did in the past, there’s not much I can do about it. Since I can’t change their opinion, I might as well take advantage of it and make a statement here, warning everyone that if they side with Winterclaw in the upcoming war, they will become part of my shadow army without exception.”
Sylvan’s mouth twitched at the first part of Evan’s sentence, but he decided not to comment on it.
“Are you sure you want to expose your identity here? You realize that things will become far more chaotic once it’s revealed. In fact, the demons and dragons might even figure out that you are the one who stirred up this conflict from behind the scenes.”
“Don’t worry,” Evan said as he looked down at the hundreds of thousands of demons and dragons clashing below. “I know what I am doing.”
Then he lifted his gaze to the sky once more and took a deep breath.
“You can act however you want. I will take care of those two.”
As he finished speaking, Evan didn’t wait for Sylvan’s response and vanished from sight in an instant.
