Rakshasas are akin to a fierce force of nature in the southern continent as they are well versed in fighting and carnage. Some have even become gods revered by mortals which made them ascend to the status of divinity. Rakshasas are already born with the persona level of a demigod and they only need that one push for them to become true gods.

Rakshasas often become hunters in order to gain divinity from other divine beings. They often hunt divine beasts as there are an abundant number of them in the southern continent. Some take on jobs from other gods and they pay using divine energy as a price. One could either become revered as a god or become one by collecting divine energy.

The Hunter Nukeela is part of the latter as he always gets paid with divine energy. He is actually not yet at the level of a lesser god but it is not strange to already consider him as a divine being. He is only one step away from achieving divinity as he believes that doing three or four more missions will be enough to transform his demigod soul into a divine one.

The Hunter Nukeela is a bit curious why the god that gave him this job told him to make sure that the monkey boy is brought alive but he does not need to know it extensively. He is a hunter that is famed for his ability to do all the tasks that needs to be done without questions asked. He can be curious but his curiosity should not hinder him from completing the job.

“You will pay for what you did to my family!” Hanu shouted as he suddenly became larger than he already is and even his strength managed to multiply.

The Hunter Nukeela was supposed to plunge his sharp teeth on Hanu’s thighs to prevent him from escaping but the latter actually swung the gada with perfect timing. The gada hit the Hunter Nukeela’s torso and sent him flying a few meters away. The part of the Hunter Nukeela’s torso could be seen caving in as the power behind the strike that Hanu did is not something the monkey boy does.

“He has already been consumed by that weird divine soul in his body. He is already a lost cause and this is no longer an honorable hunt. I shall finish this and deliver you to my employer. I might be able to increase my pay for you because you possess a divine soul of a powerful beast. If I do not operate by a code then I would have devoured that soul myself.” The Hunter Nukeela stated as the one that employed him is not someone he can go against if he tried to go back against this deal.

The Hunter Nukeela could already see why he is tasked to bring Hanu back alive. The divine soul emanating from the monkey boy’s body is enough to even strengthen a greater god’s soul. This is incredibly rare in the southern continent as resources like that is often hoarded by the influential gods. Even if he tried to covet it, he will become the new target if word gets out that he is the one that devoured it.

The dynamics of the southern continent are often described as a caste system. There are different hierarchies and the most influential of gods are at the highest. Even if you are a god with a small following, you are not immediately placed above those that have powerful influence. This is the reason why the competition for achieving divinity in the southern continent is fierce.

“I think we can negotiate something here. I also need that demi human for something important.” A voice suddenly stated behind the Hunter Nukeela which made him shudder because he did not even notice the presence getting close to him.

The Hunter Nukeela is not an amateur and did not immediately lash out to attack the being behind him. He knew that the being behind him could have injured him or even launched a surprise attack if he so wanted. The fact that he is still in one piece meant that the being behind him is confident that he will be defeated. The Hunter Nukeela suddenly shifted to his more humanoid form as he slowly turned around.

The Hunter Nukeela thought that it would be a god because he felt such overwhelming energy from the being behind him. This type of fierce energy can only be sensed from lesser gods which he is very familiar as they are his frequent employers. When he turned around, the Hunter Nukeela could be said to have become frozen because he saw a demon along with a powerful dragon, a large wolf, and a majestic large bird that all exuded divine energy.

“This one’s name is Nukeela. Can I know the name of the distinguished being that has come before me?” The Hunter Nukeela suddenly spoke in a polite tone as he knew that his death is certain if he tried anything funny.

“Oh! It seems that you are reasonable and I hate wasting my time. Still, I do not need to tell you who I am. In fact, knowing my name might bring you more harm than good. All I need you to know is that I have business with the demi human there. If you wish to live then I shall give you time to get out of here because I do not like crushing those that are severely weaker than me.” Adrian stated as he added some words to get the point across.

Adrian is not bluffing when he said that the Hunter Nukeela cannot match him. Adrian’s control over time, space, and force, has become so powerful that dealing with demigods that cannot counter him is basically a walk in the park. The only ones that can truly give him a challenge are the gods as they have some ways to move even when time is suspended. He only offered the Hunter Nukeela to go away as he did not want to erase the entire area from the fight.
