Chapter 2862: The Hunter Nukeela II

The Hunter Nukeela is not one to back down but his instincts is screaming that the being before him brings death. Adrian would be able to easily kill him if he so wished but he is also not a fool to easily accept what another powerful being says to him at face value. The Hunter Nukeela knows that those with powerful strength can easily twist their words and then kill him when he is trying to flee.

“This humble one will withdraw as long as the great being before me swears that he will not hurt me upon my escape.” The Hunter Nukeela stated as his instincts were still at full alert and he is ready to escape even if he needs to sacrifice a limb.

“I guess you really do need assurance which is fine by me. I swear by the gods that I follow that I will not chase you down if you graciously went away. This oath will only be binding if you have already stopped any desire from capturing that demi human. Do you accept?” Adrian stated.

“This humble one accepts. Thank you for your magnanimity.” The Hunter Nukeela stated as he took a bow and escaped as if his life defended on it.

The Hunter Nukeela did not even dare to look back as his instincts are blaring out. The fact that he is already a hundred meters away but his sharp senses is telling him that he is still not safe. Seeing that he cannot go against the word of the being that suddenly appeared, he just delivered a sacred letter that he has failed the job.

The Hunter Nukeela did think that there was something fishy with the job request which is why he told them that he will only get paid when he finishes it. He deliberately told them that he will not get any advance payment. Thankfully, he managed to listen to his sharp instincts that there might be incredibly danger with the job request.

“That demon back there. He felt like an endless void of power that can easily erase existence. Even the hidden High Gods of the Southern Continent did not make me shake in fear. I suddenly feel pity for that monkey boy because he is now left in that place with a demon like that.” The Hunter Nukeela muttered as he went towards the nearest city to rest.

The Hunter Nukeela did not notice that a black shadow hiding in the shadow of a boulder was watching him. Sirius’ body emerged from the boulder and returned back to Adrian’s location once he has determined that the Hunter Nukeela has indeed kept his word. Since the Hunter Nukeela no longer wants to take Hanu, Sirius returned without problem. If the Hunter Nukeela did take back his promise, Adrian would have instructed Sirius to fight Nukeela to the death.

“It seems that we can now proceed here. I thought I would need to teleport there if a fight does break but it seems that Rakshasa is more honorable than I thought. I have another perspective on their race because of this. You must never give a general stereotype unless you have encountered them.” Adrian muttered as he looked at the pitiful Hanu.

Hanu could be seen just standing there menacingly but his eyes are already blank. The consciousness that should have been controlling the body has passed out. Only instinct and strong will is making Hanu’s body move because he has overexerted himself.

“I should congratulate you on your tenacity in protecting your family but my words will definitely not pacify you. Saena, heal all of them. They might be at death’s door but no one has died yet.” Adrian commanded as Saena agreed.

Saena unfurled her wings which created a healing gust of light that also created golden flames on the bodies of the injured monkey beasts. The monkey beasts thought that they were being killed and are about to accept their fate but they suddenly found themselves being healed by the golden flames. Those that were critically injured suddenly became normal but they passed out from exhaustion.

“For you…” Adrian stated as he went close to Hanu but the latter actually move and tried to smash the former with his gada.

Just before the gada could hit Adrian, something came out of the core on his chest. Three rings made of adamantite, oricalchum, and voidite circling around each other blocked the gada. In the center of these rings is a small black hole that releases particles of void matter. This is none other than the base form of the new Paradox.

“Showing off that you are the superior weapon?” Adrian teased Paradox.

“Paradox is merely protecting the master from harm as is my duty as an ego weapon bound to you.” Paradox replied in a more human like tone as it is no longer like a robot when it replies.

“I am just teasing you, Paradox. I know that you always got my back whenever I need you.” Adrian stated which made Paradox shimmy a little as if it was delighted or even blushed from what its master said.

“Make sure to hold him down for me.” Adrian stated as he is about to reach for Hanu when the monkey beasts started to talk to him as if they were pleading.

“Why are you asking me to spare him? I am not going to kill him.” Adrian stated which shocked the monkey beasts as they did not think another being would be able to understand them since they were not of the same race or species.

Adrian no longer needs to have his soulbounds translate for him because he could understand the speech of any kind of monster. In fact, all summoners that have already finished their third job advancement have this ability by default. The reason is that they speak and hear with their souls instead of actual speech. This is only possible if they are face to face with the beasts and will not work if it is just a video or recording.
