Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System - Chapter 1514 The Reason (1)

Chapter 1514 The Reason (1)
The last time Kent recalled his memories, it ended when Jest had reached the peak of the Sword Legend stage, and Inaya had finally found him after searching for thousands of years.
By then, she had already reached the peak of the Sword Immortal stage, and as the second person to have her name inscribed on the Sword Dao Tablet, she also had her fair share of troubles.
Back then, there were many swordsmen in the universe, some who had already reached the Sword Supreme stage. Jest was a bit stunned when he learned that.
Before he ascended to the Immortal World, he had assumed that the peak was only at the Sword King stage. However, after he met the Sword Dao, that thought changed.
He became aware that there were more sword realms yet to be discovered by him. So he ascended when he reached the peak of swordsmanship in his world.
But he clearly never expected there to be Sword Supremes alive.
Due to this revelation, he knew why he and Inaya were kind of a big deal to everyone. For two no-names to suddenly become recognized by a tablet that descended straight from the Sword Dao, every last swordsman wants to learn more about them.
Every swordsman back then wanted them captured and interrogated to spill the beans. However, despite their strength and danger, they managed to remain alive until they finally met.
It turned out Inaya was being hunted down by a rather vengeful Sword God whom she couldn’t contend against, and so she needed Jest’s help.
When they met, it was a short-lived reunion until they were forced to run again.
Jest may have been a monster back then, but even he was nothing compared to a Sword God. So they ran, and for thousands of years, they kept running.
Eventually, they ended back at the Whispering Wind Sect, where it all began. While on the run, they heard the Sword God after them had attacked the sect, and so they returned to face him, knowing full well there was a chance they wouldn’t walk out alive.
The thousands of years they spent together running saw Jest try many times to become a Sword Immortal, but he failed each time.
Later, he realized why.
It turned out he had yet to conquer the last level of the Sword Bridge, which he had challenged quite a few times before leaving the sect.
He always wanted to conquer all floors one day. However, that never happened, which in a way created a setback for him.
That setback had held him back from reaching the sword immortal stage, so returning to the sect was a gamble, one where he must succeed at defeating the 13th level of the Sword Bridge and break through to the Sword Immortal stage before Inaya ran out of ways to hold back the sword god.
It was the closest both of them came to dying. However, in the end, Jest succeeded, and so after he became a Sword Immortal, the Sword God was pushed back until he had no choice but to run.
But who is Jest if not a vengeful bastard?
From the day Inaya’s clone chased him down, nearly killing him a few times, he had developed this vengeful heart, one that always made him become vengeful against people who tried to use their strength to suppress him.
This was why, after he saved the sect, he decided to get revenge. Obviously, Inaya followed him, and that was when their names started to spread again.
This time, instead of running, they were the ones doing the chasing.
The thousands of years they had spent running were being paid back, and so for thousands of years, they hunted down every last person who came against them and slaughtered them all, making new enemies along the way.
Their revenge lasted for 100,000 years. Along the way, Inaya became a Sword God while her cultivation was still at the Demigod stage.
When Jest finally also became a Sword God and, eventually, they both reached the rank of gods, a threat that aimed to devour the universe descended upon everyone.
With the threat of the foreign race looming, they were forced to abandon their plan for revenge and prepare for the battle that would determine the fate of the universe.
And so they entered seclusion, and for another 300,000 years, they trained very hard. Jest ended up reaching the Sword Supreme stage first, and with his guidance, Inaya did as well.
Back then, the Sword Supreme stage was the peak in the universe. However, Jest knew there was one more stage, the Sword Celestial stage.
His reasoning was rather simple. Since back then there were Celestials, he believed there must also be a Sword Celestial.
Many argued that the realms of sword cultivation were different from true cultivation, so measuring that against true cultivation was just him being overly ambitious.
However, Jest stood by his word and vowed to prove everyone wrong. He made them a promise that he would rise to that level and prove to everyone that there was indeed a rank above the Sword Supreme stage.
Of course, even he didn’t know how to reach it. So he and Inaya set that pursuit aside for the time being and began fighting back against the foreign race.
In no time, they were named the Blood Sword Couple.
They were given this name simply because of the kind of slaughter the two of them committed whenever they appeared on the battlefield.
In no time, thanks to their combined effort, the first wave of the foreign race was eradicated, giving the universe a chance to recover and prepare for the second wave.
It wouldn’t be for another million years before they returned, so Jest and Inaya decided to look for a way to reach the Sword Celestial stage.
After searching for 400,000 years without finding anything, Inaya decided to go back home to prepare for the second wave of the foreign race.
Another reason why she returned home was that she had finally managed to win Jest’s affection after spending millions of years together.
Of course, she hadn’t crossed the line with Jest yet; however, she knew the connection that had formed between them was love.
She felt it, and Jest also did. While the brat was a bit rigid at first, they managed to discover the budding love that had ignited between them after spending over a million years together.
So she returned to her homeworld to prepare a home for them to start a family, while Jest followed the last lead he had discovered, believing it would lead to the last stage of true swordsmanship.
She knew Jest’s love for swordsmanship was undisputed, so she didn’t force him to come with her. Instead, she came home, and for the first time, she put her sword down.
In her heart, she would soon be the mother of Jest’s children, something she looked forward to. However, even after waiting for thousands of years, Jest never returned.
Later, she found out that Jest was running around with another woman.
This betrayal shattered her heart, and as someone who had cultivated the Ten Emotion Sword Dao, she felt its impact on her Love Dao, crippling her potential at the Sword Supreme stage.
To make matters even worse, the heartbreak developed into a heart demon, permanently keeping her at the Universal God stage.
Overnight, she went from someone with limitless potential to someone who would never reach the peak she had promised her dying sister, or become a family person like she had promised her dying mother.
The grandkids she promised to give her went out the window when the man she loved with all her heart betrayed her, leaving her for another woman.
This heartbreak shattered her mind, leaving her depressed for hundreds of thousands of years.
