Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 2142: Completely outclassed

Chapter 2142: Completely outclassed
True to its name, the second form that War took was the form of a knight.
There was a lance and shield that appeared in War’s hand, the armour that had been around War became much thicker than before, and there was even a horse made of corruption energy that formed under War.
Without a doubt, this was a proper knight.
At the same time, we could feel the pressure that came from War.
Once War took this second form, it was a completely different enemy that we faced.
I threw out all thoughts that I would be able to match War, but it wasn’t as if I could give up that easily.
After all, what was being attacked was what I cared about most in this world.
So I had no choice but to fight even if my instincts were telling me to run.
However, I also made sure to send back a message.
“Evacuate the city and guide everyone to a safe place. I’ll do what I can to distract them.”
I had Lupus carry this message on the wind back to the city to the prime minister.
I knew that as long as he received this message, he would know what to do.
Though what he would be able to do was limited…
Still, we had no other choice when facing a monster like War.
After War’s words fell, the mount under War suddenly raised its head and released a cry.
This cry echoed through the air and even seemed to shake the very ground itself. But even more than that, there was this kind of shockwave that was contained within the cry itself that made people feel unstable.
This was the difference in power compared to before.
“How did you do this?” I asked all of a sudden as I stared right at War.
War didn’t seem to mind with the way that it stared right back at me.
Though I couldn’t see War’s face because of the corruption energy, it wasn’t hard to guess that it would have had a smile on its face at this moment. It would have had a smile that would seem like it was looking down on me.
I didn’t think that it was wrong for War to have this since it was clear that the forces of Destruction had the upper hand.
I even thought that their strategy was correct in stalling for time for War to arrive.
Even with all the reinforcements here, it wasn’t as if there was anything that we could do against this monster.
“You didn’t expect this because you met those two idiots. I am a completely different being. Death and I are the real Four Omens, those two were just chosen to fill the numbers. Any real member of the Four Omens would have a second form.” War said this as if it was a natural thing, but I didn’t think that this was the case.
Still, it was important to keep War talking since we needed time to move everyone from the capital.
Only it didn’t seem like War was interested in talking as it suddenly swung its shield and lance.
The way that War moved its armaments showed that it was getting ready to charge.
“Run at full speed.”
I didn’t even bother fighting back, the only thing that mattered was distracting War which was why I had Lupus run at her full speed. I wouldn’t be able to do anything if she used her full speed, but that didn’t matter at all since there was no way that I would be able to break through War’s defenses.
So the only thing now was to avoid all confrontation.
“You’re a bit slow.”
When I heard this, I was surprised to find that War’s mount was easily keeping up to Lupus’ full speed.
I didn’t even bother telling Lupus to run faster since I already knew that this was her full speed because of the connection between us.
“Roar!”
There was a roar that came from above before a wave of flames fell down onto both War and me.
I didn’t need to look up to guess who had released this wave of flames, but I had to say, “Get out of here!”
It was too late by the time that I said this.
I could only watch as War’s lance pointed up at Joan who was flying over us.
But before the attack that War released could hit Joan, she suddenly changed sizes. She made herself as small as possible to avoid the attack, but even then the attack seemed to bend as if it was following her.
Even though she did her best to dodge, she was still grazed by the attack in the end.
Luckily it was only a graze or she might not have survived.
I had Lupus go to where Joan was landing and caught her before we continued to run as fast as we could.
I didn’t know how long War would watch this go on, but I knew that War could easily do something if it wanted to do something. The way that it followed me now was as if it was just playing a game of cat and mouse.
I was completely outclassed by War.
“If there’s anything that you can do, you better do it now or else it’s all over.”
At this point, I was just desperate for any kind of help which made me shout at the Mark of God on my hand. I was hoping that there would be some kind of response, but there was no response at all that came.
With how the Mark of God barely shined, it seemed that the gods were ignoring me.
“Are they abandoning me now that I’m in this situation? Is there really no hope at all?” A feeling of despair filled me at this scene.
As if War could sense it, it suddenly said, “Now that you’re in despair, I guess there’s no need to continue this game.”
