Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 2147 2147: A little bit of…

This church was the exact same as the rest of this place.
“The tides of time really have no prejudice at all, all are equal in the face of time.” I said with a sigh when I saw the mess inside of the church.
With all the rubble in this place, it seemed like it was even more of a mess than the other buildings.
But then again, this place was much bigger than any of the other buildings since this was a church to begin with. It only made sense that there would be more rubble since there would be more things to turn into rubble.
Though after looking around, I found that there was one thing that was still intact in this place.
It was actually right in the center of the church, so it was a bit embarrassing that I didn’t notice it until now.
“It’s another statue of Solista?”
Looking at the large statue right in the center of the church, it was clear that this was a place where the people of the city once worshipped Solista. At the same time, the very size of this statue showed just how much faith they had in Solista.
Or else they really wouldn’t have built a place like this for her.
“If there’s any chance of connecting to the gods, it should be in a place like this.”
After all, I knew what these statues meant since I had a statue of my own.
Each of these statues were connected to the gods that they were made in the shape of. As long as they weren’t completely destroyed, then they would still be connected to the god that they represented in some way.
As long as someone were to show faith, they would be able to connect to the god.
Even someone like me was able to feel a small bond when people prayed in front of my statue, so I was certain that Solista would be able to hear me as long as I prayed in front of her statue.
“But just in case…”
I went right up to the statue and placed my hand on it as I leaned over.
When I placed my hand on the statue, I released my divine energy.
I didn’t push that divine energy anywhere, I just let it surround the statue in an attempt to try and form a connection. It was just that there seemed to be no response that came from the statue when I did this.
Even when I prayed, it didn’t feel like there was anyone watching.
“Is it because this place is completely abandoned? If that’s the case, would that mean that this place is also sealed away?”
The more that I thought about this, the more likely that it all seemed.
Even so, I tried to form that connection with Solista again since it really was my only option. But no matter how I tried to form the connection, it didn’t feel like there was anyone out there that would answer.
In the end, I had no choice but to give up attempting this since it didn’t seem like it would lead anywhere.
“Since this is a city, that should mean that there is a bigger church somewhere here. With the size of the city itself, it should mean that there’s a main branch of whatever religion this is. If I can find that, then I should be able to find something that would allow me to connect to Solista.”
Since it wasn’t possible here, that was the only thing that could be done.
It was just that as I was getting up, I couldn’t help turning back to look at the statue.
“Was it just a mistake or was it…”
I slowly moved towards the statue as I said this, but it didn’t seem like there was anything coming from the statue. It was only after looking at it carefully that I found that there was something coming from behind the statue.
It was a bit hard finding the thing since there really wasn’t any space behind the statue at all. It was only after finding a small compartment that I was able to find this thing.
“It’s a piece of cloth?”
A confused look was on my face as I looked at the thing hidden in this small compartment.
No matter how I looked at it, I didn’t really understand what this thing was.
However, there was no mistaking the sensation that came from this thing.
It was strange that there was this sensation in the first place, but I could tell that there was a little bit of divine energy in this thing.
“Is this some kind of relic?” I slowly reached out to take the piece of cloth, but it seemed like there was something that was stopping me.
When my hand came close, there was this faint barrier of light that appeared that blocked me from grabbing the cloth.
Only this lasted for only a few seconds before the Mark of God suddenly appeared.
Once the Mark of God appeared, the barrier itself seemed to shatter apart.
It seemed like the barrier that appeared recognized the Mark of God and seemed to even resonate with it, which was why it disappeared like this.
“So this thing is related to Solista, but what is it?”
The fact that it reacted to the Mark of God that Solista gave me showed that it was no doubt connected to Solista. Only after I tried putting divine energy into the cloth, it didn’t seem like there was any reaction to it.
“If it was a relic, then it would have had some kind of reaction. Or perhaps this thing has been like this for too long that it’s lost its power?”
Regardless of what it was, it did mean that there should be some kind of connection to the gods in this place.
In that case, I should be able to make contact with them.
Though I tried to keep positive, it really was hard to keep the trace of despair that I felt at bay.
“What if it doesn’t work?”
