Over the past few days where I had been cooped up preparing everything, it wasn’t as if the racial alliance had been idle.
They knew that there would be an assault on the forces of Destruction, so they had been gathering their forces as well.
Though it wasn’t about numbers when gathering.
It was about the people that had the most power that were gathered.
After all, the forces of Destruction weren’t something that could be struck down with numbers alone. What they brought were the ones that remained that had the ability to strike down the corruption energy.
The reinforcements that had been sent to help the Kite Kingdom had gone into the capital to help, so they were trapped inside the capital even now. Even if they wanted to come out, it wasn’t as if they could fight through War and the forces of Destruction stationed around the capital.
Without them, the ones that were able to fight against the forces of Destruction were a bit weaker.
Which was why they had to gather all those that could still face the forces of Destruction.
When I saw all those that were gathered, I knew that we were weaker compared to before.
After all, the bulk of our forces were trapped inside of the capital city.
If we were to have any chance of doing this, we had to rely on the preparations that I made.
Since I was the one that made them, I was the one that also demonstrated everything to the different allies that gathered.
When they saw how these things worked, all of them had the same reaction as the popes. However, that meant that they were also much more confident about the outcome because of it.
This was a weapon that they had never seen before and it inspired confidence in them with the power that it possessed.
It certainly was something that seemed like it would be able to achieve their goals.
But before the fight started, there was one thing that I made sure that everyone knew.
“Your only goal is to scatter them and not fight them directly. There’s no need to risk your lives for this.”
All of them knew what I was talking about and agreed that they would do so, but I could see the doubt that was on their faces. Even if I told them that the only thing that they had to do was scatter them, it wasn’t as if they would believe that I would be able to do anything to War.
After scattering the corruption energy monsters, the only left would be for War to appear.
They all remembered what had happened last time…
Still, they chose to trust that I knew what I was doing.
Mainly because they really didn’t have another choice in the matter.
When we could see the capital, everyone went off to prepare for the assault.
They all went to lay down the items that I had provided them in preparation for the signal that would be given.
The moment that the signal came…

There were large explosions that rang out among the corruption energy monsters, but these were no ordinary explosions. The moment that these explosions appeared, the corruption energy monsters disappeared.
That was because the flames that came from these explosions were made from divine energy. Which was why the corruption energy monsters were purified the moment that they made contact with these flames.
In fact, it was so strong that the corruption energy monsters weren’t even able to react.
This was divine energy of the highest quality that it was able to have this kind of effect.
Because of the way that the explosions happened, the lines of corruption energy monsters were broken down. There was no way that they would be able to regroup when the flames of divine energy were still there in between them.
Not only that, there were some corruption energy monsters that weren’t near the explosions that were also purified. These were corruption energy monsters that seemed to have been hit by some kind of stray shot as they were purified from different parts.
It was as if there was something that pierced right through them with the way that the holes appeared on their bodies.
Simply put, I had created a divine grenade.
They had been tossed in the middle of the corruption energy monsters and cleared out large patches of the corruption energy monsters.
Just like this, the forces of Destruction were scattered and the way forward was cleared.
However, I didn’t make a move yet since I couldn’t find my target.
Even with all the different scouts searching, we hadn’t been able to find the target at all.
Which was why I had no choice but to initiate this even without knowing where the target was. We could only hope that we would be able to draw the target out in the end.
Only the way that it happened wasn’t what we had been expecting.
“I knew that you were still alive. I knew that you would come.”
When this voice rang out, there was a chill that ran down everyone’s spine, even including me.
After all, this was a voice that was very hard to forget.
This was the voice of the one that had caused me all that trouble in the first place, the one that had banished me from this place. Though it could be said that they were the reason why I had found the third inheritance in the first place.
Regardless, I was still angry about how things had turned out between me and the owner of the voice.
Which was why I was here for revenge.
Only things didn’t turn out the way that I thought they would.
As soon as that voice fell, there was a figure that came out of the tide of corruption energy monsters.
This figure was sitting on the back of a horse as they came forward to face me, causing a bitter look to appear on my face.
